We had a wonderful time camping on this property. It’s expansive and peaceful. We played frisbee in the grass and it was wonderful having so much space for my children to explore. Beautiful walk down to the water. Great beach with exquisite rocks. Water had about 25 ft visibility. Morning sun and afternoon shade at the campsite. Nice and level for the tent. Lisa is wonderful and even helped us find the best fireworks show! She also let my two daughters meet her horse and pony. I highly recommend.

You cannot beat the view!!! We were fortunate to have great weather and the mountain was absolutely stunning. We really enjoyed our time on this lovely property. Lisa came by on our second day to check in and make sure we had everything we needed. She also gave us some recommendations on things to do on the island and places to eat. Lisa is a fantastic host. This is our first time camping on this property but we also rented it out in March for our wedding. Both experiences exceeded expectations. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a private, peaceful retreat.

I wish I could give Lisa and her camping spot more than 5 stars. My partner and I booked this spot for a romantic get away with the dogs. The view is STUNNING and serene and private. Lisa is very helpful. I would recommend this space for any camper.

Beautiful spot for sure. Host is really responsive and nice. It’s quite far from other site, but were that one to have a large group sound could be an issue as it’s a big open field. Overhead plane noise at night from SeaTac reminds you you’re not quite out in the wild.

This spot is a gem! It all starts with the drive down the magical path of lined trees that opens up to the bluff. Then you’re greeted with the most amazing view of Mt. Rainier. Any spot you choose to set-up is the BEST spot. I spent the weekend taking in the views, watched the seals play down below and spotted eagles soaring above. Lisa also stopped by to say hello which made it feel very personal and gave me a sense of comfort/safety especially as a solo camper. Will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved this camp! The view is incredible off the bluff, and we thoroughly enjoyed walking down to the beach with our dog. Also loved walking through the woods and down the driveway. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again!

My fiancé at the time and I were looking for a venue for a quaint wedding. While simultaneously searching for camping spots for this summer on Hipcamp, I stumbled upon this gorgeous property. It is absolutely breathtaking! Wonderful views of Mt Rainier and the Puget Sound. Also, the long tree-lined driveway made for some beautiful photographs. Lisa was a fantastic host! We made a surprise visit before we booked the property and Lisa was kind enough to accommodate us and gave us a tour of the property. She was also very communicative throughout the process. We were married on our 18 year anniversary in front of immediate family and our three fur babies and it was absolutely perfect (minus the wind). But it didn’t rain and that was a win! Unfortunately the mountain wasn’t out on that particular day but that’s what we get for getting married in March! It was out on the day we visited prior and let me tell you, it’s absolutely stunning! If you’re looking for a private place to camp or have a wedding, I highly recommend this incredible property! There aren’t any hookups (power, water, sewer) so you will have to come prepared for that. But if you’re set up for dry camping, you’ll be fine. We already have a camping trip booked there for June and can’t wait to go back! Thank you Lisa for helping make our special day even more memorable!

We loved camping here - very private, beautiful views of Seattle and especially mount rainier. Our dogs loved the beach as well. Would like to come back in non-32 degree weather with friends.

Beautiful site, incredibly peaceful and well-maintained. Perfect location for anything you might want to do on Vashon. Also loved that we could stroll to Oscar the Bird Man statue and the lighthouse (public port-o-potties nearby too). We came in a campervan in mid-September and had a blast.

Overall, the site is incredibly gorgeous! We were there on a Thursday night, and it was clear they were going to be having a wedding that weekend. While we were sitting outside enjoying our dinner, they had multiple deliveries to a tent that was just on the other side of the ravine — including someone delivering portable toilet trailers. It wasn’t super private in that sense, but the access to the beach was great. They also advertised a picnic table, which wasn’t at the site when we arrived. I’m not sure if that was moved because of the wedding (they were using most of the field for a parking setup).

The view from the bluff and private beach were wonderful. Unfortunately, there was some partial benches leftover from a wedding in the field and many piles of dog poop from other campers (I cleaned up several and let them know). They mentioned it could be from coyotes, but none were around and I'm quite familiar with them where I grew up as they were always in our fields but they never left anything behind. I made sure to clean up after my two dogs and myself, nothing was left behind. It did not feel as private camping here as I was hoping as the property owners/family were walking through the forest areas and up to almost where I was camping on the bluff on my last morning with no warning. It felt weird and unwelcoming, so I began packing up to leave. This was my first time using Hipcamp but the last time I will stay here.

This is a gem. What stood out was the beautiful surroundings yes and the emergence of the white steed. I truly mean the emergence of a mythical white steed ridden by a young female equestrian who rode the animal bareback and led him gracefully over the property down to the water and back up the bank in the setting sun. So beautiful and peaceful. I thought it was a dream. The unexpected beauty was exactly that - unexpected and wonderful on all accounts.

Beautiful spot on the bluff. A huge area all to ourselves. We saw some horses or people with dogs near by but not in the large area of land where we camped. Walk to the water is steep short switch back path to a rocky beach. Quaint island with little shops and restaurants. I would love to come back. Lisa was great to work with.

This was a beautiful spot to camp at. Will definitely be back! It was hard to not have toilets, but we made it work. The beach was also beautiful.

The grounds are amazing, like a small piece of Tuscany placed on a bluff by the ocean wrapped in madrona trees. The moonlight over the water is gorgeous, and calm of the place is exquisite. Lisa the host was kind and helpful. My daughter, my dogs and I had great time in the enormous space that would have easily accommodated dozens more people. We’ll be back w our tribe.
