Camping site
So serene!
Driftless Dane Farm is one of the most serene, stunning settings we've had the privilege of staying at. June, the host, was so helpful and kind! She walked us through the property and the various campsite options we had (there are quite a few, and when there are few guests you get to pick your spot!). She also let us know about the apple/fruit and flower picking on site, which in itself makes the stay so worth it! She has an apple press to make homemade cider! Not to mention she graciously gifted us with some DELICIOUS Wisconsin cheese, homemade jam, and a local eatery guide. The rolling hills go on and on and you can spend all day walking through the colorful (especially in the fall) trees, down by the stream, and along the grassy knoll. Each site has its own toilet with cleanliness products. The sites also have a fire pit and firewood that is provided- if you run out of firewood, she allows you to go back for more! Our daughter had so much room to run around and play. She actually had a better time roaming the property, making smores, and watching the stars at the campsite than she did doing touristy things in the Wisconsin Dells, which is only a 15-20 min drive away. And although there is plenty of nature at the campsite, there are also some amazing areas nearby like the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and Devil's Lake. If you have the opportunity to do so, I 1,000% recommend staying here! June also informed us of big plans she has for the future like clearing a rain shelter
