Enjoy your stay at this riverside campground that radiates peace, sparks imagination, and nurtures inspiration. Just west of Belfair, this tucked away destination emerges to an enchanting campground, nestled away from main roads and noise. Overlooking a swimmable and fishable river, this space is big enough for 2 families to camp comfortably. At the center is a kitchenette perfect for setting up a grill for easy cooking. Fire pit ready and an outhouse on site. Once you hit the black gate you have arrived, take the dirt path to the right and the road will open up to your campsite.

We loved staying here! It was our first time ever staying at a HipCamp site and I would highly recommend this location. Perfect set up for someone who lives in a van or to set up a tent. Beautiful river and trees and a great space to cook and eat your meals under a covered shelter.

Serene and peaceful!
We left the hussle and bustle of city life and have the perfect peaceful time at Sam's campsite!! There was plenty of room to set up tents, a fire pit and even a covered area to prepare food or dine in.
We especially loved the river and exploring the grounds.
I'd definitely recommend this campsite to others. It so nice to have a private space to reconnect with nature.

Riverside Camping
It was a great weekend camp experience at Samuel's campgrounds. There was plenty of space for the three of us to pick where to pitch each of our tents, the covered shelter served as a nice prep/serving station when it started to sprinkle, and the stream that flows through the area provided relaxing background sounds throughout the day. The land was mostly flat with some bumps and vines poking up from the ground. The weekend we went, a fire ban was in effect and we didn't get to use the ample wood laid out throughout the area. We did notice that other sites across the water had a fire going, though.
The drive to the campground was pretty straightforward but we did pass by the entrance on multiple occasions by mistake. While driving down the road to enter Samuel's campground, none of us had phone reception but we had the navigation set and also downloaded an offline map prior to heading to the campground. Samuel also provided some directions after booking the spot.
There were quite a bit of bugs. There were honeybees that would just fly near our food but didn't bother us too much, flies/gnats/midges (not sure what they were, but they were plentiful), and also mosquitos. We were also greeted by one of Samuel's neighbors and learned they owned a portion of land near the entry gate. That encounter was a bit intimidating.
Overall, communication with Samuel was quick and easy and we had a great stay. We'll be sure to save and consider it if we're back in the area!

Little slice of Heaven
Excellent place to relax and recharge! A whole river campground to yourself. We will be coming back! Lots of shallow water for the senior dog and some deeper spots for us and the younger dog to swim. The dogs were so worn out they slept on the way home. Thank you Samuel

Lots of room and privacy
The Riverside camp was great! Much more privacy than a park and easy access to the river. We brought innertubes and planted ourselves for most of the day in the shallow stream like section in front of camp.
I hope to return again!

Private, great sized spot
Amazing location, privacy and sized spot for our extended family and dogs! One major alert which made our stay less ideal and a bit dicey was that the lot was infested with wasps. Not just wasps around- major infestation. I was stung pretty badly as was one of our dogs multiple times. We found tons of in ground hives and made an attempt to reduce the chance of stings by leaving the site and getting spray but it didn’t help. I would strongly recommend having it professionally remediated. Because of that, with little kids around and finally relenting to tents last night because it got so bad, we wouldn’t return to this spot. Too stressful! I’m hopeful Samuel will remediate this because it is an amazing spot and he was a great host heading into our stay.
