Site 1 - Tent Camping at Bison Farm
This was our second time staying at the farm, and it could not be better. The site was well cared for with no evidence of previous guests. We were able to set up my micro camper and a hammock without difficulty. The host came by and wished us well. Overall, an excellent experience

A one of a kind memorable experience to witness....his herd of bison being moved from one pasture to the nearby one! A stampede but much safer than Yellowstone! He even delivered to our campsite his home made bison sloppy joe and it was INCREDIBLE!

Seeing buffalo was the highlight!
Directions were clear to farm. The driveway/road is steep, but well maintained. I did shift into 4wd going both up and down.
The site was clean and had a fire ring and hammock, there was firewood close by.
I was in an out of the site in order to attend an event, so I did not get to take advantage of the farm store.
Overall, recommended!

It was very nice. Very welcoming and helpful. Took my son and I to see the bison, and also for a ride around the mountain. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. My son had a blast!

The Riffle farm is a great experience in an even better location. The sites are spread out well, looking out over the bison herd. Located at the top of a hill, this camp site offers incredible views of the stars given the low light pollution in the area. The Cheat River 12 minutes down the road offers great paddling and fishing (we caught a couple browns). Stop by the farm store and pick up a few hanger steaks to cook on the well maintained fire-ring and grill. Our 24-foot camper fit easily and the site could’ve handled another ten feet on that camper with ease. We had a blast. I’ll be back for sure.

Bison watching, furry welcoming committee, nature walks, siesta on the hammock, awesome hosts and delicious take home bison meat made our first tenting camping experience an incredible one! We definitely see ourselves returning!

This was perfect for our needs. The bison were very cool to see. The campsite area was away from any roads and nicely secluded. They even opened up the farm store for us after hours for purchasing meat. The farm dogs were super nice! And the host communicated very well.
If there were more campers it would have felt crowded. There's 5 sites but they're not spread out much. While we were there there was only 1 other site taken and that was on labor day weekend so this might not be an issue normally.
The port a john was pretty far from the camp site area. And if you're tent camping the sites are pretty rocky so be sure to bring a mattress or pad, which we did. Now this last comment is completely on us lol... don't go expecting to grill bison meat right away. It's frozen (of course) but we didn't think of that. So I ended up running to town to get some ground beef for grilling.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site to other campers.

Do yourself a favor and come camp here! We didn't get to visit the farm store since we just had a short stay, but I would love to come back sometime and get to check it out. The property was so cool and the tent site was spacious and well kept. My daughter said the port a potty was the nicest one she has ever been in and I agreed! I couldn't find a thing to complain about if I tried. The driveway is no joke, definitely only meant for AWD or 4WD as the host says.

Best camping experience I've ever had. Host and staff are excellent at responding and being attentive to the visitors. They truly made this a unique and wonderful experience. Views are gorgeous. I love how secluded and quiet it is here.

What a cool place! I arrived after dark so it was extra special waking up in the morning and seeing the farm. The directions and GPS were easy to follow even in the dark. There are a few different sites and all would be great options. 1&2 are closest to the pastures currently and 3,4,&5 are set back in the woods a little more. 3,4,&5 are also close together making them great options for group camping. Seeing the bison was so cool and there are a few different options for trails around the property.

I had a lovely time camping at Riffle Farms last week! It was amazing to crest the hill and see all the bison grazing in the pasture right across from my campsite. The hosts were gracious and welcoming and even opened the farm store so I could purchase some ground bison for supper. Had a delicious bison burger cooked over the fire. Plenty of free firewood, too. All in all, a great stay, thank you!

Always a treat to spend time at Riffle Farms! This was our second year camping for the Bison Roast Event and we loved it just a much as last year! Everyone on the farm is so welcoming. We had plenty of wood to stay warm on the cold nights and lots of room to set up and make the camping experience cozy! We will be back next year for the bison roast :)

I loved camping at the bison farm! It was a great atmosphere to walk around in, the campsites were great and stocked with firewood. It was especially special to be able to wake up and see the Bison grazing in the fields. Liz and her family are so friendly and accommodating, I'd definitely recommend staying here!

Liz is super friendly and accommodating. We camped for two nights at one of the sites and really enjoyed watching the buffalo roam! The property even had a short hiking trail. Close to the farm is a local West Virginia brewery for all your camping needs! :) We will be back!

Had the best experience at Riffle Farms!! A friend and I camped there for the weekend and we were not disappointed. Campsites are equipped with a firepit, picnic bench, and hammock. Our host Jeremy was an great tour guide and resource for all of our questions about bison farming and local hikes/hotspots. He also has 3 adorable farm dogs who hung out with us the whole time. We bought ground bison from the farm store which was delicious!! We will most definitely be back and would recommend Riffle Farms to absolutely anyone!!
