Lord of the Rings Tree House
I cannot say enough about how fun our stay here was! The treehouse is spectacular--Gretchen has done an amazing job thinking through all of the details of this space, and we were able to comfortably sleep our family of four. The bunk bed situation in the loft is easy to set up and I slept up there with my daughter. It was so great to fall asleep to the fireflies lighting up the treetops around us. Even though it was hot outside, Gretchen manages to keep it fairly cool with fans and a small AC unit. We especially enjoyed the tetherball and the sparklers. Thanks for an exciting, adventurous stay. The Lord of the Rings theme makes it feel magical!

Everything about this treehouse was beyond belief! I took my LOTR-obsessed partner for his 30th birthday, and it couldn’t have been better. The treehouse itself is gorgeous, spacious, perfectly complimentary of the tree and the grounds, and features gorgeous craftsmanship. From the leatherbound guestbook to the LOTR and yard games, decor, and even music playing upon our arrival, it couldn’t have been more magical. Gretchen was incredibly responsive and accommodating, and Blake was able to add a small firework show for us despite the thunderstorms in the vicinity. We did experience some severe storms, but truly it just made the night that much more special. You can tell that the hosts are investing in this space long-term: there are countless new saplings around the property and a large pond in progress. We can’t wait to return in a few years and see how things have matured!

We enjoyed our stay very much. My husband and I appreciated all the LOTR touches and ambience that made the trip so unique. I loved the slight sway in the loft that reminded you that you were in the trees! The evening was especially beautiful with all the lighting which even included lightning bugs :D The fire ring area was best for conversation and meal sharing. There is a mulberry bush overhanging that will get you stained, "bloodied from battle " haha. I enjoyed the kitchen area. The bathroom, shower, and oven all worked well. We didn't use the cooler so can't speak on that because we just used our personal coolers with ice which was fine. We brought 4 teens who entertained themselves with a floater in the creek and especially the tether ball. They were sore the next day from their very competitive tether ball tournament:) My husband and I made use of the corn hole. We brought a big tent but with thunderstorms looming we decided to cram into the treehouse for sleep. Two boys used mats on the ground so it was very packed but we made it work. It didn't rain though and we were able to do smores and stay outdoors the whole time. I would recommend as advertised only 4 in the house to sleep and use tents so it's easier to go out to the restroom at night. The air conditioner didn't cool the main floor very much, but it's camping and they made out with the fan. Our dogs did fine too and enjoyed treats left by our hosts who were great!!! THX for the cupcakes Gandalf and Galadriel!

super accommodating—we were there when it rained which isn’t super great for solar power and Blake worked to make sure we always had it! Gretchen and Blake amazing and very communicative. Make sure to watch the video it’s so helpful! We were blown away by the attention to detail, felt like a Lothlorien dream, we will be back!

Gretchen and Keith have the most charming site and it was a true experience. My non outdoorsy husband and my puppy both fell in love with glamping as much as I am. The tree house is totally decked out in fun decor and atmosphere. The campfire is great for relaxing on the swing benches and they provide everything you need to get a good fire going. It's clear that the hosts think of comfort every step of the way. If you love Lord of the Rings and/or trees in general, you will love this place. And on top of the amazing site itself, the hosts were kind and thoughtful every moment we were there. They even had a few surprises in store. I WILL be there and back again.

Lord of the Rings Tree House
Probably the coolest place on earth. We had such an amazing time. I love to read and I found at least 5 place to just curl up with my book. Great place for our family of 4 to hang out. The treehouse was incredible, the hardworking that went into building this dream spot is immeasurable. I found myself just staring at the craftsmanship. Excellent bathroom!!! Creekside!!! Just perfect, thanks for having us!!!

The tree house was very nice and unique, especially at night. With the lights on, it feels like a magical place. But outside of the treehouse, the grass is long (up to your knees) and unkempt. I have two small dogs and they always come back with so many ticks on them, and when I came back home, we found lots of ticks on my dogs' bodies and one on my husband's body too. We were very surprised because there were hardly any mention of it in the reviews or the description. Not only that, but there were wasps in the treehouse, which my husband killed with sprays. We woke up to the sound of wasps buzzing a few feet near us. Our son decided to sleep in the car for the two nights we were there.
I do want to give credit to the hosts though for being responsive. When I texted the next morning, the owner came and spent an hour checking the tree house and sprayed inside and out with wasp repellent (though there was still one wasp the next day).
The treehouse was beautiful and the hosts were good, but we were unpleasantly surprised with the low maintenance outside of the house and the wasps inside of the house. Not to mention, if you have allergies, I would like to remind you that... this place is a treehouse. My son and I were miserable on the 2nd day and the day after we left with sneezing and allergies, so just be aware of that. I hope the hosts take this feedback into consideration.
