This campsite offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with hosts Daniel and Nikki often praised for their exceptional hospitality. Visitors appreciate the site's tranquil setting and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and city lights, making it a peaceful retreat. Many reviews highlight the convenience of the location, easy access to amenities, and the opportunity to spot local wildlife like pronghorns. While some mention limited outdoor relaxation space, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with guests frequently expressing their desire to return.
Beautiful spot, really kind host, easy to get to and a perfect pit stop as we made our way to Yellowstone. Host was incredibly communicative too! Will definitely be back!
The property has an amazing view of the horizon and the twinkling lights of the city below. We really enjoyed are stay, the antelope viewing was a bonus.
We had a beautiful 2 night stay on this property. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating. We parked our 35 foot motorhome at the back of the property to enjoy the mountain views and sunsets.
The location is off the highway and convenient with little noise to be impactful on our sleep.
Definitely recommend this spot and would return!
If you only need 120 power, it was ok. Honestly no place to relax outside as you were in their yard. The owner was awesome! You will not find a better person. If your in need of a overnight stay, yes I would recommend but for a week?
We loved Hilltop! Daniel and Niki were fantastic hosts and their property is wonderful. Private, quiet, and beautiful views! Would definitely stay again!!
Friendly hosts, lovely place that allowed our dogs free rein after several days of camping in national campgrounds where had to be on leash at all times.
The host was very understanding when we had to arrive late. We loved the convenience for our stopover on a long trip and wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!
Daniel and his family were so friendly and helpful. We pulled into town late and they were ready to help us get parked and plugged in. The bathroom was clean and easily accessible. The location is close to the highway but not so close that it’s loud. And the night sky is so amazing. We only stopped for the night but I’d love to go back and explore the area and try one of the burritos!
Since we had to change travel plans over the weekend we booked this site, we weren't able to actually stay here but the accomodations look wonderful. If we travel in that direction again, I would definitely look into booking here again. Thanks for all it has to offer!
This was a perfect resting stop for us on our way to Banff from Santa Fe. The hosts were lovely and the views were top notch. If you get a chance to camp here, you should!
A beautiful private setting with awesome 270 degree view of both the Mountains ans lights of Douglas below.
Daniel and Nikki were welcoming hosts who also allowed our son to pitch a tent. They provided water and power. Easy access to I-25.
Very nice place and wonder host. Would definitely suggest the dinner. The streak and side were very good. The sunset was great overlooking the city. I would definitely suggest staying here.
The hosts were very welcoming and I enjoyed chatting with them and making acquaintance with their pets! There are fields surrounding their property so I got to watch the pronghorn have dinner. Very clean bathroom which is inside the house but accessed from the back door. I would definitely stay there again!
We arrived late in the day but felt very welcomed. We were the only campers that night and my dogs were able to run off leash on the property. I ordered the extra - 6 fresh eggs which were excellent.
What a wonderful view of the rolling hills of Douglas, Wy with birds to keep you engaged while watching the sunset. The site is clean, level and inviting. Daniel, the host is a very kind gentleman who made sure my stay was comfortable. Highly recommend - I know I will return!
Super cute place to stay! The family is super nice and so are the animals!! The property is very clean and well kept. You also get a really pretty view of the sunset. My friends and I really enjoyed staying here.
