Our family purchased this land for adventure. We would love to share our adventure with you. We offer a cabin that you can drive to and it is totally private on 140 acres. Watch the wildlife from the porch while enjoying a camp fire. We also have a campsite on the Bad Axe River that you can hike in, (less than 1 mile) and pitch a tent. There is a table and chairs and fire ring, wood available for a small fee. If you need UTV assist to get to the sight, for a small fee that can be arranged as well. We also have a 'glampsite' which already has a tent with a queen air bed and all bedding included. A outdoor kitchen contains everything you need to lessen your packing for a total relaxed and spoiled camping experience. The glampsite is directly on the river also. There is a picnic area with table and swing set for the kids! Pets are welcome! We do ask for a $20 pet fee as there is extra cleaning involved Watch the stars at night and catch trout in the river by day! Heavin in the Driftless.

Brye Cabin-The Driftless Reason
We lived being surrounded ded by tall corn. Our pulse had a great time running free. The creek was nice. We wish we would have had time to fish.

Bad Axe Tent Camping
Bad Axe Tent Camping was amazing! Cory and Lynn are very easy to communicate with, answering any questions we had as well as organizing the UTV assist for our arrival and departure. The land is beautiful, peaceful and just what we needed for some R&R. Very secluded, lush area, the UTV assist is extremely helpful, bit of a rugged trek if you have a lot of gear. Will definitely go back and plan to fish in the Bad Axe that is right out our tent door!

Brye Cabin-The Driftless Reason
10/10 cabin experience
My college friends and I had the best time at the Brye cabin! The vineyard is only a 10/15 minute walk and the wine was delicious with such beautiful scenery. We hiked around the property which was really nice, the only downfall is that sometimes the trails weren’t well marked- we found ourselves in some thorny areas at times. The river was so beautiful and Lynn even brought us to the swimming hole near the glamping site!! The cabin was so well stocked with really everything we needed and more. We all agreed that the outdoor shower experience itself was a 10/10- we hope to come back again soon!

Bad Axe Tent Camping
Trout fishing, gorgeous setting
We thoroughly enjoyed camping right on the Bad Axe river. Trout fishing at your fingertips, secluded nature setting, and ample space to set up camp. Lynn was a great host and provided a very helpful UTV ride in and out of camp - a lifesaver for hauling our gear (without gear it is a do-able hike). We liked the proximity to downtown Viroqua while still being nestled into the wooded valley tucked into farmland. Helpful table with umbrella, chairs, firepit, water, kitchen counter setup with washbasin, sealed garbage bin, etc. Beyond the trout we enjoyed seeing deer, beaver, bald eagles, kingfishers, monarchs, hummingbirds, and more.

Bad Axe Tent Glamping
Amazing weekend at an amazing site
Absolutely amazing glampsite! Right by the river so you could listen to it at night as you are drifting off to sleep. The canvas tent is so great, and keeps you warm and dry in the rain. The gazebo on the platform in front of the tent was so great to have. We had a ton of rain on our trip, and it kept us dry without having to take cover in the tent (kid and dogs weren’t crazy about the rain). The card games in the tent came in very handy as well when it was raining. The camp kitchen has everything you could need. The propane griddle was perfect for making pancakes in the morning and the 2 burner stove was great for bacon and eggs. We had a lot of trouble getting a fire going in the fire pit, but I blame that on all the wet weather. We used the portable fire pit instead, and had a roaring fire in no time. It was also so convenient to have the huge woodpile there to utilize. Nice little swimming hole just a short walk from camp. We had fun floating in the water between rain storms, even if the water was cold. The dogs loved swimming in the river, and are still worn out from all the fun they had this weekend. Lynn was amazing and met us at the parking area to haul our gear down in the UTV. We walked in with the dogs, and it was about a mile walk. The walk back definitely took longer, but that was just because of us slipping and sliding on the mud. Did I mention it rained? It rained a lot! Definitely in my list of places to visit again. Thank you!!

Brye Cabin-The Driftless Reason
Even better than we'd hoped!
Peaceful, private, lots of trails to explore. The cabin had everything we needed and the surrounding land was ideal for my kid and her cousins to roam. Loved that the dog could go off leash everywhere (though be sure to ask whether the raccoon traps have been emptied that morning as usual--my city dog was far too curious about the trapped raccoon that we encountered on one of the trails! But Cory and Lynn were very responsive and immediately took care of it.) All in all, a gem of a spot. We hope to come back soon.
