only available on weekends 6pm check in friday - stay as long as till noon check-out on monday! hello happy camper(s)! i’ve lived over 30 years on this slice of heaven in northeast olympia. it is a somewhat rural setting, with most homes having 5 acres, mine being grandfathered in with .79 many of my neighbors have farm animals, my immediate neighbor has sheep, geese, chickens and more - some have horses and cattle. this area used to be mainly strawberry farms. i love being only 10 minutes from town, but a bit out in the sticks (in the county, not city limits.) the proximity to a 22-mile bike path was one of the draws for me to purchase this property. my cute, cozy studio space is on the back corner of my property - 60 paces (120 feet?) from where you will park on my driveway. for nimble and or small folk, the studio has a sleeping loft with full-sized comfy foam mattress (but not lots of headroom) for the rest of us, an ikea twin mattress on ground level. you will find: good vibes, plenty of light, a tea kettle, 1.6 cubic foot mini-fridge (no freezer), a couple of gallons of drinking water, one small electric burner, a new table, ample electric radiator heater, wool carpet over much of the cement floor, a compost toilet with a make-shift hand washing sink (the studio is not plumbed) and much more. outside there is a covered area for you to sit and enjoy that morning coffee, a porch like swing under wisteria trellis and a funky table you could use to set up a camp-stove on (if you bring one.) you won't find: towels, bedding (well, there is a down comforter and pillow) tv, books or an entertainment center. there are some meal prep items- a small pot and pan, some utensils, but you may want to bring more of your own! you will find a quiet, safe and comfy place to relax and unwind! only available on weekends 6pm check in friday - stay till noon check-out on monday!more than a tent - luxury camping! come get out of the rain and cold by staying in my sweet “cedar haven”. built as an artist’s studio - it is a cheery, cozy, private space - far from the street - set in the back woodsy corner of my property. it is 200+ sq. feet, has off-street parking (then a short walk through my yard with your stuff get to the studio - you can’t drive right up to it- wheelbarrow nearby if you have heavy stuff to lug) , ample electricity, wi-fi, compost toilet, sleep loft, make-shift sink for washing hands, tea kettle, one pan electric burner, 1.6 cubic foot mini-fridge (no freezer compartment), some drinking water provided. youngsters or nimble folks can sleep in the loft, on a full-sized memory foam pad. there is also a twin mattress pad on the ground floor. the studio is not plumbed, there is no shower, does have 1.6 cubic foot mini-fridge (without freezer compartment) you can expect quiet and cozy comfort. contactless entry with passcode key box in the door frame of the studio. maybe this will just be a stop as you explore other places in the northwest. or maybe you will use it while visiting family - so you have privacy and a place to decompress? or maybe it will be a writing or yoga or meditation retreat spot? so many possibilities!

Robert's Cedar Haven
Hidden Ge
We loved spending time on this property. The atmosphere was very relaxing and inviting. It is in a rural setting that feels remote, but driving into town was less than 10 minutes. Robert was very kind and gave us some amazing walking recommendations that were super close. This is an easy and affordable option while passing through town, just make sure to bring what you need. Do recommend!

Robert's Cedar Haven
South Puget Sound Launchpad
Robert’s cabin was a great spot to stay while visiting the Olympia area. It was very cute and cozy, and the host made sure everything went smoothly for our stay, including recommending a great nearby walking/biking path. There is an electric kettle, a mini fridge and an electric burner (bring your own pot/pan), sleeping mats and a composting toilet. If you otherwise come prepared for camping (sans tent and camp chairs), you’ll be all set for a great launching spot to explore south puget sound!

Great peaceful country retreat!
Wonderful stay! It's super peaceful there and cozy! I needed a quick retreat and this was the perfect spot. I enjoyed sitting the swinging bench. The most was easy to communicate with and made me feel very welcome. One suggestion would be to add a curtain to darken the place at night. I'll be back for future stays!
