The site was huge and scenic with the stream and the pines. No one was using the youth camp area when we went in the fall, so they let us take the short walk to the bathrooms which was a nice perk especially for kids. Private and plenty of space for 3 tents.

We had the best time and Patrick was so accommodating to our group before and during our stay! We would definitely book again and recommend to others too for big groups looking to have space to unplug in nature with ease of toilets, showers, and electricity close by! Thanks for such a great stay!!

5 Families, 10 adults and 11 children had a wonderful stay at these cabins despite the oppressive weather. The creek was a wonderful place to spend the day, and we paid for the kitchen building which was our place to congregate in the evenings out when the weather wasn’t cooperating. The beds were serviceable, and everyone that needed one had a fan at night to keep cool. Falling asleep to the sounds of the rivers rapids at night was wonderful.
The Patrick was great and very attentive. Our group was already talking about planning next year by the time we left.

We absolutely loved our stay!! It was everything we wanted and more. We had a group of 15 and had so much room to spare. Patrick was incredibly accommodating and attentive throughout our stay. Tubes were available to float in the creek as an added bonus! We hope to visit again in the future!

This place was the perfect place for our group that wanted to go "camping" but didn't have all the supplies. This summer camp was just right for us and had so much to offer being right on the water. Highly recommend!

Patrick was a great host he made sure we got everything we needed to be comfortable. He was just a call away if needed anything. The view was amazing and gorgeous I loved every bit of it from the water right behind the cabin to the trails we went on it was a friendly area as we had to go into town for some food items we forgot. It was far enough from the road that you didn’t really see the cars but just close enough to hear them. It was dog friendly, my pup absolutely loved being outside all day. The beds were my favorite as I love the floating feeling. Although we didn’t bring the kids this time it did have a lot of places for kids to play. It had a volleyball field and a basketball court. Along with games and chairs for kids as well. All in all one of the best places I’ve been to

It’s a good place to camp,the river is beautiful,good place to take pets,Patrick is a very attentive and helpful.I recommend this beautiful place with so much history.if you like photography here you won’t regret.thank you Patrick!!

The lodge was beautiful for me and my family. The photos do not do it justice as is a gorgeous property that has a game room underneath it located directly next to the river. You are serenaded by the stream, and rock to sleep in the hanging beds. One note is that there is no kitchen so we brought hot plates and griddles to do our cooking outside. The lodge is on an entire camp and we very much enjoyed exploring it and using its amenities. It felt very Wes Anderson. We will be back and would love to do a family reunion here.

We had a great time tent camping! Beautiful scenery, river close by, and the site felt private and peaceful. The bugs were pretty bad, even with a campfire, although this tends to be the price to pay for being so close to the water. Would recommend!

Such a great experience. Patrick was a phenomenal host that checked up on us occasionally making sure we didn’t need anything. The shower houses were very clean. We did not do as much exploring as we would have liked due to the ticks being terrible. This place is great if you have dogs as well. An all around relaxing and peaceful experience!

The spot we stayed was called the chapel it was great spot right off the river and the host went above and beyond for us. He brought us wood within a timely matter of us asking. Also Was very respectful. The spot was well maintained and had plenty of room for our tents and plenty of privacy

We really enjoyed our stay! We arrived on motorcycles and there was plenty of room to set up camp. We fished, had great fires, and the host was very responsive. We will definitely be camping at this site again!

Honest review:
I have to say the stay here was overall pretty good. The site on creation ridge is very secluded and is quite large. Some things I dislike about the property is that it is located within hearing distance of a high way, and has no nearby bathrooms. The owner also hadn’t mowed the property quite yet, so grass was long and mosquitos were bad, but this will likely get solved for newcomers. This is quite trivial however, as you can just use the bathroom in town. My partner and I did fly fishing at local rivers and streams with some great success. The owner of the property, Patrick, was a great person and very communicative on the app. The wood bundle comes with dry, cut wood which is nice, but I recommend getting more than one bundle. I would definitely stay here again.

I loved that this place wasn't horribly busy when we were there. There was a waterfall just down the way. Nice clean bathrooms, nice cabin, fantastic host!

We really enjoyed our stay! The site is beautiful, right on a lovely creek with a big fire pit, benches, a big tent pad and a trash can. Lots of amazing hikes nearby. Would absolutely recommend!

I absolutely LOVED The Lodge. Patrick provided a written history of the property, including some of the buildings that were built in the 1920s. He's done a fantastic job of restoring them, and I find the sense of history to be very grounding. The Lodge sits on top of a gorge with a creek (that looks an awful lot like a river to me!) running through it. A screen porch runs the length of the backside of the building, and I spent hours sitting out there listening to the water rushing over the falls and enjoying the breezes that came through. The bedroom I chose on the second floor had windows facing the creek as well, and a swinging bed hanging from the log rafters. I felt like I was sleeping outside in a hammock! The creek is gorgeous, with a very sturdy iron bridge crossing it so you can get great views of the falls from different heights and angles. Black River Falls itself has a wealth of outdoor activities to enjoy. Patrick is a wonderful host, very helpful and informative, available yet not intrusive. I love this place and can't wait to go back!

Our weekend stay at The Lodgeat Fall Hall Glen surpassed our expectations by far! To be honest, we did not know what to expect, but could not have been more pleased. It is undoubtedly a rustic Lodge as described, so it is basically camping indoors, with no heat, no plumbing. However, we had a fire ring a short distance from the front door, as well as a bathhouse with toilets a short walk away. There is electricity, so we had lights by which to navigate the building at night. But let’s talk about the nature and the historicity of the old lodge and cabins! We were there at the perfect time to soak in autumn in all of its majesty. The trees were at peak colors, the cool nights lent to beautiful arrays of stars, and the sound of the waterfall outside of our windows provided the perfect peaceful, backdrop for relaxation and sleep. There are many choices of beds within the lodge, including several hanging, swinging beds, suspended from the rafters, which we surprisingly enjoyed. There are two screened porches which are lovely to relax on, enjoying the sounds & views..There is a footbridge by which you can cross Robinson Creek as well as stairs up and down each side of the glen. Staying here one feels like they have stepped back in time to the early to mid 20th century when the camp was first established. The current owners are working to restore some of the cabins back to their former glory. The camp is used during the summer as a Wisconsin Christian youth camp. Loved it all!

If you are considering staying here, make sure you do. Old rustic cabins puts you in another time and place. Very relaxing sounds of the creek out the window. Can’t wait to come back and stay again!

Our whispering falls vacation was excellent. Patrick was prompt and helpful; the listing description was accurate. We stayed on the hottest days of the year, but the falls swim cooled us down. My husband hates the heat and even he didn’t complain once. It was fun to explore the grounds and we enjoyed the seclusion.
