Quiet and away from the noise of the typical rv park. Nice grassy spot tucked out of the way. I would have never found it super tired and arriving in the dark from sitting in terrible traffic through Texas but George led me to the spot. I had errands to run in Lafayette and it was nice to not have to pull my camper into town and come back to a quiet dig. The neighboring little towns are super cute, you do need a car nothing is walking distance but if you like dry camping it’s a win.

Talking about exceeding expectations, this was a perfect example. George was a fantastic host who runs the artist cooperative “NUNU” on the other side of the river. It’s a place you don’t want to miss. He met us at the site and made sure we were comfortable and we got to spend some time at NUNU’s the next night where he served family and friends homemade gumbo. The site itself is dry on a quiet street. Within an easily biked two miles from arnaudville, with the friendliest people and a couple of eateries, including “little big cup”. George recommended it and they indeed served some of the best food I’ve had. If you are looking for a quiet space with room to explore rural Louisiana, this is perfect
