Mt. Brooks is located halfway between Chicago & Milwaukee, Kenosha & Lake Geneva. We are surrounded by lakes with great fishing and boating, woods, and many mountain bike trail systems nearby, including Silver Lake Park, Grand Geneva, Lake Geneva Canopy Tours, Kettle Moraine, Petrifying Springs, and more. We are a: 25-minute drive from Six Flags Great America. 4 miles from the Wilmot Speedway, and Wilmot Mountain 15 minutes from the Bristol Renaissance Faire We have hiking trails on-site throughout the woods. You may mountain bike on-site but we require an additional waiver to be signed. Our trails are technical and require intermediate-level riding skills. Mountain Bike specific bikes and helmets are REQUIRED. No striders, coaster brakes, or non-geared kids' bikes are allowed on the trails. Want a lesson to learn to mountain bike? We are professional mountain bike instructors. Check out www.brooksadventures.com. We also have fatbikes available for rent. Take them to any trail system in the area. Our big red dog loves people and runs the property. Everette keeps the coyotes at bay but you may still see the fox, deer, and rabbit families that live on-site. Do your kids love trains? The property is located on one of the original circus and ice transport railways. Canada National trains do roll by from time to time.

A Walk in the Woods
Excellent spot close to Milwaukee
Awesome spot. Awesome hosts. Angela and Matt were very welcoming and accommodating. Everette, the dog, is very friendly and will visit you from time to time. He pops in for a few pets, and then off he goes... Check out my YouTube channel Average Jay's Camping for a full video walkthrough. Firewood is on site for purchase. There is potable water close to the site. There is a power outlet by the water. I'm unsure if it's on or not. My power banks keep me going all weekend. Pros: Great hosts. Easy to find. Parking is very close. Plenty of room for tents of any size. Open sky for stargazing. A bar and other businesses are nearby. Cons: (none are deal breakers) Site is very close to the house. In summer, I'm sure the foliage provides privacy. In the fall, not so much. But they didn't bother me, and I hope my music didn't bother them. The train is close and frequent. If peace and quiet is your goal. This isn't for you. In conclusion, I will definitely be returning.

A Walk in the Woods
Beautiful property & excellent host
Our stay at Mt. Brooks was an excellent experience from start to finish. Angela and Matt were friendly and accommodating. The "Walk-in-the-Woods" campsite was private and beautiful, with potable water nearby. While listed as 11 acres the property seemed like 100, with dense woods and fields crisscrossed by well-maintained trails. We chose Mt. Brooks because of its proximity to the New Munster wildlife area where we had planned to do some hiking, but we never left after setting up camp! Railroad fans (which we are) will especially appreciate the nearby CN tracks which, while not visible from our campsite, were easily reached by a short hike through the woods. The sounds of the occasional freights rumbling by were soothing and added to the romance of this camping experience. Thank you to Angela and Matt. We will definitely plan to return.

Base Camp
This is a very nice location with little trails that are great for dog walks. The property abuts railroad tracks. Angela and her husband are very welcoming. Sites have lots of screening vegetation.

Base Camp
Great home base!
Angela’s space was wonderful! It looked pretty flat but our 28” trailer told us otherwise, would be better suited for a smaller rig. The rain kept us from playing too much on the trails, but we hiked some with our dog. Everette, hee big red gold dog was so sweet. Angela communicated wonderfully through the app, met us in the drive to show us the site, and made sure to pop in and ask how things were going, not obtrusive at all, just neighborly camper style! Will definitely be returning! Perfect for any sports team playing in the area (we were there for baseball at Sandlots, just a quick 5min drive!)

Camping with many options
I loved camping in my van at Mt. Brooks! Everet the red dog was a great greeter. The trails at the area are a wonderful perk, along with being a train lover you can have a private viewing of trains going by on the back side of the property while enjoying my own beverages of choice. Helped to be self sustainable in my van, no facilities at this time, but was great to test my off grid system and capability all while getting to rip on my mountain bike and enjoy the out doors! Thanks Brooks family for having a great location and sharing with me!
