Ross and Alison are incredibly kind, the yurt was perfect for our weekend trip, and the property is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend others to check out the area and spend time in Berkeley springs.

It’s a perfect yurt surrounded by mountains. We love the streams flowing from up the mountains making it calm & relaxing. Also, it’s raining when we stayed & it’s so nice hearing the rain & streams both days and nights. During the stay, we walked around the property inhaling the fresh air after the rain. It’s so good! Ross is so nice showing us the place & very well prepared with clear information about everything. We would definitely go back!

We had a peaceful, restorative stay at the beautifully furnished yurt at Ross and Alison's. We went at the end of December so temps were 30 deg overnight and around 45 during the day, but the heater kept the yurt nice and warm even overnight; the coolest it got was about 66deg on the far side of the tent in the early morning. The bed was very comfortable, toasty warm as well. I heard woodpeckers and saw other birds, and the porch overlooks the stream with great visibility for bird watching in the winter. The porch is also a great place to stargaze at night (and even inside the yurt, through the clear central dome!). They have put a lot of thought and care into the details and are very gracious hosts, I highly recommend giving the yurt a try!

Our trip to the yurt on Ross and Alison's property was magical! The yurt itself is so cozy and well done. Plenty of lights, all the essentials, a comfy bed, and beautiful finishes - what more could you ask for? The temperature dropped unexpectedly overnight during our stay and even with frost outside the windows, the HVAC in the yurt kept us warm and toasty. We were perfectly comfortable and prepared, but I would definitely recommend checking the temperature and packing accordingly for your stay as, without the HVAC going at full blast for a while, the yurt is the same temperature as outside. The cozy stay was made even better with the beauty and stillness of the surrounding property. My boyfriend and I enjoyed walking, hiking, and just being in nature. We didn't end up building a fire and making s'mores as we planned but there are two cute fire pits we wish we made use of. The hosts were kind, informative, and responsive. I definitely recommend this as a romantic weekend stay and we can't wait to come back !

I had an amazing experience here. Very relaxing and creatively inspiring. The entire property is just beautiful - especially in Fall colors. The yurt 🛖 is a comfortable, clean, and inviting space. The bathroom and shower are kept clean and comfortable as well. The owners were super friendly and responsive. I’m definitely going back.

10/10, wonderful campsite and great property to visit for R&R in easy reach from the DMV.
We took a night away from home for a concert downtown in Berkeley Springs (roughly a 10-15min drive from camp), had a great meal and beers beforehand at Great Cacapon Brewing Co. Also visited The Lazy Sunday for some homemade ice cream recommended by our hosts, fantastic!
Back to camp, we found a very nice full bathroom with shower for our needs, and such gracious hosts. We had coffee ready in the AM, and chef Ross had omelets on the ready with yogurt and granola, wonderful hospitality, and a furry friend named Cooper. Hummingbirds galore, and access to a very invigorating swimming hole that's deep enough for a full mountain water dip!
Our family will certainly be back to stay in their Yurt which was taken for the night we were there, but this is a no brainer. Comfortable, affordable, hospitable. We'll be back!

Great place! Fantastic decor, very comfy—and the interior is larger than you’d think. It rained hard overnight when we were there and the sound on the roof was lovely and relaxing. We liked the swimming hole! Such nice hosts, too.

Ross and Ali’s property was incredible. On your way down the drive way you enter a world of lush forest.
A warm welcome from Ross and Ali informing you of all of the intricate details of their home, what they have built and what they have to offer. Could not ask for better hosts, they were so genuinely nice and clearly good people. We made a fire by their diner on the creek with a light show of fireflies. The stars had covered the skies in the evening and the birds were your soundtrack to your day. The calmness you experienced was almost unreal. We did enjoy a piece of vinyl from their collection in the morning as we had breakfast. Cleanliness of both Yurt and Bathroom / Shower were impeccable.

Valley Overlook Yurt
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip together at this beautiful weekend getaway. It has it all - a picturesque stream (with pools for swimming), amazing accommodations, welcoming hosts, and close proximity to Berkeley Springs. The land itself is beautifully integrated with local fauna and flora. Great destination for a weekend getaway while also enjoying a high-end camp experience.

There is so much to take in here. A spacious yurt in a beautiful setting. I felt at peace the moment we arrived. Our hosts were a pleasure to meet and talk with. Our trip was centered on biking the C&O and WMRT. The all star accomodations out shone the beauty of the bike trails. Be sure to browse the music available, one of the many highlights.

What a beautiful setting, for starters! Tucked away on an elevated slope in the woods, surrounded by 40 peaceful acres in the fresh mountain air, we were treated to sounds of owls hooting at night, and pileated woodpeckers in the morning. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer to explore the trails. The yurt interior was well equipped, tastefully decorated, spacious and climate controlled. The CD player system with speakers was a nice touch. The WiFi was convenient and the brand new, nearby bathroom/shower facility was great. The futon mattress was very comfortable. The overall vibe in the yurt was very cool. You won't meet a nicer host than Ross. Highly recommended!

We had such a peaceful weekend at this gorgeous spot surrounded by nature. The campsite had a nice raised platform that easily fit our 4 person tent, a covered dining shack with mosquito netting and perfect little campfire pit all right on the little creek. Bugs ended up being a non issue although we were armed with bug spray and citronella candles, plus Ross had some repellent balls hanging up for us. Our pup thoroughly enjoyed splashing around for hours in the creek. Ross was hospitable and welcoming, we got a lovely tour of his property and he was incredibly responsive. We felt completely secluded in our little spot and had a thoroughly recharging weekend!

This is a beautiful site! There is a nice platform that can fit a fairly large tent right next to a small stream. The picnic table is screened in so you can escape the bugs while eating. The tent site is private and secluded which is ideal for any camping trip. There is a bathroom connected to the garage by the house that has a shower in it. The yurt (not yet listed) is absolutely beautiful and would be an awesome get-away for anyone! The hosts are so kind and the directions are easy to follow.

We loved tenting on Rosses Land! His property was the perfect location for my husband and I to celebrate our second wedding anniversary, with the privacy and beauty we were expecting from West Virginia! Ross was extremely accommodating and helpful for setting up and his property hosts the clearest creek I've seen at the bottom of a gorgeous valley! We would 100% recommend camping with Ross and Ali!
