I did not get much sleep at the cabin. There was a party down the road both nights that went from 6p-2a. The music was LOUD loud. I tried everything to cancel the noise out. I’m not knocking the party. The problem is - I would think the person renting this cabin should have disclosed this information before I rented. I came to find out it’s a well known annual pig roast event. No matter if it was a one-off weekend I’m still rating this low. It was miserable, quite a low! And the traffic gosh. for the cost I paid for this !! Never again.
Other issues
The cabin is 50 feet from the road. I would be careful with dogs “off leash”. Traffic was consistent all weekend and ranged from 30mph-50mph.
The cabin had drip noises all night from the maple tree above it
The land was for sale. So people were constantly slowing down and looking at the property. Major lack of privacy
The image shown in the preview with the Lake is not actually the properties view. I knew that before I booked based off aerial imagery; however I want the next person to know!
Other reviews are fine. I respect them- but my experience was not a good one. I will look for better options in the future.

This spot was perfect for my little solo get away. Definitely spartan with no running water on site. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Everything inside was so well appointed. The host left smores fixings and Tiki torches which was such a sweet touch! The location and proximity to so much nature... divine!

I booked this site as a getaway trip for myself and my dog and it could not have been any more perfect. The river right in front is an awesome thing to have so close, I love the seclusion as well. Thank you to Kellie for all the treats that were waiting in the cabin when I arrived. I will definitely be back!

Super convenient; Close to town and multiple hikes. Away from the hustle and bustle of the town center, far enough away to feel like you are in the wilderness. Steps away from a secluded river!
