What a gorgeous setting up on the hillside. I am so glad I found this Hipcamp because it drew me to an area I wouldn’t have otherwise been. I was so grateful to be amongst so much wildlife and where the hosts chose to put their tent couldn’t have been more perfect. Thanks so very much!

Don’t hesitate!
Excellent trail builds and maintenance! The pump track was a lot of fun to loop as well. Plenty of space for car camping and beautiful view overlooking a ravine from the tent. Can’t wait to return!

Lovely, private spot in the trees
My honey and I loved our three days at En-Gedi! The tent is nice and spacious. We expected to use the deck right outside the door, but ended up using the loungers outside by the fire pit instead. It was a treat to have so much privacy to relax and wander the trails on the property--the solitude of backpacking with the ease of car glamping. Next time we'll bring our bikes!

Great set up! We happened upon a lot of rain during our stay including a severe thunderstorm and tornado warning. The tent stayed 100 percent dry despite sheets of rain and high winds. The beds were comfortable. The hosts were very attentive to our needs. Beautiful spot with mature trees around

We loved our stay at En Gedi! Perfectly secluded in an oasis of trees we enjoyed our walks on the many trails! The field behind the campsite was wonderful for a clear night of beautiful star gazing! Will be back again!

Quiet and comfortable
We absolutely loved En Gedi! Beautiful hillside setting, well set up with chairs, comfortable cots, clean outhouse, and plenty of firewood. This was the perfect mid-road trip quiet getaway for our family. My son especially loved the trails and star gazing.

I loved every thing about our stay. It was my family’s first time camping. We have 2 small children and walking the trails was easy and fun. The tent was beautiful and the fire ring was perfect and safe. We can’t wait to go back.

This camp was fabulous! We got in super late so we didn’t get to stay too long, but the durable tent kept us dry and cozy when we woke up to a monsoon in the morning! Bathroom was super clean and easy to use. Would definitely recommend!

Nice little place and have already referred it to multiple people. Perfectly described and directions were spot on. We arrived after dark and were still able to find our way with our headlamp. Wish we had been able to stay a little longer in the morning to enjoy the amenities but hope to be back!

Beautiful location. There were spiders (who left us alone) but NO MISQUITOS. The site was clean and well prepared. They had even cleaned out the fire pit. The composting toilet was hands-down the cleanest, most pleasant camp toilet experience I've had to date. Loved walking the bike trails through the meadows. We were able to drive our SUV all the way to the site.
Had a great time. We'll likely go back.

Loved it!
Loved it! It is obvious that Jonathan put many hours into making En Gedi what it is… A little oasis in the woods. And the mountain biking was perfect. kudos to Jonathan for making the trails, not an easy task. Glad we had a 4 Wheel Dr. truck to get to the site as other vehicles would not be able to make it. Can’t wait to return!!

Such a wonderful and peaceful spot! Secluded with lovely trails to enjoy the wooded space. The tent was perfect and set with comfy cots. Drinking water was provided and the hosts were very gracious to get more if you run out.

The tent is located in a beautiful off the beaten path spot and is close to River Falls. The tent is definitely an upgrade from camping, with cots and plenty of space inside it to spread out. Really lovely! Great communication with host as well.

Great camping light experience
Perfect “camping light” experience with my two young kids. Tent and fire pit were both spacious. Easy trip from Minneapolis. Host was great with communication! My kids want to come back already!

We'll be back!
What a marvelous stay! Johnathan has put a lot of time into En Gedi, making it a comfortable get away. The tent is beautifully and functionally furnished and quickly felt like a home away from home. Any questions we had could easily be answered by his info binder or reaching out to Johnathan. Johnathan made sure we had drinking water and a charged up USB lantern for our stay and was quick to respond when I reached out to him. He's a great host!
Johnathan's property is beautiful! The hillside forest is a fabulous, colorful piece of nature, and the bike trails clearly have had a lot of time and energy put into them. Johnathan even took the time to blow all the trails clear of leaves! The 4x4 road approach was bumpier than I expected, but careful and tactful driving in our mazda cx5 brought us up without issue.
En Gedi was an experience for the books. We'll be back!

Really loved our time here. It was an easy drive from the cities and easy to find. The host put a lot of care and thought into the setup to make it comfortable (good decor, bug nets available, etc). The view out the tent is spectacular! Very well shaded location which was nice on a hot day. Very private. Would highly recommend.
