Enjoy one of our four large, beautiful sites with friends or family. The South, North and Rocks sites offer great privacy and seclusion. The Bridge site offers unique charm and close proximity to river, creek and bridge, and has the best WiFI access. Plenty of greenery between sites. You should mostly only see neighbors when going to bathhouse. On our property you will find, four large camp sites, Stoney Creek Country Store on the river, Pavillion next to the store, Cacapon River Outfitters behind the store, smallground campground next to pavillion, giant swing, bathhouse closest to riverside/campground, and a few (5) other trailers (mobile homes) further behind the store/bathhouse. The dead-end road that goes through our property leads to another riverside community that is sparsely developed. Kayak, boat or tube (we offer Tubing and Canoes). Fish or watch wildlife. (Fishing licenses available on DNR site for cheap) Nearby attractions if the river is not enough: * C&O Bike Trail, 185mi long from Washington DC to Cumberland MD (~9 miles) * Paw Paw Tunnel, part of C&O park (~9 miles) * Potomac River (~9miles allows gas powered boats) * GreenRidge Forest 47,560 acres (~10 miles, hiking trails and sightseeing) * Sideling Hill Wildlife Management area, 2,507 acres (2 miles) * Eidolon Nature Preserve (~12 miles) * Windmyer Hunting area, 422 acres, along route 9 (14 miles) * Berkeley Springs Spas, Pool, Park and Mineral Waters * Towns of Berkeley Springs, Hancock, Flintstone, Cumberland and Winchester within 40min drive * Cacapon State Park, 6,115 acres.. Hiking and Biking trails.. (~18miles) Day trips Swallow Falls (1h 40m drive) Deep Creek Lake area (90m drive) Black Water Falls (2h drive)

Almost Heaven Riverfront North

(126)
RV/tent site · Sleeps 40 · Vehicles under 34 ft
Other sites typically have higher availability: Almost Heaven Riverfront Rocks, Almost Heaven Riverfront South, Almost Heaven Riverfront Bridge * it doesn't get much better than this for group campers.. Riverfront, incredible views, seclusion, privacy, easy river access, balance of shade and sun, PRIVATE hot shower and flush toilet, tons of parking, store within a walk.. * spacious secluded waterfront site suitable for larger groups on the Cacapon River surrounded by woody areas on 3 sides and mountain on the other side of the river. Groups up to 40 people have stayed on site so far. Camping area is about 125x60 feet, plus more away from water depending on how many cars you bring, with space for overflow cars within a walk. Site is a great value for larger groups. * deep and shallow spots for fishing and kayaking (this downstream site has wider river and calmer waters)  * this site is great for multi-family groups with kids, the waterline is mostly calm and shallow by the shore,  you can easily see your kids due to low shorelines, and you can also walk to the bridge 1/8 of a mile and "tube" through the rapids back to the site. Fun that can last for hours. * put in upstream for trips ranging from 1h to whole day and camp along the river * Stoney Creek Country store and playground is within walking distance along community road for your basic needs plus pizza, milkshakes, subs, ice creams.. and home of the "best cheese steak you ever had" * Overall, on our property you will find: Stoney Creek Country Store at the entrance, pavilion next to the store, Cacapon River Outfitters behind the store, small playground, giant swing, bathhouse closest to riverside/campground, four large multi-family/group sites along the river and a few (5) other trailers (mobile homes) further behind the store/bathhouse, one-two porta-potties depending on season. The dead-end road that goes through our property leads to another riverside community that is sparsely developed. The community put up a bunch of no trespassing signs and "end of trail" signs to keep the curious out. * you can burn any driftwood you find (plenty!), but no cutting of trees/vegetation allowed * this site is suitable for RV/dry camping, you'll need to get a little creative with finding a level spot, and be relatively good (but not an ace) with your trailer/RV. * Please review Stoney Creek Campground Page for available nearby attractions. * "Private" to site bathrooms. You will be issued a pin code. Two rolls of TP and a roll of paper towels will be provided. The bathroom/shower will be cleaned prior to your arrival. Your group will be responsible for keeping the bathroom/shower stocked for your needs, and as clean and disinfected as you're comfortable for the duration of your stay. The port-a-potty by the store will be a backup option. All long weekends will require 3 night stay (Memorial, Independence, Labor) and have a price premium.  If you'd like to come in earlier than check-in time, you can check with us if we can accommodate, but the best way to reserve that morning is to book additional night. River Conditions: Google: "national weather gcpw2" for current and forecast river conditions. The river will likely become dangerous to enjoy past 5ft at Cacapon gauge.  "Good" (safe) range is 1.5-4.5ft. Actual river depth varies. * We will allow all campers (and campers only!) to tube down from the bridge river access across those rapids and exit and the designated downstream portion of the North site between hours of 9am and 6pm.

* it doesn't get much better than this for group campers.. Riverfront, incredible views, seclusion, privacy, easy river access, balance of shade and sun, private bath, hot showers,  tons of parking, store within a walk.. * very large secluded waterfront site suitable for larger groups on the Cacapon River surrounded by woody areas on 3 sides and mountain on the other side of the river. Great value for larger groups, up to 10 people are included in base price. * deep and shallow spots for fishing and kayaking (upsteram site is more shallow, but it's deep by the bridge) * put in upstream for trips ranging from 1h to whole day and camp along the river * this site is great for multi-family groups with kids, the waterline is mostly calm and shallow by the shore,  you can easily see your kids due to low shorelines, and you can also walk to the bridge 1/8 of a mile and "tube" through the rapids down to North site between hours of 9am and 6pm * Stoney Creek Country store within walking distance for your basic needs plus pizza, milkshakes, subs, ice creams.. and home of the "best cheese steak you ever had" * Overall, on our property you will find: Stoney Creek Country Store at the entrance, pavilion next to the store, Cacapon River Outfitters behind the store, small playground, giant swing, bathhouse closest to riverside/campground, four large multi-family/group sites along the river and a few (5) other trailers (mobile homes) further behind the store/bathhouse, one-two porta-potties depending on season. Most of the noise you'd be hearing would be river rushing through the stones. * this site has better WiFi reception and is closer to the bathhouse/store. * If you're bringing an RV/camper, in order to stay on hard surface, you'll be 80+ feet away from the river. The trees will keep your camper private and in the shade. The site can fit up to 3 if you don't leave tow vehicle attached. * Please review Stoney Creek Campground parent page for nearby attractions. * it doesn't get much better than this for group campers.. Riverfront, easy river access, incredible views, private bath/hot shower, balance of shade and sun, store within a walk.. This Bridge site has a great view of the bridge and river bend. It's the least flood prone site, due to higher elevation, but it's most prone to flood damage as it gets overrun by both river the the creek every year. Site also borders Stoney Creek, which means you'll be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the creek AND the river This site is less secluded than our North, Rock and South sites, as it will border river access for kayakers, and within view of our community (dead-end) road and community of a few mobile homes (including the bathhouse) behind it. You may also likely hear an occasional car or bike cross the bridge, but traffic dies down pretty close to nothing after dark. We did build an earth berm, and enclosed it with tree trunks to shore site borders, and to allow you to place tents along for additional privacy. It does have a view of the field that is towards the store, and that has the playground, which might be good if you have kids you want to see at the playground. * deep and shallow spots for fishing and kayaking * put in upstream for trips ranging from 1h to whole day and camp along the river or tube down to North site through the rapids between hours of 9am and 6pm * Stoney Creek Country store and playground is within walking distance along community road for your basic needs plus pizza, milkshakes, subs, ice creams.. and home of the "best cheese steak you ever had" * Overall, on our property you will find, four large camp sites, Stoney Creek Country Store on the river, Pavilion next to the store, Cacapon River Outfitters behind the store, small playground, giant swing, bathhouse closest to riverside/campground, and a few (5) other trailers (mobile homes) further behind the store/bathhouse. Your group will be responsible for keeping the bathroom/shower stocked for your needs, and as clean and disinfected as you're comfortable for the duration of your stay. Currently it's probably not the best site for RVs or campers, as driveway ends about 100ft from the water. The site is entirely in front or rapids. That means that the river is shallow. It's good for kids exploring, but you'd have to go upstream to the bridge for a swim hole, which isn't that much different from the South site. It also means you'll be close to pacifying river/rapids sounds, which many campers seem to enjoy.
