Within a 60-minute drive from the Front Royal.

The camping property is about .25 acres. It’s right on the river. The is a decline slope down to the river that can not be access with a boat trailer. This is for kayaks and smaller vessels only. The river is a perfect for swimming and coming off right next to your campsite! There is a public access about 5 miles up that can be used for a pick up point to float the river. The lot is beautiful with many opportunities for wildlife. There is the Capon Springs resort 10 minutes away with lots of options for hiking, massage and swimming. Wardensville is also about 10 minutes away, for your grocery needs. The site is 100% primitive. All toileting, trash, camping and personal items must be brought and taken with you when you leave. Pop up campers and tents are the best but RVs can be parked with prior approval. We hope you enjoy the river!Tents, pop up campers and small RVs are perfect to park and wake up with a view of the river! Lots of opportunities for fishing, kayaking, swimming, wildlife observation and more! Take advantage of the public access site about 5 miles down the river for a river floating trip! Please be aware that AT&T and US Cellular are the only cell services that I can say for sure will have service here. There is a town about 10 minutes away for your shopping needs. Capon Springs resort is about 10 minutes away as well. Quiet time is 9pm-9am. There is a playground across the street, entering the property is only permitted during your rental or accompanied by the owner. Outdoor outhouses available at the Ruritan building across the street. These are not maintained by us and we can not guarantee availability so please plan accordingly. Anyone on the property without rental/permission will be reported to authorities as trespassing.

Camping with kids

We had an amazing time camping here. The water level was perfect for the kids. The site was very nice. Jodi was very welcoming, we will definitely be returning!

Hoover Riverfront Site

I loved staying at Hoover's campsite! It was great! Pretty quiet and secluded! Nice shallow River my kids were able to wade through it. Would recommend!
