Terra Growers is a 100 year-old certified organic family farm located in Springfield WI near Madison. We keep bees, raise free-range chickens and Mangalitsa pigs, and cultivate an extensive variety of orchards, berries and vegetables. Terra Growers features campsites, drive-up and RV sites, and an on-farm store that is open year-round. Our campsites feature comfy sand foundations, shade, privacy, views, and fire pits (if your preferred site doesn’t already have one, we’ll build you one). Most of our sites are “walk up” (we have a hand trolley you can use and/or we’re happy to assist), unfurnished, and have some distant road noise depending on the location of the campsite you choose. If you have specific needs please don’t hesitate to inquire prior to booking your stay. Kindly review our refund policy prior to booking. In the event of foul weather, we can offer a rain check. There is no money-back guarantee.

Pitch your tent on our organic farm! Enjoy solitude just 20 mins from downtown Madison! Be one with nature, relax, glamp, or even volunteer! We’re a certified organic farm so there are always lots of fun things happening. Features include: community patio (across from our store), individual campsites including several drive-up sites, several RV sites, access to hot & cold water, community fire pit, newer outhouse, bird watching, farm tours, & our on-farm store All Good Things (open daily). We offer free-range eggs, honey, veggies & fruit/berries when in season (apples, peaches, plums, mulberries, cherries, blackberries, raspberries, currants, etc). We also have firewood for sale ($5/bundle). We operate mostly on a “park & walk” basis but have several drive-up sites available. Please do not drive to any of our campsites without advance permission. There are times when the ground is too wet (even if it looks fine to drive on). You may use the black HipCart in front of the store for transporting your personal belongings, eggs, firewood, etc to your campsite. Please note that some of our campsites do not have fire pits yet. In the event you choose a campsite that does not have a fire pit, you may talk to us about adding one or use our community fire pit. Laminated copies of our map are also available in the HipCamp Central bin located inside our farm store. Please return the map when done using it. When it comes to animals here’s the scoop: there’s Ruby the Red Heeler, our “mouser” Halo, several hundred chickens (only the most picturesque varieties of course), and a robust pasture Mangalitsa pig operation. Site 1 - Terra Growers RV Site

Enjoy solitude just 20 mins from downtown Madison! We’re a certified organic farm several RV sites, access to hot and cold water, community fire pit, newer outhouse, outdoor shower (hot and cold water), bike path, bird watching, farm tours, and our on-farm store All Good Things (open daily!). We offer delicious free-range eggs, apples, peaches, plums, mulberries, cherries, blackberries, raspberries, currants, almost any vegetable you can think of, honey, flower arrangements, jellies, jams, herbs and much more! We also have firewood for sale. Firewood bundles are located behind the outhouse ($5/bundle). We operate mostly on a “park and walk” basis but have several drive-up sites available however please do not drive to any of our campsites without permission. We have several other dogs who belong to our farmhands who are mostly penned up. We also have a “mouser” (farm cat named Halo who hunts small rodents) so please do not feed her or she will stop hunting. We also have a couple of hundred chickens—only the most picturesque varieties of course. :) And we currently have five pigs (4 girls and one boy named Kevin Bacon). They joined us in the summer of 2023 and have already tripled in size! Check out the hilarious Instagram video of Kevin freaking out when he learned of his new name! Such an adorable cozy and lovely area! The accommodations were nice and everything was well kept and clean and organized, lovely hosts as well! Would totally come back for sure during spring or summer season, came during harsh rain and wasn’t able fully explore and stay on site but was still such a nice experience! They also have a small shop and we were able to buy pumpkins! Very cute! Very lovely!

We really enjoyed our weekend here! We were close to Middleton, we enjoyed seeing the animals frequently on the farm, and the hosts were great communicators and very welcoming! There was a bit of walking (maybe 1/4 mile?) between the parking area and the camp site, which made setting up a bit difficult, but not terrible. Our site was private and spacious. There was definitely traffic noise, which we didn't mind and at night was like a white noise machine. The only bathroom was an outhouse, which my 10 year old struggled with, but that builds character right? :D

I loved camping at Terra! So peaceful. There was some road noise, but that was fine. We set up really late, so we took the closest site to the parking lot. Would come back again!

The man that showed us around was very friendly. There were several sites to choose from. We found a large, flat space to set up camp. The bugs were minimal and there was a fire ring. The space was very private and safe. The walk from the car was pretty long though and most of it uphill. Also that is where the toilet is located.

We liked waking up to the pig squeals and rooster crows instead of an alarm clock. The owners and staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Very well kept cute little outhouse too.

Stayed here for the second time and it was great! I had a nice, tucked in spot where I felt I had privacy but also just a short walk to the outhouse. Outhouse is clean and well stocked with everything you may need. I did not end up using the shower, but there is one if you need it. I had a nice walk around the property with the owner who told me all about his farm - which was very cool. Saw some lil piggies, dogs, tons of wildlife...all around great trip. As a solo, female traveler I did feel safe at this location.

Staying at a farm offers a unique way to connect with nature. Walking through the gardens and watching the pigs and chickens reminds us to slow down. The staff treated my three littles with such kindness. We had an unforgettable experience.

This was my first time with Himcamp and I enjoyed my stay here! The grounds were quiet and I had plenty of privacy. I think I was the only camper my first night so I got first choice of where I stayed! Would camp here again if I got the chance!

We were looking for a space to get together with some old friends and liked the option of booking multiple sites. We got some sites together that were a bit away from the main entrance but was a manageable walk. We liked being farther from the working part of the farm to avoid disturbing anything. Host was great to talk to, he walked us around sharing what was going on at the farm at the time while showing us the options. We got a cozy area in the trees with plenty of space for tents and the fire pit. Very enjoyable night. The flipside of the convenience of being so close to Madison, there are some busy roads close by. There is road noise present. Also, note that the shower is a work in progress so check the current posting.

Paid for farm tour, showed up when they said to for said tour. No one showed up or texted us about cancelling. Otherwise had good stay, wish it was organized better. Seems to be more organized online then it actually is.

Super nice and communicative hosts! Elliot showed us around and gave us lots of options of places to stay. I really enjoyed chatting with him, and the lil piggies were so cute! The campsites were really nice and the hosts were very thoughtful.

We (2 adults, 2 dogs) had a great stay. Despite it being a working farm, there was minimal noise and at night it was very peaceful. Elliot was a great host, and we had some nice chats, despite him being busy. Ruby the dog was a friendly visitor, and she interacted well with our dogs. We took some cherry preserves home with us. Delicious and highly recommend. Steve.

These hosts are the sweetest humans and made this such a fun and safe experience. They’re very knowledgeable, accommodating and have such a cool property to stay on that felt remote and private but was accessible to the city and other attractions. Couldn’t recommend them more 💚🌱

Elliot was great at explaining all the activities at this working farm. I happened to arrive when baby piglets were there. They were adorable and surprisingly rough to pet. I was able to select which trees I wanted to hammock camp from and he weed-wacked the spot for me. I would stay there again.

Lovely spot not far from Madison! Hosts were kind and it was great to buy farm-fresh eggs on the way out. Not super remote, which I was totally fine with (could hear highway from site), but of note if you’re looking for something more off the beaten path. Would definitely recommend!!

This was our first Hipcamp experience so nothing to really compare it to. The people were friendly. The outhouse was clean and well maintained. Wood was dry and burned well. We enjoyed walking around the farm and seeing their curly-haired pigs. We didn’t try the outdoor shower, but we were told it was operational and we were welcome to use it. Location was very good - we grabbed a beer at Octopi Brewing and one on Memorial Union terrace at the UW. I would recommend asking for a spot away from the parking lot and store - that probably is our only complaint. It was a nice night’s stay.
