Wow, so beautiful! I was most impressed by the complete silence of noise of people at night. the only thing you could hear was the sound of nature. The fire pit is located on a small hill right next to the lake and is an astounding view. Owners are super nice and responsive.

This was a sizable spot of wonderful my son and I enjoyed for a few days. I could have stayed much longer. We woke up to beautiful sunrises on the lake from our tent, the call of loons, and really enjoyed the paddle boat. It was hot but the shady spots are plenty and I didn’t really notice the heat even being 7 months pregnant (which says something lol). Yes there are neighboring properties, but it doesn’t take away from the seclusion or peaceful qualities. We will definitely be back!

Very nice/quiet lake area. Neighbors are a lot closer than expected, so I wouldn’t book if you want privacy. The outhouse and shed were nice. The lake was shallow off the dock so it’s perfect for kids or just floating in a floaty. We did take the row boat out for some fishing and got a little lucky. This place is perfect if you’re looking for a quick getaway for the weekend, especially for a small family.

Brenda was super nice and let us know all the things we needed to know before our stay. She was so kind and welcoming. The land was gorgeous and facilities were clean. Loved the fire pit area and beautiful trees. Amazing access to water and electric. All the things needed to go out in the boat were included. We definitely would like to reserve again!

Unbeatable view of the lake and nice space to camp. Neighbors closer than expected, but friendly. Lake was nice to float in and the dogs had a nice swim too. There was a rowboat, but bringing kayaks or floats is a good idea too.

Unfortunately there was a bobcat running everyday...starting at 630am. No peace or quiet period. The boat was half full of water and a pain to use and the kids sustained over 15 hornet stings combined as there was a hornets nest on the steps to the water. I would of really appreciated being notified if the construction next door and being given the opportunity to reschedule when i could of at least slept in and relaxed.

I was a little disappointed. We drove 3 hours with the kids for our yearly vacation. We arrived and found out the hard way there was a ground hornets nest on the stairs.... our 9 yr old was stung over 10 times. Our 12 yr old was stung as well. There was also a bobcat running up and down digging right next to where we had to park our camper. There was 0 quiet and relaxation. I understand somethings are out of your control, however, I would of appreciated knowing before we drove all the way there that the construction was happening. We really had looked forward to sleeping in and relaxing...but were woken up every morning at 6:30 by workers and the machinery. We paid over $300 for this spot and definitely would of appreciated knowing what was going on ..and possobly been given an opportunity to reschedule when we could of at least enjoyed the peace and serenity of nature.

This site and lake was absolutely gorgeous, we had the perfect weather this weekend and got to enjoy the little paddle boat. So nice to have the outhouse, little shed, electric, and water! We were in tents and the space was great! We and our dogs enjoyed every moment of this site off the lake. Having the dock was a huge plus!

We had a fantastic time at Bob’s lake West! The property is well cared for and the lay out is perfect. Nice quiet lake for paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming!
We would return in a heartbeat!

Summer fun with friends and dogs!

This was an excellent site and we had a great time there this past weekend with 6 adults and 2 dogs in 2 campers and a tent. There were plenty of shady spots to move chairs to as the sun moved throughout the day, and the fire pit location was close to the lake for beautiful sunrise and sunset views. There is a house just to the south of the site that sells very good firewood for $5 a bundle (and great maple syrup and soaps!).
The lake is just large enough to be interesting, and we were able to get close to the resident loons in kayaks a couple of days in a row.
For those considering booking, be advised that the steps down to the lake are very steep, so for mobility challenged folks, you may want to drive to the public boat landing just across the way for easier water access even for kayaks and canoes. However, we had some strong folks who happily schlepped kayaks up and down for us.
The potable water access is easy, and the honey bucket is serviceable (bring your own hand sanitizer).
There is a cabin fairly close to the site to the north, but we had a camper parked in the circle drive on the cabin side with door facing south and another one parked on the other side of the circle with door facing north and it didn’t seem like we disturbed the folks in the cabin too much nor did they disturb us.
This was a great experience and we plan to visit again!
