Fantastic place to stay all round, great for the dogs and 100's of meters between sites and heaps of shade.
Dawn And Mick are super friendly and go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one.

Valley Vista
Lovely place to camp, nice and clean area. We camped on the valley vista, we had the whole place to our selfs, very beautiful view. Nice and clear skys at night time, a lot of stars out. Very good for us amateur star gazers. Will definitely coming back.

We had regular contact over the app and we were comfortable staying at their property. The campsite was well signposted and easy to find and there was LOADS of room for us to set up wherever we liked.

Valley Vista
We love coming to Amber Ridge! This time we chose Valley View as our site and it didnt disappoint at all. Lovely vista over the paddocks and even better...the magical forest that borders the site. Perfectly private and spacious. Wonderful space for our dog too. Short drive to Donnybrook or Capel for supplies or a meal. And Forrest Beach for a dip in the ocean.

For $68 a night I would expect green grass to camp on at the very least, not dry grass in a paddock next to a dry creek and bush and sheep shit everywhere. Worth $20 a night no more.

We really enjoyed our stay at Redgum Hill. We were there for 4 nights. The camp sites are very spread out so we had our privacy. We loved that Dogs are allowed to be off leash in the camp site.

Dawn is a very friendly and warm-hearted host. Creek Junction is a beautiful spot with morning sun and plenty of places to sit in the shade of the trees. The fresh eggs from Dawn’s chickens were delicious. The information folder included useful details about the surrounding area and helpful tips about Amber Ridge Estate, and the option to donate empty 10‑cent containers to the local fire brigade is a wonderful idea. The neighbouring sheep belonging to Dawn and Mick, as well as the many birds — especially the black cockatoos — are truly delightful. We look forward to returning someday with our campervan.

Gorgeous spot to stay. Large very private site.
We could not see any other campers from our site ( even though it was fully booked).
Very special to see so many birds in the morning.

We really enjoyed our stay at this camp - it just may have gone to the top of our favourites list ! It is just so peaceful and relaxing, listening to the cicadas and birds, with the occasional sheep. Beautiful spot we had near the creek bed, next to the trees. Great spot for our dog as well. Was private and perfect for us. Mick is very friendly and warm, and also provided a great folder (returnable) with all the local attractions around the area. Brilliant. Short drive to Capel and Donnybrook, and a nice drive to Forrest Beach for some saltwater therapy. Definitely recommend a stay at Amber Ridge. We will be back for sure!

What a magic property - surrounded by State Forrest and only 15 minutes away from Donnybrook which has everything you’d need or forgotten to bring. We look for privacy for our Hipcamp getaways and this camp delivered. Our Border Collie ran off lead all weekend. Woke up to the sound of birds and a beautiful view. We definitely will be back - next time with our Mtn. bikes to explore the many tracks around Thank you Dawn allowing us to stay at your oasis in the bush.

My wife and I loved our weekend at the Amber Ridge Estate, staying at the Valley Vista ground. Was very secluded, private, quiet, and relaxing. Nestled a the top of the grounds, at the back, we didn't see anyone all weekend once we went through the gate. Could birdwatch, listen to the kangaroos in the state forest, and play with our dog in the field. Weather was wet, windy, sunny - all 4 seasons in one day, but that is Donnybrook and the south-west. Mick greeted us as we entered and gave us a folder of things to do in the area, which was very much appreciated.
Great little spot to get away for some off grid.

The view, the space, the peace and the sounds of nature. Our pup was in heaven as were we. Have met both hosts after our second trip and they are a very nice approachable couple. The vista makes for beautiful breakfast scenery.

Our whole group adored staying at the Shed Pad - it was such a cozy and convenient set up with both Mick and Dawn making us feel very welcomed. Will definitely be stopping through again!

Very spacious farm with great fire facilities and close to Donnybrook. Warning: if it’s been raining too much you may not be able to get into your designated campsite 4wd or not, as the ground is soft and muddy after a downpour and getting bogged isn’t on anyone’s holiday itinerary.

What an amazing hidden gem!! Almost wanted to say it was terrible so others wouldn’t book.. we were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves, secluded with beautiful views and BEST of all our dogs could run free… thank you so very much for sharing your slice of heaven with us… we can’t wait to come back 😘

I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay at Hidden Corner! Mick was friendly and came out to greet us on arrival. Our site was certainly private, with plenty of room to stretch out, explore, play and be one with nature. My pooch rejoiced at his off-leash freedom. 🐾🐾

We had a wonderful stay at the Creek Junction site! We were three families and the site was spacious enough for all of us. The kids absolutely loved playing and running around the wide open space. It felt safe, peaceful, and private—even with the house nearby. We had a great time around the bonfire, playing guitar and singing under the stars. It was a beautiful experience, and we only wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll definitely be back and bring more friends next time. Thank you Dawn and Mick for sharing this amazing spot with us!

Beautiful serene location. So good we could take our Shepherd there and know the area was fenced, we had the entire paddock to ourselves.

Hidden Corner
We had a wonderful two night stay at Hidden Corner site at Amber Ridge Estate out of Donnybrook. We can’t speak highly enough of the experience. The layout of the campsites are such that the feeling of seclusion is guaranteed. The site was flat for our Offroad van with a fire pit and bag of timber waiting. The site backs onto the State Forrest. Our dog was able to be off lead and enjoyed the time too. Communications with Mick and Dawn were excellent prior to arriving and we were met by Dawn on arrival and directed to to site. A first class Hip Camp location, close to Perth for a stress free weekend.

Creek Junction
We stayed for a long weekend at the Creek Junction campsite and will definitely stay again. The site was secluded and plenty of flat grassy areas to setup our large tent. The location is about 10 minutes from Donnybrook and a beautiful drive through green rolling hills. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond, driving out to our site several times to keep us updated on a nearby burn off that was temporarily out of control. Overall a fantastic location, great site and wonderful hosts. Would highly recommend.

Great stop for a few days. Easy booking and arrival. Valley View was nice and private with easy access to the state forest if you're keen for a walk.
Weather was perfect and reckon we picked the best time of year. (Mid May) No flies, no mozzies. Warm during the day and cold at night. Ground was perfect for tent and swag camping and enough level space if you're towing or in a rooftop.
Would be a fantastic camp ground for a relatively decent sized group! Already considering that ourselves. Just please leave this already perfect camp how you found it.
