Primitive camping

Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

Sitting at 2500' elevation we are offering 20 acres of mixed hardwood forest with berry picking and wildlife viewing, including a hiking trail that ends at a mountaintop veiw. We are located 10 min from summersville lake and 20 min from Monongahela National forest. Backpacking tents or hammocks are well suited for the mtn top camping site. Fresh garden veggies, farm eggs and spring water available while in seasonPark your car at designated parking area about 2000ft from the top. Hike to the top with your gear. Pitch your tent or hang your hammock at the top of the mountain where clothing is optional. We do suggest bugspray though, You will have complete privacy. A shuttle for gear, firewood and water is available for a fee. Veggies, fresh farm eggs, firewood, tap water and other goods available at our cabin.

Amazing campsite with great views. Nicholas was an attentive host and I highly recommend staying at this site! The hike to the campsite was steep at parts, but the well-maintained path makes it very doable. Thank you Nicholas!

Great campsite and host

Nicholas is a great host and the campsite is great. Close to summersville lake as well. Easy walk and he helped me bring stuff up the first day. 10/10 we’re definitely coming back

Great spot great host!

My boyfriend and our two dogs really enjoyed tent camping here! The hike up is beautiful and very private once you make it to the top. If you don’t hike much it can be tiring so just be prepared! There were chairs and an area to have a fire and the spot to put up a tent is a little further back. The view was beautiful and nick was very helpful recommending nearby hiking trails. Thank you for a great first stay in West Virginia!
