This site is under a canopy of WV Pawpaw Trees. There is a tent site, a cooking area, a bench, a bonfire area with firewood ready and a trash can. Depending on your vehicle you may pull up to the site although it is a short walk from the main parking area. There is a nice flat grass area and endless wilderness to hike and explore. This site is also excellent for hammock campers. This is a very private setting. There is a shower house with hot water shower, toilet and sink.

Camp in a WV Paw Paw Forest. This is camping without the hassle. You do not need to bring anything! Everything and more is provided for a classic WV camping experience. There are bins with all camping supplies at the camping site. Also, there is Quick Country store at the bottom where you can buy food and drinks. Pizza delivery is also an option. No need to pack anything, this is perfect last minute adventure or date night. Self-Service Camping at it's best. This is the best adventure or date night in the Appalachian Mountains! 'Get Real' here at Flat Hollow Campground. Camp under WV PawPaw Trees! Enjoy all kinds of camping extras! Expect coffee, creamer, sugar, hot chocolate, marshmallows, all cookware, lights, power bank, memory foam mattress, nice tents of different sizes, bedding, sleeping bags, pillows, firewood, plates, cups, utensils, lighters, old fashioned cast iron cookware, camping chairs and so much more! There is a shower house on site. We offer complimentary escort service from the Airbnb parking below but if you have 4 wheel drive you can come on up no problem and park right at your site! The address for the Airbnb parking if you do want escort service is 6312 Quick Rd Elkview, WV 25071. We will take you back and forth to your vehicle whenever you need. We operate 247 365. We have a community cabin, hostel, at the campground with a bar, we sell drinks. In the community cabin there is a full kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. These amenities are available for a small extra cost you can pay for at the time. Stop in anytime! Rent Polaris Rzrs from Appalachian Outlaw Side x Sides and they will deliver to the campground! This tiny cabin is extremely rustic with barn wood walls. It has a small porch to sit on and enjoy the scenery. It has a smart tv with wifi. There is a wood coal burning stove. There is air conditioning. This cabin gives you a real sense of being back in the old days. There is a super comfortable queen bed. Coffee maker, coffee, sugar, creamer, cups, ect... There is a nice new shower house beside this cabin. Toilet, sink and hot shower. The driveway up is mountainous. If you do not have all wheel drive I offer parking at the rental property down below and escort guests to and from their cabin.

This is a brand new 21 ft camper fully loaded with what you need! Kitchen, Queen Bed & Bathroom! The kitchen is stocked with cooking supplies. It has a gas stove, sink, refrigerator, microwave, dishes and cookware. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and shower with towels. There is a nice Bluetooth stereo system throughout the camper with outside speakers too. The couch is nice leather and folds out into another bed. There is a tv on the wall with Dvd player you can watch while laying in bed. There are chairs you can use to sit in outside around the firepit and park grill. This camper overlooks Flat Hollow pond. The land is special here in the way it lays with all the creeks coming together. There are hiking trails with beautiful sites to see. This is a low cost place to stay only 17 miles from the Capitol, minutes from the interstate, but yet located in the rugged wilderness on top of a mountain. If you do not have all wheel drive we offer parking down below at the other rental location and escort you and your supplies to and from your camper! This would be a great stay if looking for a memory versus a motel room. This is a classic West Virginia experience with mountains all around.

RealTree Camo Cabin 2 is an Amish built 1 bedroom 1 bath cabin with a fully loaded kitchen plus laundry room! There are flat screen TVs with a DVD player with DVDs plus great WiFi. There is a CD collection and a Bose radio, a stocked spice cabinet and all the kitchen supplies a chef would need. There is a queen bed, a fold out bed and a twin xl mattress for the floor. This a beautiful retreat. This location is off road riding/atv headquarters. You can ride anywhere in WV from here on trails and county routes. It is an off road riding mecca. Hiking, bonfires, fishing, hunting and more but the best part about Flat Hollow is the seclusion. It is a hideaway from society where we just mingle with the wildlife.

This cabin is super cozy like a den and then you walk outside to a beautiful mountain view with creeks flowing into a pond. Perfect for romance.

Secret Wilderness Cabin

This secret wilderness chapel is a short hike from the main campground area. You will have to hike across a small creek and along a narrow path up to the cabin. This is my gesture for our Maker. A hidden cabin used for a sanctuary in a magical setting tucked away in the Appalachian Mountains of Kanawha County West Virginia. This is a place for nature lovers or anyone who is yearning for peace, maybe someone who has had hardship, grief, pain and just needs to connect back to reality. Admire His artwork here. I do not believe you could find a way to go back in time and disconnect better than this. The cabin is new construction and has new amenities. A Coleman cookstove, cookware, park grill to cook on, a twin XL bed with nice bedding and blankets, an antique wood/coal burning stove, a library of books, comfortable chairs and a tote full of supplies like toilet paper, cleaners, bath towels, matches, plates, coffee, creamer, sugar and more! This cabin has rechargeable lights and oil lanterns. Kerosene provided. This cabin will provide a memory of a lifetime. There is a twin XL bed that can comfortably fit a couple.

We had a new camper for two nights. It was wonderful stay. Host is very friendly and helpful. Consider taking help from host, if you don’t have 4 wheel drive or good clearance

I loved it! I am already trying to plan my return trip! It was very peaceful and quiet. So many stars could be seen at night. The set up was cute and cozy. The driveway up the hill is tough for a sedan, so I would recommend taking the host up on the offer to come grab you from down the hill!

I feel that this property holds a lot of potential. However, when I arrived I was originally directed to the wrong space. When I did get to my lodging, I was discouraged to find that while the bedding seemed to have been laundered, there was a lingering sweaty odor primarily in the pillows. The shower was disgusting and had matted hair around the perimeter.

The host, Elizabeth was terrific and met a bunch of really nice folks. They even invited me to a fish fry and had a real nice evening. Unfortunately, It was anything but quiet at night. Revving of engines of side by sides until 2 in the morning detracted from what I had hoped would be a peaceful stay in the mountains.

Mountain top location.

The site was beautiful, on the top of a hill with great views and birds around. It is undergoing construction so dirt and ruts and uneven. And the mountain roads in West Virginia are narrow and twisty which makes for some uncomfortable driving with the bigger rigs. Host couldn't have been nicer, suggesting a different location then we originally picked as easier to get in and out of. She is in the process of creating a horse camping site and there are acres of trails for horseback riding and ATV riding from the site. Had 50 amps, yard had lights, water and sewer available. Electric post did not have circuit breakers so if there was a problem, no way to reset. Fortunately, no problem.

The hosts were friendly and the site and was fine. I found it difficult to navigate the driveway with the directions provided. My rental car was too low for the terrain.

Our family loved camping on Elizabeth land! She personally escorted us up to the top of the mountain, where we had amazing views of the valley below, and our pups could run off leash!! She went the extra mile by bringing up some firewood. We learned that she gave side-by-side tours when we arrived and made time the following morning to take us on a tour of the area…complete with swimming holes and trip by the old coal mines. She was a gracious, fun and accommodating host. I would highly recommend staying with her and doing a tour!!!

WV Pawpaw Tent Site
This site was majestic! The hill getting up was a bit rough but the host offers a shuttle service if needed (as well as guided tours!). The tent site is all the way in the back and is super private. The host was very accommodating. They recently added a shower house with a toilet and sink and it was MUCH appreciated. WiFi doesn’t reach all the way to the site but it’s easy to walk up and get a connection. There’s a great cooking fire set up separately from the camp fire, a trash can, and a bench at the site. Plus a cute little pond in the front! The pawpaw trees were so cute and there was a ton of shade. The host allows free exploration of the property and there were amazing trails everywhere. No complaints!

I loved everything about my stay. Liz is an excellent host; very pleasant and interesting to talk with. The property is beautiful. It's very clean and well-maintained with nice hiking trails. I was on a solo trip and felt very safe here. I didn't go side-by-siding (short stay), but I can imagine it's great here in these lush mountains. I plan to stay here again!

Stayed in realtree tiny cabin with my cat for 4 nights. It was awesome! The cabin was set up really cute & nice inside, we were super comfortable. The property is absolutely beautiful. Loved it and would love to go back! Definitely recommend 🏕️
