Scheffel’s Hideaway Campground stands out as a unique family-owned retreat, perfectly situated against the expansive Point Beach State Forest, offering campers a serene escape surrounded by nature. With the forest enveloping two sides of the campground and a popular restaurant/pub nearby known for its delicious pizza, guests can enjoy a delightful camping experience in a picturesque setting. Since its inception in June 2009, Scheffel’s Hideaway has evolved into a welcoming destination, officially opening its doors in Spring 2011. We proudly offer 63 spacious campsites, including pull-through options, each equipped with water and electric hook-ups, and many featuring sewer connections. Whether you prefer RV camping or tenting, our sites provide the ideal backdrop for your outdoor adventure. Our conveniently located bathroom and laundry facilities ensure comfort, while large, private showers are accessible from outside the buildings. For nature enthusiasts, the campground is a gateway to endless outdoor activities. The Rawley Point Bicycle Trail runs adjacent to the campground, providing easy access to miles of scenic beauty. You can venture north to explore the Ice Age Trail and the trails at Point Beach State Park, or head south to ride along the Mariner’s Trail, which hugs the stunning Lake Michigan shoreline.
