Nestled on the picturesque Samish Island, the Samish Island Campground & Retreat Center offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural significance, as it resides on the traditional lands of the Samish Indian Nation. This historic tribe has called the San Juan Islands home for thousands of years, and we take pride in our longstanding relationship with them, particularly in our commitment to preserving the burial site of Chief Harry Samish. Established in 1959 and operated by the Community of Christ, our campground spans 87 acres of diverse landscapes, including open fields, lush forests, and serene beaches. This tranquil environment is perfect for peace, fellowship, and learning, making it an ideal retreat setting. Our facilities are available for rent to non-profit groups and can accommodate a variety of needs. We offer heated cabins that can host up to 270 guests, along with ADA-accessible 4-plex cabins. Our amenities include a commercial kitchen, banquet seating for up to 200 people, and a versatile fellowship center that can seat 500. Additionally, our RV park is equipped to accommodate both RVs and tent camping, providing a perfect base for exploring nearby natural features,
