The location was perfect! We felt secluded in our little camp and were able to hike up the hillside nearby. We loved the campfire with the lights strung around, and there were roasting sticks in one of the RV cubbies. The hot tub was amazing. We did get rained out of the hot tub, since there is no awning over it, but once the rain stopped, we were able to enjoy again. The master bed was comfortable, and the bunk beds have a curtain to keep lights out for later sleepers. We camped in mid-November and stayed warm and cozy the whole time. Our only complaint was the water. It never quite worked well enough to shower, and washing dishes was frustrating. We did let our hosts know, and they came quickly to work on it, which helped for a short while, but didn't last the duration.

Unfortunately I can't recommended the yurt. The host was super unresponsive during our stay. We were expecting to go and just watch movies on the wifi with the mini projector but the site didn't have either one. The wifi only reached up to the driveway of the yurt with 2 bars of reception. Our phones didnt have good reception so it was kind of a bummer. We communicated that there was no wifi at the site and was told "Hey sir, I had my wife run up and check it. It’s projecting and working she had 2 bars sitting in the parking area" and "you may need to reset your settings". We had 4 different devices with us and none would pick up any wifi. We also asked about the mini projector the listing said the site had and go no response on multiple occasions. This site is almost really good but for anybody that's looking at staying here... NO WIFI, NO PROJECTOR, THE STAIRS TO THE YURT ARE TALL, THE TOILET ISNT GREAT, THE YURT WASNT WATERPROOFED AND WOULD LEAK, THE SINK SPRAYS WATER EVERYWEAR, NO WOOD BUNDLE EVERYDAY, THE DECK IS UNSTABLE(BUILT POORLY), COLD SHOWERS(unless you figure out how the heater for the shower works, it just kept shutting off on us and the host didn't respond to our inquiry about it). I'm not trying to make this place look bad I hate leaving a bad review. This was just my experience within the allotted 1500 characters allowed for a review.

Looking for a unique getaway? I highly recommend yurt camping! My recent trip was fantastic. The yurt was incredibly private, giving us a true sense of being out in nature without sacrificing comfort. It was also very well-supplied and had everything we needed, which made packing and planning so much easier. The yurt and the surrounding area were spotless and super clean, and the whole experience was just plain fun. It's the perfect mix of rustic adventure and cozy relaxation. We're already planning our next trip!

Initially booked yurt because the site we booked through made it appear there was a hot tub.....there was not. Booked a second booking at the site with a hot tub, had the payment processed and was sent confirmation only to have my booking canceled and told that it had been double booked. No apologies, no let me try to make things right nothing.

Great little spot in the woods! Yurt was very comfortable with soft mattress, microfiber sheets included! The yurt has electricity, lots of games available, a firepit, with a bundle of dry firewood. The deck is large and has a sink with running water near the side and table. Tiki torches are available, if it hasnt just rained, they work and theres a lot of tiki torche oil. The host was nice and brought over some extra hanging lights and check in to make sure we were all good. Great place to stay

Beautiful part of West Virginia. The site was very secluded and had everything we could want. The yurt was HUGE! Plenty of room inside the tent. The outhouse was well maintained. The hot shower was great! Our dogs loved the freedom of not being on a leash.

Alex was very responsive and helpful. The yurt was stocked with firewood and fire starter. I will say the air mattress bed is not the most comfortable though.

Would recommend. This site was well kept up property was beautiful and so peaceful. They are putting alot of work into the sites it shows. Alex was great when ever we needed something he brought it right up and answered very fast.

Great place to take in nature,ran out of propane for heat,but was very prompt. Wasn't told there would be no water or shower 🚿. I put in 2 people 1 dog got my charge,paid in full! I got a25$ charge for my dog after the fact?

The views here were outstanding, especially with all of the snow lately. The stars out here were incredible! The road was a little icy, but plowed before we got there. The heater was available for us and the propane tank open when we arrived. The walkway was shovelled as was the area around the fire pit. Very awesome spot for a winter getaway.

Mountain Side Yurt
We've camped many places in the US, however, this site is, hands down, the best and our favorite. It actually feels like home. The amenities are better than you'd find in a 5 star hotel. All you really need to bring is clothes, food, and meds, if you need them. The solar lights makes if feel magical. We've added more games here for some more fun. The wildlife is good too. Deer, squirrels, chipmunk, ground hogs, so far. The yurt is very spacious and fun to be in. There's windows at the bottom that you can open with screens. The host is wonderful. You do your thing and if you need anything, just message him. They are very nice. And hearing the farm animals is refreshing. We will be back. I will be sending my friends and family also. Hands down the perfect place on earth for us. Thank you Alex and family for everything

Do yourself a favor, get away from everything and stay at the Mountain Side Yurt! Quiet, secluded, peaceful, comfortable, something different.
I will be staying longer next time.

What a peaceful mountain spot, it was so nice coming in at night to a beautiful lit camp spot, with torches and firewood and the tent was ready we were sitting by the fire having a good time in no time at all. Alex is super quick to respond and did a great job at answering my questions and meeting our needs even before we came having so many little helpful items, Will definitely come back!

Mountain Side Yurt
We love the yurt! Soo many thoughtful things included to make your stay comfy. We had two adults and four kids, and there was plenty of room. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting West Virginia!

This place was amazing. It was secluded and private but super easy to find. The amenities were awesome. Alex even left us fresh s’mores supplies. Clear and timely communication as well ! We will be staying here again in the future :)

Mountain Side Yurt
Was easy to find with the directions given. There was a lot of thoughtful things available in the yurt. This was our first stay in a yurt and we enjoyed it vary much. It was a peaceful setting. The only thing we wish had been different is we wish our schedule had aloud us more time to enjoy it longer (maybe next time). Thank you for the accommodations.
