The house and property have been here since 1919.  The dairy barn was built in 1919.   Cows were milked in the barn until the 1970's. Before that, the area was a walking trail/encampment site for Native Americans, as it is close to the Wisconsin River.  Later, it was frequented by French explorers and fur trappers.
