This site wasn't exactly what we expected. The bathroom was on the opposite side of the property, so the three large dobermann dog follow your trip each time barking angrily the entire trip. There was no proper soap in the bathroom, and an empty roll of paper towels to wash with.
Just an awkward time.

Wonderful little spot north of Hoquiam! Sandy was very friendly and accommodating . I was the only one there when I went. The spot is near a road but it wasn’t too loud, it was quite peaceful at night!

We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay at Sandy's property. We were lucky to get a very clear night for stargazing which was incredible, very little light pollution out there. There was potable water available and a bathroom, and lots of flat grassy space to spread out our tent. The tables made food prep easy, and there were some shady spots near large trees that helped us stay cool in the summer sun.

I LOVE the meadow at this site, all the daisies were beautiful to sleep and wake up to. <3 There is plenty of space for me to wander, eat, and stretch, just what I need on a long weekend coast trip.

Sandy's backyard is spacious and lovely with flowers this time of year! It had everything I needed; the indoor bathroom is nice and having an outside sink close to the camp site is convenient. At certain times of day the road noise is noticable, but at night it turned quiet and the singing tree frogs took over.
With great value for money, I highly recommend this spot for animal-loving campers!

Loved this place! Host was super nice (and so were her sweet playful dogs). She let me stay in her meadow beside her home. Felt private and safe.
She let me pick some end of season blackberries and apples from her property for a simple breakfast (which were spectacularly delicious). She gave me some good suggestions to check out in the area which I ended up highly enjoying.

A truly nice place to stay when traveling the southern part of the Olympic Peninsula.
The dogs are going to bark for a few minutes but not for long and the greenery around the camping area is truly beautiful and quiet.
Definitely coming back again.

This is a comfortable and friendly place to stay. The camping spot is out back from the residence. There is a half bath (nothing fancy) around the front in the pottery studio. Fresh water is provided with a hose. Sandy is very helpful and accommodating. It’s about an hour round trip to drive to Lake Quinault.

If you’re not a dog lover, this place is not for you. We absolutely loved Sandy, her dogs (barking and all), and her precious cat! There was a collapsible table and option between a shaded or non shaded space for set up. We felt there was just enough privacy as we were on the backside of Sandy’s garden. If you’re looking for amenities like a KOA, this isn’t it. The small bathroom and hose was added extra that we were grateful for but could have survived without. This was simply a base camp as we spent both days at the beach for 12+ hours. We returned only to sleep, wake up, and leave for the beach. Sandy had great communication and offered her greatest hospitality. Would return for future stays! Thank you again Sandy!

Sandy is lovely and so welcoming. The property felt safe and cozy, and there were sweet dogs and an adorable cat (panda) that made it feel homey. We loved the pottery studio & left with a couple new mugs!

We loved camping on Sandy's land! There was plenty of space for our pups to run and play, and the running water by the campsite was fantastic for cooking. The stars were incredibly bright every night; it was great to have a quiet space to relax and enjoy nature. We took a pottery lesson with Sandy as well, and I'd highly recommend it!

Sandy was a kind, engaging and accommodating host. Plenty of space, flat and soft grassy ground for pitching a tent, available wood and a firepot (cut-off cylindrical gas tank) that was easy to put into service. Would absolutely recommend.

Overall this site is what i was looking for in terms of location as it allowed me to go to lake quinault and the beach. I orginally had booked lake quinault but they were closed this summer.
The site itself was not what i was looking for. Its not a meadow, its extremely close to the house, the fire ring is a rusty barrel which meant you couldnt actually sit by the fire and enjoy the sight and the warmth. Having a bathroom was nice but it was a bit of a walk and the door has a window on it that doesn't have any curtains so you can see inside. The host seemed nice but she kept talking over my boyfriend while she was showing us around and her dogs would not stop barking. It was hard for us to feel like we were actually camping as we were so close to the house and had zero privacy and between the dogs barking and the power station hum across the street it was hard to relax. We ended up leaving early. Its not the worst place we've stayed but we felt the description didnt match what we saw and the pictures are very misleading. The other site doesnt even have a fire ring and isnt marked at all.

Sandy was welcoming to us and our leashed dog and provided a pleasant enough place to park and tent for one night and gave us helpful local tips for food. The modest (as advertised) bathroom was clean and had a sink with hot water. We found it fairly quiet even though there are local roads and a neighbor dog. There was no shade in our spot as it was a field (as advertised) so one night was enough for us. Thank you, Sandy.

Sandy is a welcoming artist with a beautiful property on the corner of a major crossroads to the Olympic Peninsula. She was accommodating when I needed to show up early to use the WIFI to meet with a student. She was helpful, friendly and at the same time allows a lot of privacy and autonomy. The back end of her property where the camping sites are is a beautiful extra-large backyard type situation. Edged in Blackberries and wild fields, with a couple interesting old buildings. There is one fire pit/cooking area and a workshop style sink serviced with excellent fresh well-water. The two roads (it's on the corner) are pretty noisy until after dark and get noisy again just before dawn.

Lovely spot, easy to find, an excellent en route location if you're heading to, or from, the Olympic National Forest. There is a lot of daytime road noise with logging trucks and travelers, but trees and bushes keep them out of your sight. Sandy went above and beyond, offering a potable water source, garbage can and use of a bathroom. Great value!

Sandy’s spot absolutely rescued us! Our original camping spot fell through at the last minute and everything else was booked. Sandy was welcoming and accommodating. I would highly recommend bringing some sort of pop up or something that would provide shade - there’s no coverage in the spot we were in and it gets warm very quickly. Her place is a quick 30/45 minute drive to Lake Quinault, which is the perfect day trip adventure. There’s gorgeous hiking in that area as well. Additionally, you’re less than an hour away from the coast. So many bonuses!

Camping on Sandy’s land was so much fun! There are birds and wildlife everywhere, and Sandy does a great job making you feel welcome! It was a great place to relax and enjoy nature. It was also really fun to check out Sandy’s pottery studio and all of her creations. I couldn’t leave without buying something! The location was also perfect because you are about 30-40 minutes away from both the ocean and the Quinault Lodge so there are lots of things to do during the day. There is also a local store about 5 minutes away that had ice and your basic essentials if you forgot anything.
