The campsite has an absolutely beautiful view. It’s rare to find a completely private spot with no other campsites. The location was easy to find and close to a small town and not far from a larger city.

This is such a beautiful, serene spot overlooking the river with plenty of room for our dog to run off his energy! Susan was quick to get back to me with answers to my questions and was warm & friendly with replies.. She has a wonderful garden that she allowed us to pick vegetables and herbs from and she wouldn’t let us pay for them, which was so generous! This was our second time here; we’ll be back next year! Thanks so much Susan!

This was a pleasant surprise. Nice and remote location on a small hill with horses close by. You may hear dogs barking from afar but not disturbing. Fire pit also there.

Loved the site! Incredible views and the hosts were great and provided us water and firewood. He even mowed the grass to make the site neat and comfortable. Our dog had a great time running around and enjoying nature too!

If you're looking to truly unplug and reconnect with nature, this off-the-grid campsite is the perfect escape. Nestled along the stunning Chippewa River, the views are nothing short of breathtaking. Waking up to the views of the river and the peaceful rustle of the grasses and trees was pure serenity.
At night, the sky comes alive . . . on a clear night it's like sleeping beneath a galaxy. Literally, this spot is awesome. It was one of the most peaceful and grounding experiences I've had in a long time.
Susan, the host, made everything even better. She was so incredibly kind and thoughtful—welcoming, helpful, and genuinely caring about our comfort and experience. It's rare to meet someone who so clearly loves sharing her little slice of paradise. This place is something special. I’ll definitely be back. Highly, highly recommend for anyone needing a true nature retreat.

River to Ridge Farmstead was our first experience with Hipcamp and I have to say the bar has now been set really high! We loved it! The hilltop campsite was private and spacious with the most spectacular views. Ideal for my husband and I and our dog. It was a bird watchers paradise with so many interesting birds beyond the usual. We even heard a barred owl at night. There’s a lot to do in the area with both Brunet Island State Park and Wissota Lake State Park a short distance away. We had the best ice cream at Dylan’s Dairy in Cornell and enjoyed an afternoon in Chippewa Falls. It was so nice to explore the area during the day and relax at the campsite in the evening. The site was perfect for our 1708fb Minnie Winnie. We set up camp at the very top of the hill and experienced a cool breeze at night. We enjoyed a campfire in the evening and early morning coffee with the sunrise. We loved our stay at River to Ridge Farmstead. Everything was as described. We will definitely be back!

Absoulutely the most beautiful camping setting we have been in! Site is up on top of a hill overlooking the river with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets plus an abundance of stars at night. Our Red Healer loved the vast amount of space to explore with no one in sight to get his guard up (he's very protective). We will definitely be back!

River to Ridge exceeded our expectations!!! The scenery was absolutely beautiful! Prairie grass, wild flowers, view of the surrounding tree tops, as well as the Chippewa River down below. It was so incredibly peaceful. We also enjoyed hiking, in the nearby Missota State Park, biking the Old Abe State Trail, swimming and hanging out on the rocks by the river, and paddling our canoe. We are sure to visit again!

What a beautiful site.! It was so relaxing overlooking the river and the horse pasture, and loved the way the horses all came running to the fence to watch us park. We had a lovely weekend stay.

Beautiful views!! Susan and her hubby were very helpful with making the site comfortable for us. Higher on the hill is more level if you’re trying to level a camper. Loved watching the sunrises/sunsets and the beautiful horses on the next hill. Close to town too! Right on the Chippewa River for fishing as well.

Camping at River to Ridge Farmstead is a quiet, beautiful retreat. The scenic view is gorgeous all day long. Our dogs loved being off-leash and roaming the field. It's conveniently located between two small towns, in case you forget something.

Fabulous view overlooking farm and river from a top of hill. Its perfect for pop-ups, Class Bs or tent camping. However, it's not really meant for a travel trailer, 5th wheel or Class A or C. There is a flat surface close to barn for any other vehicle.
Sunsets, horses roaming, fireflies at night, morning songbirds and firepit made this experience outstanding!!

The views were beautiful here! The grass was high and thousands of dandelions covered the area. It made for some pretty photos! Susan was really kind when I reached out with a few questions. Cell service (t-mobile) was spotty heading to the site but we had full coverage on the hill. It was a relaxing night stay.

I only stayed at Susan’s campsite for the night, but I had a great time. Her and her husband were very nice. I had an amazing view of the Chippewa river and the neighboring horses, while I enjoyed a bonfire. Definitely the peaceful night I wanted and I would absolutely recommend staying here.

A-Liner Weekend Trip

My partner and I brought our pop-up A-Liner this past weekend. The property is so beautiful! We picked a perfect October weekend and somehow lucked out with 70 degree weather! The colors are just starting to change, so we got a beautiful view of the farm, river, and surrounding hills. There are trails along the outskirts of the property, too. The drive between Eau Claire and Jim Falls is so beautiful! Close enough to explore the river and hit up Cornell/Brunet Island... or just hang out at the campground. Very private, quiet, and peaceful. I loved the sound of the cows. We also brought our dog who is typically pretty anxious, but she LOVED it! We will definitely return!
The entrance is unmarked and is, in fact, on 215th as noted in the description. It's near the top of the hill by the giant round hay bales. Since the location is at the top of a hill, I could see campfires being a bit tricky if it were windy. We didn't have that issue, however. There is also no shade, so if you do not have any type of shade (car awning, screen tent, canopy, camper), you may get warm in the summer.
