Located in the beautiful Methow Valley, a short drive from the town of Twisp and walking distance from Pipestone canyon, this site provides a private and quiet place to camp, stargaze and easily access all that the Methow has to offer. Sites are off-grid and rustic with no running water. There is an outhouse. This is a self-check-in campsite, so please be sure to read all directions and review the included amenities ahead of your stay. If you have any questions, we ask that you reach out at least 24 hours before your arrival—we may not be on site or within cell service on the day you arrive (we like to go camping too!).

"Kulshan" Tent-Site - Valley Views

100%
(31)
Tent site · Sleeps 6
Our Kulshan campsite—named after a native name for Mt. Baker—is tucked into a quiet, grassy hillside with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and Upper Beaver Creek Valley. Secluded and peaceful, this site is hidden from the main house and accessed by a short 2–3-minute hike from the parking area. The site includes a designated tent pad large enough for a standard 4-person tent. There’s also space for additional small 2-person tents to be set up on the natural, undisturbed terrain nearby—perfect for groups wanting a little extra room to spread out. This property is ideally located for outdoor adventure, especially hiking and gravel or mountain biking. Wildlife is abundant here—keep your eyes out for deer, bald eagles, and more. In spring, the hills bloom with wildflowers like balsamroot and lupine, creating a vibrant and colorful landscape. Just a five-minute walk from the campsite is Base Camp (our home), which sits near the southern entrance to Pipestone Canyon—offering direct access to a stunning 9-mile trail loop. The site is also conveniently located just 15 minutes from the artistic town of Twisp and 15 minutes from the charming western-style town of Winthrop. Both towns offer grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, and small-town charm.
