With 20 spacious sites designed for self-contained campers, Nicolet Trail Campground is not only perfect for fairgoers but also caters to ATV enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers. Located at the intersection of Washington and Richmond streets, the campground provides easy access to the Nicolet State Trail, which begins in Gillett. This trail is a popular launching point for ATV users, offering approximately 30 miles of scenic routes through Oconto County, connecting communities like Suring, Mountain, Lakewood, and Townsend. The Nicolet State Trail extends over 89 miles through the breathtaking Nicolet National Forest, leading all the way to the Michigan state line. Campers can enjoy the thrill of exploring this expansive trail system, which is perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and ATV riding.
