Ray’s camp was the most magical and charming campground I’ve ever been to. The staff were very kind and helpful. The facilities were all clean. Best of all, they made us coffee and empanadas! Would highly recommend camping here!

Nice campground. Kat and Jake offered gracious hospitality. Nice variety of sites and great amenities - especially the hot showers with good pressure.

Loved the A-Frame! It was so cozy. The location is amazing! Very secluded... surrounded by forest & right near a pond. Made a fire in the fire pit, watched fireflies & fell asleep to the sounds of peepers. Almost heaven!

Host came out and greeted us as we pulled in . Very friendly. Our vehicle had problems upon arrival and he was very helpful in troubleshooting. The campground had a clean bath house with hot showers , a washer/dryer, potable water, electric at the site, community kitchen. Dogs allowed. There were I believe 8 RV sites and lots of tent sites. it was very quiet..

Gosh, what a great place. Lots of variety as far as campsites, options for if you’re feeling more social, or more secluded. This trip, we stuck to the secluded side and had a lovely little campsite (10) way in the back. Our dog could just be happy and off leash back there without a bunch of distractions. The amenities are top tier for a campground. Clean showers, toilets and even coffee in the mornings. They even have a little cabin with charging stations, movies and other entertaining things if you want to use any of that. They have a community sink, potable water, and even laundry !! Honestly, one of the most accommodating campgrounds I have ever been to. The on site hosts were great, Ray was great with communication. Overall, 10/10 experience. We had the best time camping here and exploring the park and we will absolutely be back, and when we do, best believe we will be staying here. Thanks for everything ☺️

Rays campground is great! Amazing communal areas and super friendly staff. They were more than accommodating when we had questions. The sites you can reserve are nice and private and the bathrooms are nice and clean. Only thing I would be aware of is if you’re booking campsite 10 our car (volks wagon Tiguan) could barley make it up the gravel. All the other sites are fine though! We really enjoyed our stay!

Conveniently located near New River Gorge National Park and Fayetteville, Ray’s is a great stopping point. The campground was easy to find, and the campground map made it easy to find out site after hours. Facilities like the showers and bathrooms were basic - nothing fancy, just good to have on a multi-day trip. There’s also a nice common area for campers, though we didn’t use it. I’d stay here again.

such a cool shared campground/atmosphere and the cabin was warm and had electricity! close walk to the bathhouse as well. added plus was there was firewood for sale at the office! looking forward to staying here again soon, hopefully for longer than one night!

The hosts were extremely personable and great greeters. They made sure we had everything that was needed including a cup of free coffee on Saturday morning. The facilities were extremely clean and the sites were extremely nice. Number is nine and 10 for camping are a little more excluded than the first eight sites.

Great campground! Lots of spots to set up and reserved spots are great. Spot 9 was more secluded than the others, which made for a nice private area to pitch the tent. Will definitely be coming back

Ray’s is setup good. If you want a more private site go to 9 or 10 but further from BR and sink. Main sites all clustered close together but it’s a very communal feel in the center of the camp. Can’t speak to the cabins but they looked cool and all were full when we were there. Hot water, bathrooms, wood, cheap ice, etc… all on site. There’s a reason it’s packed on weekends. To that end, on a busy weekend expect to wait for a shower at prime times. Enjoy!!!

This was a great little campground! Easy to find, easy back in spot and was a bonus to have have bathrooms and showers. Host was very friendly and loved the community atmosphere. Other than a few loose dogs (that did not come in to our campsite), it was perfect for what we needed.

Really lovely spot with hostel like amenities and vibe. I appreciated the full kitchen and that firewood and ice were readily available. Spacious bathroom. And the price! Wow! Free coffee on the porch in the mornings! I was at campsite 1 which is closest to RVs and bathroom. If you want to be further away from folks, choose a number closer to 10.

The campsite itself was great, but we were very close to a group of campers who played loud music and were yelling until about 1 in the morning. There was no camp host that we were aware of (called the number of the door at about 7pm, which led to an automated message) to check us in or observe quiet hours.
