Looking for a one-of-a-kind off-grid adventure? The Greenbrier Goat Trail Shelter is your gateway to nature, located right on the serene Greenbrier River Trail at MM 22.5. Whether you're hiking, biking, or exploring with friends, our pack-goat-powered base camp offers an unforgettable blend of tranquility, adventure, and comfort. Features: Cooking Options Cook like a pro with a 2-burner Coleman propane stove, complete with a cast iron cookware set and utensils for up to 5 guests. Feeling adventurous? Use the Firebox Stove, complete with dry tinder and specialty wood provided by our pack-goating friends in Idaho. Sleeping Arrangements Stay cozy with: (2) Big Agnes Air-Core sleeping pads with zero-breath inflators. (2) low-profile camp cots. (2) naturally tanned sheepskins for extra warmth. Prefer sleeping under the stars? Ample trees are available for hammocks or tent camping. ADA Accessibility Fully accessible ADA-compliant bathroom with an outdoor wash basin. 5 gallons of fresh water provided for cooking and drinking. We strive to make nature inclusive for all guests. Wildlife and Scenery Relax on our "stadium seating" with breathtaking views of towering rock cliffs and the Greenbrier River. Observe native wildlife like eagles, owls, and geese in their natural habitat. Access Instructions Arrive by walking or biking the Greenbrier River Trail: From Spring Creek Station Trailhead: 1.38 miles, ~30-minute walk north. From Renick Trailhead: 2.12 miles, ~45-minute walk south. Biking? Cut your travel time in half! Additional Notes Weather Preparation West Virginia weather can change quickly! Relive 'BACON DAYS' glory and meet the first pack goats in West Virginia for a cowboy breakfast at The Greenbrier Goat. Geared for groups of cyclists, we offer a well timed and convenient on-trail stop at MM 22.5 just off the Greenbrier River Trail. Our deluxe 'Cowboy Breakfast' is more than a meal, it's an experience that fuels you up, lifts your spirits and helps you pedal further in any direction. Book a day and schedule an approximate time. Arrive hungry and ready to eat breakfast or brunch featuring our valley's finest foods. Our pack goats work hard to carry in the food and gear, so you can travel light, focus on you, connect with nature. Breakfast starts with locally roasted black coffee or fresh pressed cider. Then, treat yourself to a few slices of Swift Level's finest gourmet bacon and a peppered farm fresh egg served over a blackened jalapeno bagel with butter. Yum! In our camp you'll find shelter and a quiet moment to recharge after you have enjoyed really good food. The chances here are unusually high to spot eagles, hawks and waterfowl attracted to the rock cliffs of our special and remote spot. Have another slice of bacon and meet our pack goats!
