Learn more about this land: Welcome to "Griff Run" - our 13-acre organic hobby farm situated in a private valley in SW Wisconsin. Steal away from reality at Griff Run - approximately 15 minutes to Richland Center and 25 minutes to Viroqua. Griff Run has been rated a 5-star accommodation for travelers since 2017. In 2020, we expanded our offerings by adding camping. Please note that our sites are listed as "not suitable for children" under 12 due to country road hazards, electric fence, gated pastures, etc. We offer quiet, beautiful landscapes, privacy and convenience. Hipcamp guests enjoy visiting with our alpacas whenever they choose, enjoy hot showers, a charging station, clean porta potties, a wash sink, potable water and Wifi at our restored, historic red dairy barn. Electricity is available at our Big Willow Creek campsite. We operate an on-farm vintage shop in our historic dairy barn - Red Barn at Griff Run is open on Saturdays from 9A-4P and offers home baked goods every Saturday morning. Baked goods offered change weekly but often include chocolate croissants, espresso brownies, chocolate chip cookies and scones. Want to get to know us better? Great weekend in the Driftless
We loved camping at Willow Creek! The fire pit comes with useful tools and a grate to put over it so you can cook - we loved our cast iron meals! The bathroom was clean, the sink was a nice feature, and the shower was incredible! Hot water and all. We enjoyed star gazing under the willow tree at night and feeding the alpacas in the daytime. We even got to buy some yarn made from the aplacas’ coats! I highly recommend visiting the barn on Saturdays if you are around. Great hospitality and close to so many outdoor activities in the Driftless, like canoeing and biking.

We had a great time! The space was very clean and welcoming, and it was such a fun bonus to feed and watch the alpacas!

Beautiful spot, easy camping
The farm was great! The campsite was easy to find with the hosts directions on Hipcamp. Really cool to check out the alpaca in a really amazing farm nestled in this valley. Having water, a toilet and shower made it easy too! The stargazing was incredible!

Avoid the crowded State Parks
We loved staying at Willow Creek! It was so much better than staying at a noisy and crowded state park campsite. The kids loved feeding the Alpaca. The star gazing was also amazing due to very little light pollution. Thank you Shawna and Matthew, we hope to come back again!

Camping on a farm!
We met Matthew (husband) and Holland (daughter) plus Alice, the friend who helps run the eclectic shop. Shawna was available by messaging and responded quickly to our questions. They are all a very friendly and helpful family. We couldn't have asked for a better stay! (Well, maybe for it not to rain, Lol). This place was great! We loved the alpacas, even to just sit near them because alpacas don't like to be petted much, but we knew that! We just liked them being there to watch and even feeding them some grain treats. The seating in the animal area was relaxing. The shower was hot and amazing especially after being soaking wet from the rain, and wanting to be warmed up. We also enjoyed some eggs each day for breakfast, a warm fire by our campsite, and some delicious baked brownies from the shop! It's a pretty and primitive ( have to drive a ways (at least 20+ minutes) to restaurants, wildcat mountain state park, etc) yet very great stay and also nice to be away from places. We'd love to come back and stay in the cabin or BNB sometime too. Yep, we loved it and would recommend this place for a night or two of camping. We stayed in our tent so no electricity needed for us, but they also do have a charging station by the barn area for guests to use. We kind of felt like we were glamping a bit! So many amenities not often found for campers!
