**All locks open with code 840/8400! The 1/4 acre property extends 100' back from the road so feel free to spread out in the shade! During peak hours the Nisqually Rainier entrance line can back up over three miles long! This campsite is .07 miles to the park. This mean a few things: You can be the first in line in the mornings, but traffic can also back up past the campsite starting around 10 am. The site is often quiet and free of road noise in the evenings as visitors leave the park before dark. 30 amp and 120v connections are onsite at the road with extension cords for each in the lockbox. When you're not in the park check out the local sites including Alder Lake, The Elbe Outdoor Shooting Range, Ice cream at Elbe Junction or the Wildberry Restaurant across the street, just a stroll away!

We enjoyed our stay. We were the only ones there during our stay and enjoyed the snow fall one night. We luckily had a few bars of service to be in contact with Cameron. He was great at responding and we plan to be back.

Great Location!
Great location to Mt Rainier and some good food options nearby! Easy to find and loved being able to have the option to plug in!

Small, unassuming site
Ideal for our quick overnight near Mt. Rainier. It's right off the road, but quite quiet all night long. We were totally contained in our Cabana van, so we didn't need any amenities, so this was just fine for us. We found this a bit further past the 35 MPH sign than we expected, but it's just east of Alexander's Lodge on the north side of the highway - look for the portable toilet at the edge of the driveway. Down the street is the Copper Creek Inn and Restaurant for some really great food.

Spot on!
This is a great location just outside Mt Rainier National Park. The site we parked the camper van was level—no need to level at all! I also liked the fact that we had the entire space to ourselves—no noisy neighbors :) We plan on staying here again in the future so we can eat at the restaurant across the street which is closed for the season. The host, Cameron, is very nice and very accessible via text. Recommend!

Good spot and good price! It is definitely just a small plot very close to the road, but overall felt safe and got to the park very quickly.

Exactly as described. Close access to the park and across the street from Wildberry. RV electrical hookup and port. Cameron was great with communication as well

Great little spot very close to ranier entrance. It is right next to the road so there is some road noise. But it works as a place to stay if you want to be close

Base camp was the perfect place to car camp when I was unable to get a campsite in the park. Cameron was very responsive to my texts. The site is very basic but it was what I needed & very close to the entrance of Rainier NP. Also the site is right on main road but there is no traffic after 10pm, so noise isn’t an issue. Wildberry restaurant across the street has a nice patio & good food.

Close to park entrance
This is a perfect back up option in case you don’t score a spot inside Mt Ranier park. So close to the nisqually park entrance. Amenities were clearly stated as to what was or was not available at the time. We booked two nights and luckily scored a spot the second day at the cougar rock campground but having this as a backup option for both days took all of the stress out of a last min trip. So awesome to have this available and will come again soon !!
