Tranquil and quiet sanctuary on 40 acres of gorgeous mixed terrain, open for your enjoyment and recreation! A 12 acre lake with amazing wildlife/birdwatching, 20 acres of wooded trails for hiking or mtn biking, a 6 acre meadow, gorgeous sunsets and night skies, and whatever else you make of it. All this just an hour from the Twin Cities and directly off a county road for simple access. Our sites prioritize privacy and coziness with the aesthetic of the natural environment in its pure state for your enjoyment. They come with a free bundle of firewood, and kayaks are available to rent for a modest fee. Note in planning your trip: we are blessed to be immersed in all aspects of Wisconsin culture, and that includes an occassional gun shoot! The nearby Amery Sportsmans Club has regular skeet shooting hours just twice per week, Sundays 11-2pm, and Tuesdays 5-8 pm. It can be quite noisy for an otherwise blissful environment! Tuesday bookings are therefore 1/2 off, and please keep this in mind should you want to extend your stay into Sunday afternoons during the warm seasons.

Serene and secluded camp spot on east side of lake making for splendid sunsets. Easy access from main road (caution for larger rigs: shoulder is a 6 foot 35° decline off street into the field). Amazing birdwatching and wildlife opportunities. A complimentary bundle of firewood is provided. Kayaks can be rented and additional firewood purchased, see 'EXTRAS' when you book. FYI, the site also hosts an unoccupied stationary camper, but photos show the actual space available, and you are free to use the whole site. Camper deck may be used, but please keep grills/fire off. Kayaks available for rent. Hike around the nearly 40 acres of prairie and woods and unwind here, less than an hour from the cities. Enjoy your stay!

Rustic site on west side of pond, can pull in off the road easily (4WD recommended but not necessary) and access the site next to pond, field, and clearing for RV. Site features fire pit, ample shade for hot summer days OR open field for sunbathing. Forest trails, and direct access to the pond. A complimentary bundle of firewood is provided. Kayaks can be rented and additional firewood purchased, see 'EXTRAS' when you book. Note: site pictured next to pond is accessible through a clearing of flora on foot only, about 15 feet from field (see 2nd pic), but campers are free to set up wherever you like in adjacent field or at campsite. Whatever works for you! PS - for taller vehicles or cars with less bottom clearance, please refer to picture of street shoulder turnoff for what to expect in accessing site.

Such a great retreat from the city! I used the provided kayak for a sunset paddle and the firewood was at site as well. Gorgeous sunset and even better sunrise! Quiet, private, and the view was stunning. I took a bunch of photos to make oil paintings. Bob Ross! Haha The host was so great helping me back out on my tear drop’s maiden voyage. Nice guy! Thanks Adam! Only an hour from TC and plenty of places to stock up for needs along the way. Loved it.

Absolutely amazing. At first we weren’t sure about the unoccupied camper sharing the site with us, but we used the porch for staging various things and the kids enjoyed putting a “play” on for us. The kayaks were an amazing experience and definitely worth the add on. This was our 3 kids’ first camp experience: 4, 8, and 11. These kids are diehard iPad kids and they didn’t even ask about their devices even once. They had so much fun exploring, kayaking, swimming, finding bugs, and sharing in the camp chores. The site was large enough for us to have a camp kitchen, a bigger and a smaller tent, plus a sanitary tent (bucket toilet and shower). The added amenities of the electricity and water were indispensable for our large and inexperienced crew. We can’t thank Adam enough for the incredible experience his land offered us!

Awesome spot right on the water! Really pretty, really cozy. Only complaint was that we got flooded out in the early AM, heavy rain and the whole camping space & tent was flooded real bad. Awesome on a sunny day tho!

This was the perfect weekend getaway just an hour and a half out of the Twin Cities! I decided to hit the road last minute and Adam answered me right away to let me know which spot would be the best fit for my 26 foot Skoolie. Everything was clean and there was even complementary firewood there for me. I was hoping to get out for a long run in the morning and Adam took time out of his day to explain the best routes for me to run. I never got out on the water, but that looked perfect too! Definitely will visit again.

Great view of the lake and nice to have the kayak to explore it. Adam was quick to get back to me in answering my questions. There is a nice lower level deck (without railings) to put your chairs on and to set up the Blackstone for grilling. Site is very private as well. We really enjoyed our stay!

What an excellent spot under an hour and a half from the cities! Brought our pups and paddle boards and the dogs had a blast running in the field and going for a paddle board on the lake. The spot is very private and we felt like we had so much room to explore! We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful lake view. Easy to get to. The host was friendly and checked in with us to see how our stay was going. In case accessibility is a concern, the path to access the lake is on the steep side. Swans, frogs and turtles all came by for a visit, it was a lovely weekend.

Adam was a great host, knowledgeable, kind and welcoming. As a single woman I felt safe there and slept really well. I was a last minute guest on a random weeknight while driving through the state and Adam was able to get everything ready for me within a few hours. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend. Level ground for my van, private and had shade. The kayak was an awesome bonus.

The sunsets were stunning, especially on the kayaks! The site is plenty big for two tents; a 4 person and a two person. There was a random camper on the site that was unexpected, but we worked around it. We saw a lot of wildlife including swans, turtles, birds of all sorts, and the tiniest, most beautiful fawn we've ever seen!

We had a nice time at this campsite, it had a beautiful view! We enjoyed being able to use the kayaks, it was a nice perk for sure. There are two things I would note as not my favorite though, the first being traffic noise. You can hear all the traffic (from what I assume is Hwy 46), the vast majority of the time. If the wind was just right, it wasn't too bad, but it was very noticeable otherwise. The second thing to be aware of is that you are surrounded by public hunting land. We were woken up both mornings we were there at 6:30am by multiple, very close gunshots. These may not be a deal breaker for some, but I feel it would be nice if it was noted somewhere. Overall, it's a nice site, but peace and quiet was not always available when tent camping.

Wonderful, quiet, secluded tent campsite. We took the kayaks around the lake and enjoyed a campfire in the evening. Very quiet and enjoyed the various trails to walk our dog. Host was very responsive and helpful! I would definitely stay again!

What an amazing campground it was very peaceful and beautiful we found a tiny little toad when we arrived it was so adorable and the Lilly flowers in the lake were also gorgeous we had an amazing stay thanks to the host he was awesome and easy to communicate with and there's a free kayak by the lake to enjoy and see the whole view overall I would gladly recommend this place if you like camping by the lake with an amazing view.

We loved camping by the lake! The site was large and comfortable fit our two tents, a 4 person and a 6 person. It was lovey to be right by the water, and the bugs weren’t bad at all. Probably the least buggy place we have camped all summer! The lake was perfect for paddle boarding/kayaking, and we spent a lot of time on the water enjoying the sun. Adam was wonderful to rent from—he is friendly and communicative, and answered any questions I had right away! I would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone who is looking for a drive in site that still feels remote, and anyone who likes to spend time on the water. We hope to be back again in the future!

Adam was very prompt and responsive with messages prior to and during our stay. He was very flexible with modifying our reservation when the extreme heat had us delay our arrival. He has a nice property with a great little lake. There was miscommunication regarding the recent placement of a camper trailer on the spot. Because of the camper trailer, there was not enough room for us to set up our pop up camper. Adam quickly addressed the issue by apologizing and sending a refund.
