Elk Creek Retreat - Creekside
This is a great little spot by the creek! Plenty of room, tucked away enough to feel private, and the small cabin they built on the property is a cool bonus that provides a cozy spot for playing cards or prepping food. Heather was also very understanding when our furnace at home went out the day before our trip and we had to reschedule to another weekend (with no change fees). Would recommend!

What an amazing place it is! The host is very communicative and helpful. I was a bit worried that my van might get stuck on the grass drive way into the camp beause of rain that day but it was no problem. We couldn't believe how beautiful the place was. I got to fish the creek in the morning and caught a little beautiful brown trout! The host was kind enough to let us use the tiny cabin on site so we used it to get away from the rain in the morning. Exceeded my expectations.

Absolutely beautiful spot! Felt secluded and private but was close to town for supplies or food as needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our time relaxing around the fire pit and cooling off in the creek. Falling asleep to the sound of the running water while being able to see the stars was a great way to end the nights. Plenty of space for any tents and activities. We hope to be back!

Elk Creek Retreat - Creekside
We had a great overnight camp at Elk Creek! The site is very picturesque and mossy — We could see trout jumping in the creek. My boys loved the platform swing. There was plenty of firewood left by previous campers, and we added to the pile. The little cabin was perfect for a few rounds of cards by lamplight. Good times!

Such a beautiful property, did quite good fishing! Sleeping with the sound of the creek was superb. Can’t beat a secluded site like this, we will definitely be back!

I had an absolute amazing time at Elk Creek, my boyfriend and I will be back every year for sure maybe more than once a year. Quiet, serene and just a great spot to fish and relax.

This was a great setting for our first camping trip with our Grandkids. Plenty of space to spread out and let the little ones run. The water was cold, but we enjoyed playing in the creek. It was refreshing. It's a beautiful property. I loved all the birds! We saw a couple of deer, too.
The little cabin was a nice bonus when it rained. Bring bug spray (it is summertime by the water).

What a beautiful place! The gurgling creek, the big mossy trees and all the thoughtful additions. I will definitely be coming back. Plenty of room for a few car camping sets up. When it rained, we used the cabin and porch to shelter, read books and enjoy a meal. The creek is lovely to plant a chair and cool off. Very responsive host.

We loved our stay! What a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of life. Beautiful scenery with a babbling stream and song birds galore. We will be back!!

This campsite was the perfect weekend getaway! We loved the rocks around the campfire and the cabin gave us peace of mind in case of rain (speaking of which, we did weather out a thunderstorm in our tent and the outhouse stayed completely dry which was fantastic for a 4am wee). It was a lively campsite at times and we were able to hear neighborhood chickens and dogs and campers down the stream. The creek was a highlight and some fisherman wading down caught brown trout in front of us!
Overall beautiful space and wonderful time.

We loved camping in this private out of the way site. It felt close to civilization, but also remote enough to feel positively isolated. We went from anxious and stressed to happy and calm at this Hipcamp. Bird watching was great. I saw birds I never imagined were really out there. A good place for trout, to be sure.

Truly a beautiful and secluded little site with such charm and an equally wonderful host to communicate with. The moment you arrive you can tell the site is well loved and cared for. The ambiance was peaceful and relaxing hearing the sound of the creek. A truly wonderful little escape from the world. Would highly recommend as we intend of returning!

We had an awesome night on the property. It was so quiet and the fire pit (with wood) was a great addition. If you’re a trout fisher, the river was active with brown trout right next to camp. Overall, a great trip and would stay again. Thanks! JTLMVP
