Beautiful place with great views of the farm fields and mountains beyond. We were there on a terribly windy late Fall day (we were right at the top of the mountain) so we are looking forward to coming back in the Spring when we can enjoy being outside more and roaming the farm.

April and Carl are the kindest most accommodating hosts we have ever had! The campsite view was absolutely stunning and the proximity to downtown Lewisburg, Fayetteville and New River Gorge made it the perfect camping spot. If you’re looking to avoid crowds and cramped camp sites we definitely recommend this location!

We had a great time on Aprils property. We were secluded with Mountain View's in every direction, it was breathtaking. Very quiet and well maintained spot. April and her husband were some of the kindest people we've met. They ley my kids feed the chickens and sheep and their dogs were the best, the kids played with them a lot. Would DEF stay here again.

We’ve stayed at this property before, and it continues to be one of our favorite spots. The mountaintop setting is absolutely gorgeous, with wide-open views that make the stay feel both peaceful and memorable. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.
April and Carl were incredibly kind and considerate in helping us with a change of plans and that kind of thoughtfulness says a lot about the owners and how much they care about the experience of their guests.
We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway with amazing views and genuinely wonderful hosts.

April’s land was a wonderful location for a hippie camp, but theirs is very well run. Carl and April and veteran host who know how essentials to provide for a great stay. The views are breathtaking and the environment is wonderful located on their farm a top a hill at the end of society where society meets nature.

Stunning , stunning , stunning. What an amazing place. Just pulling up to that view overlooking Lewisburg is more than a reason to book here. It’s a beautiful winding road and driveway to get to this spot but it is so worth it. And great benefit also is your close to a cell tower so had service the whole time. Plus April and Carl are both so inviting and friendly. I was a solo camper with my dog and felt so safe the entire time. Can’t wait for another trip back.

We had the best time at this campsite! We came with two kids under 3 and our two dogs, and it was the perfect unplugged adventure for all of us. The hosts, April and Carl, were so welcoming and incredibly accommodating — especially with the little ones. The views were absolutely surreal, and the peaceful setting was exactly what we needed. We’re already planning our next trip back!

We had an amazing time!
The view, WOW but most of all the friendliness of the hosts and how welcomed they made us feel. April says “you’re family when you stay here” and we truly felt it!
Nothing better than arriving at a gorgeous location and feeling not only breath taken by the beauty and the possibility to make lifetime memories but to also feel at HOME! So grateful!
Definitely stay here if you have the chance.

This was one of the best camping experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and hospitality — the people here are truly wonderful. The views of the mountains were absolutely breathtaking and seemed to stretch on forever. Every morning and evening felt like a postcard moment.
The property is exceptionally well maintained — clean, organized, and clearly cared for with love. The campsite itself was spacious and peaceful, giving us the perfect balance of comfort and nature. We felt safe, relaxed, and completely at home. We’re so grateful for this experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with stunning views and kind-hearted hosts.

We loved this spot! Only about 15 minutes off the interstate and the view can’t be beat! My children said that Daisy was the best dog host ever! We will definitely be back.

April's land is well-maintained and gorgeous! There are some farm animals wandering around and they have two cute dogs too. Also a great area for star gazing! April was very kind and helped us with all the questions promptly. Thanks April!

This was our first Hipcamp. It was a fantastic experience. April and her husband were so amazing. They helped my daughter feed a calf, ride on a cow, and run the chickens making it a core memory type of experience. Their dogs are very friendly and the hosts were very accommodating of our dog Pancake.
The view is incredible. Some of the best sunrises you'll see in the area. They sell meat and eggs, we're vegetarians so we didn't partake, but seems like an awesome thing to have.
The property is expansive but there are only 2 sites that have the epic cliff/sunrise view. The campsites blend into each other where the best views are, so be okay with making friends. Also check out the Herns Mill Covered Bridge nearby. It's a beautiful drive.

My stay was for a week while teleworking. AT&T, and Verizon and TMo coverage were all excellent. My stay was near the house, which offers outstanding views of the valley below, and daily visits from the chickens, cows, and dogs. This IS definitely a working farm, but, you will have ample space and quiet during your stay.
April is a wonderful soul, responsive and thoughtful. I really enjoyed our conversations and her thoughtfulness.
Getting the the site is noteworthy. The hipcamp app "GPS Pin" does NOT take you to the farm, so, point your GPS to the actual address listed on hipcamp; do not rely on the Hipcamp "open in maps" link. The road to April's farm is a paved, "neighborhood", one-lane-with-shoulders, uphill climb with curves. The farm driveway is a well maintained long gravel drive.
The "backyard" campsite is large, grassy and flat with enough space for tow-campers to turn around. When I had camping neighbors, they all arrived in large, towable campers. For those of you who cook outside, I saw about 10mph winds from east-to-west almost daily, during both sunrise and sunset hours.

This was my first solo camping trip. April's place is so amazing! Beautiful view. Camps were not even close to each other and I felt I had the whole place to myself. April and her husband are great people/hosts. And the cattle nearby were friendly, too! Lol. So peaceful. And a short drive to the Greenbrier River/Trail. If there, don't forget to visit Lewisburg, one of the most beautiful little towns in the USA! This will be my go to place to camp in that area definitely. I love Greenbrier County, WV. Beautiful country.

April has the most gorgeous spot up on top of the mountain, and looking down over Lewisburg! We only stayed a night, but could have enjoyed the area for longer. Don’t miss it!
The mile long dirt road in might be tough for a super-sized camper, but ours is small.

I loved camping here. The view was great! The sure was clean and easy to access. The fields weee lovely, even after the long dry summer!!
My cell phone reception was awesome given the fact that there are two cell towers in the corner of the field! Helpful for my remote work.
I loved being near the cattle herd. They came to graze near me every afternoon. Lovely to have such gentle and friendly neighbors.
I am camping to heal from mold sickness and found Lewisburg above my personal tolerance level. Next time I’ll stock up on supplies in advance rather than relying on a trip to town. But if you aren’t a mold avoider, you should have no problem with Lewisburg. It looks like a cute town with lots of local shops and restaurants.

This was a really beautiful HipCamp in a very cool area. The views are stunning and the hosts are incredibly kind.
That being said, this was not a good fit for us and our camping style, but we can understand how others have found it to be perfect.
We misunderstood the listing and thought we had reserved the particular pictured site, which was not the case - it's an open area where you choose where to camp and if the pictured site is taken, you choose somewhere else on the property.
We also weren't aware that the cattle are free range and can come into your camp site (be careful of cow pies). This was difficult for us because of our dog who wanted to chase the cows.
We also weren't aware that they have very friendly farm dogs that are patrolling the land throughout the day and night. This wasn't a problem because our dog got along with theirs, but I think it's important for other guests to realize in case they have a reactive pet (very common especially with rescues).
Overall a nice stay, just not a great fit for us. Thank you April and Carl for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful property with HipCamp!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay! The views were stunning, and the peaceful surroundings made it the perfect getaway. The host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. April and her husband were so nice and accommodating I will definitely be back. The beautiful view of the sun rising is something to behold and my son and myself will never forget it. He got to feed the goats and baby calf. Miss April let him pick an apple from her tree for him and his mother. It was just an amazing experience and 10/10 recommendation.

We had an amazing time. Our site had a great view. April and Carl were very nice and accomodating. The campsites are right in the cow pastures with the cows so that was fun. The spots are spread out and private. The port o potty was clean. I suggest buying some beef or lamb from them and Grilling out. It was delicious!
