Overall this was a nice place. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming, sunset was pretty, and there was a lot of space. We were also the only campers, so it felt private.
We felt the price was high, but paid it because it was a holiday weekend and sites were scarce. When we arrived we saw that the other site has a full "glamping" setup, which looked really nice and would probably have been worth the higher price, but we couldn't tell from the Hipcamp posting that was an option. Our site was spacious but the grass and weeds were very tall and there were a lot of ticks (which is normal this time of year, but watch out). There was a robins nest with new chicks right by our firepit which was fun for the kids. The hosts kindly let us use the other firepit so we wouldn't disturb the chicks.
Also, the automated directions from Hipcamp send you to the wrong place, so check with the host for proper directions.
The only downside for us was that the portable toilets were not on site (host informed us it had broken and couldn't get delivered until after the holiday). They had replaced with a camping toilet/bucket setup, which was fine. Again, overall a nice stay, just didn't feel worth what we paid.
