Welcome to our little slice of heaven on the banks of the wild and scenic Skagit River! The spacious Group Camp overlooks the beautiful Skagit River and is located on five riverfront acres adjacent to our family farm of 43 years. In addition to the Group Camp, there are just 3 single campsites on this property. Get ready to watch Canadian geese fly overhead, dip your toes in the warm sand and experience Peace Like a River. Take a walk along miles of dike, launch your kayak in the river, cast your line and fish the glacial river waters, or just soak up the tranquil beauty. The Group Camp features a huge central wood fire pit with cooking grill, and 7 adirondack chairs/2 side tables that overlook the river. The large custom outdoor kitchen (cold water) is perfect for meal prep and easy clean up. There is also a 3 burner propane stove (propane provided) . Two-8' picnic tables and a 3' X 4' serving/buffet table give plenty of seating for meals. Just minutes away you can walk to the river on a private trail. During the summer months there is typically a long sandbar. You will find stunning views in every direction with partial shade under towering cottonwoods. For safety purposes, a camp fire is allowed only in the provided fire pit. This site has space for 2 recreational vehicles (20' or less) or up to 3 tents. Current COVID restrictions apply for group size/composition. Our family has great respect for the beauty and power of the river. Care for safety must be taken on the river edges as they are steep in places, the glacial water is very cold, and it has a strong tidal current and hidden undertows. Life jackets are strongly recommended for any activities on the water and we discourage swimming. We are located just 65 miles north of Seattle and minutes from I-5. This is your landing spot to explore all of the Skagit Valley, from the San Juan Islands to the Cascade Mountains. You will find epic hiking, biking, foodie destinations and endless opportunities to explore the natural beauty of nearby mountains, lakes and saltwater.

Welcome to our little slice of heaven on the sandy banks of the Skagit River!  Our 3 spacious and private campsites are on approximately five riverfront acres adjacent to our family farm of 43 years.  About 65 miles north of Seattle and just minutes from I-5, get ready to nestle in under the towering cottonwoods, watch Canadian geese fly overhead, dip your toes in the sand and experience Peace Like a River. Take a walk along miles of dike, launch your kayak in the river, cast your line and fish the glacial waters, or just soak up the tranquil beauty. This is your landing spot to explore all of the Skagit Valley, from the San Juan Islands to the Cascade Mountains. You will find epic hiking, biking, foodie destinations and endless opportunities to explore the natural beauty of nearby mountains, lakes and saltwater. Each campsite site is grassy, partially shaded, level and furnished with a 8’ picnic table. Potable water and recycling/garbage is located conveniently close by. Our customized port-a-potty is clean and well maintained. Sites are designed for one recreational vehicle (20' or less) or 2 tents. No solid fuel fires are allowed in Peace Like a River sites (1,2,3). However, campers can bring their own propane fire pit to use and gas grills. Our family has great respect for the beauty and power of the river.  Care for safety must be taken on the river edges as they are steep in places and the glacial water is very cold, has a strong tidal current and hidden undertows. Life jackets are highly recommended and we discourage swimming.

Peace Like a River Group Camp
My family and I loved everything about the sites! Beautiful view of the skagit river by the fire pit in the group site, the kitchen sure does come in handy. Also had family staying in campsite 1. Kids and adults loved the swings! Took Trail down to the river and did some fishing. Would recommend, can’t wait to book there again.

Peace Like a River Group Camp
This was our destination as part of an annual trip of dads and our kids and Stephen & Sharon's place took the whole thing to the next level. It had everything one could ask for in our situation: An outdoor kitchen to die for, immaculate portable honeypots, lovingly maintained tables, tent and social areas and a huge space to play and goof around. On top of that, Stephen came by to personally show us the ins-and-outs of facilities, trails and where we might go nearby for any fun outings. Spoiler: we never left the camp. Please treat this space like the treasure it is to ensure families like ours can continue to benefit from such excellent and generous hosts.

Peace Like a River Group Camp
This campsite was truly lovely. A gorgeous view of the river, a large firepit with Adirondack chairs, very handy kitchen with a three burner propane stove and a sink with running water, lots of space, easy access to the riverbank sand bar. Stephen and Sharon were excellent hosts - great communication, made us feel very welcome. They even provided us jumper cables when my daughter’s car battery died. Really looking forward to returning.

Peace Like a River Group Camp
I've been here 2 years in a row and plan on coming back again next year. Lovely property with an amazing outdoor kitchen. 2 big picnic tables plus a couple more means I can bring less stuff. They even provide a grill with propane. Bathrooms are super clean and well maintained. The beach area is amazing and a great area for dogs to play. The group area is on a sand bar with grass on top so the ground is nice and soft for tents. Bring a blanket for your tent where you get in and out or you'll have a bit of sand inside. Easier to shake out a blanket. Best of all Stephen and Sharon are great hosts! Very responsive and fun to chat with. Can't wait to go back!

Peace Like a River Group Camp
Beautiful site. Thoughtful hosts. Our kiddos loved the sand bar and the tree swings. Grownups loved the outdoor kitchen, farm fresh eggs, and views of the river. We will definitely make it a point to come back! Thanks again Stephen and Sharon!

This is such an amazing site! The kitchen is super helpful to keep things organized and the grill over the fire pit is great for cooking. So much room to spread out tents, play games or just enjoy nature. A short walk down a path takes you to a large sand bar that is great to hang out on for the day. The ground is mostly sand which is great for tent camping. Very comfortable. You might have some sand to brush off when leaving but not too bad. The hill you have to go over to get there is the hardest part. Not too bad going in, but coming out, if you are in a high SUV or truck, you can't see where the turn is and it's a bit worrisome. But it can be done! Overall lovely site, Stephen and Sharon are the best, most responsive hosts ever. We will definitely be coming back!

Our group had a wonderful time staying in this spot, despite the rain this weekend! We especially appreciated the outdoor kitchen and fire ring set up. Views of the river and property were beautiful! Hosts were lovely and we will definitely be back!

Peace Like a River Group Camp
As Seattle summer weather would have it, rain was forecasted for the one full day we planned to spend at the site (bookended by overnights and half days), so we opted to use the space for day camping the first day and then play the other days by ear. Although our time was quite short, we so enjoyed our time spent there exploring the river (throwing lines in to try and catch some salmon - was told by locals that sunrise was the best time), swinging on the tree swing, sitting by the fire pit, and playing lawn games. Sharon greeted us with fresh eggs, flowers, fruit and warm hospitality! She was most accommodating and agreeable to any iteration of our plans for coming and going during our reservation period. Sadly, we didn’t go back after the first day, but plan to make reservations for next summer as soon as dates open up! And PS for those interested in these details, horseshoes are provided and the porta-potty that was assigned to our space was actually the cleanest I’ve ever experienced! The kitchen space was outstanding, cooked up fresh oyster po’boys on the stove and Sharon even shared their propane fire burner for use in the fire pit as there was a burn ban in place during our stay. All in all a fantastic time and we’ll most certainly be back!

Beautiful and very well appointed group camp site. We loved the views of the river, the luxurious prep kitchen, big fire pit equipped to cook, and provided chairs and tables. Stephen & Sharon also put out local flowers and gifted us farm eggs upon arrival. We had several toddlers and were up and away from the water which felt safe. The sand bar was pretty muddy, but hose was available for rinsing off. Overall lovely weekend and highly recommend for a group.

Peace Like a River Group Camp
This is a beautiful location next to the river. The site is a large meadow with tall cottonwoods stretching high up into the sky. The group site was well stocked with seating, a big campfire, two picnic tables, a hose, and fantastic outdoor kitchen. It's perfect for a large group or any size looking for comforts while camping. The host was kind and generous. I arrived to find two vases of flowers and some farm fresh eggs. Very accommodating! The location is easy and close to some great stuff. The Snow Goose Produce stand is maybe 10 minutes away. I went to Craft Island to watch the sunset, which was a great local spot on Skagit Bay. Overall, I definitely recommend!

Peace Like a River
Peace like a River is a great spot to camp with friends. Stephen and Sharon thought of so many welcoming touches with flowers and farm fresh eggs. The group campsite has everything you need to prepare great meals and eat together. Kids and adults loved the tree swing and hanging on the beach by the river. Our group of families has been twice now and hope to continue the tradition of camping at Peace like a River.

Beautiful, quiet, private and well maintained piece of land along the Skagit River. The hosts are thoughtful and knowledgeable. We love it here! The outdoor kitchen makes meals so fun and easy.

Peace Like a River Group Camp
This group camping spot was perfect for my big family to come together and make fun memories. The rope swing was a big hit with the kids and the kitchen was so helpful to have so we could make good meals. The mosquitoes were pretty bad so make sure to bring protective clothing and lots of spray. Overall we had the best time! We are hoping to be back next year!

Peace Like a River Group Camp
This was just a beautiful property! The river and the grounds were so serene. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and the rope swings. Great area for a long bike ride in the country or a stroll on the dyke. The hosts took great care of us and even brought farm fresh eggs. We will definitely keep this property on our favorites list.

The campsite is perfect for group camping! Very clean and well maintained. It is our friends’ first time camping with their kids! The place is really Family friendly! Serene place with nice view of the river. It is such an amazing experience for all of us! The kitchen is complete with things we need, from stove and propane tank, dish soaps to garbage bins. And I love their stainless steel countertop and sink! The PortaPotty is neat and tidy! But the Swing ride alone made it the most memorable camping experience for our kids! We are definitely coming back!

This place is magical! We camped at the group site with 3 families (included 6 kids ages 6 and under). It started as a rainy weekend, but between a couple shelters we brought and the shelter of the cottonwood trees, we all stayed pretty dry! The special touches were amazing too; fresh bouquets of flowers on the picnic tables, farm fresh eggs to enjoy, exceptionally clean facilities, an awesome fire pit grill, quality soap in the outdoor kitchen, not to mention bins of supplies in the kitchen for us to use…we were blown away! Two of the 3 families had never done hipcamp before, and Steven and Sharon definitely made them converts! Seriously an amazing spot. I think we’ll be back!!

The group site was great! When we arrived there was fresh cut flowers and local corn on the cobb on the picnic tables. The site was quite roomy for our 10 person group with dogs! The outdoor kitchen and stove were a wonderful addition to the spot. Bit what sold us was the river viewand easy access. The big swing was great for the kids too!! We will definitely be back!

Quiet and spacious

Quiet and restful weekend by the river. Stephen and Sharon welcoming and responsive to all our questions. We stayed in site #3. Sites 1 and 2 were unoccupied during our stay so it almost as if we had the property to ourselves. Sites are more than adequate and much larger than a typical state campground. Looking forward to a return trip soon.

Peace Like a River Group Camp
We had a wonderful time at the Peace Like a River Group site. Steve and Sharon have thought of everything to make the stay welcoming and easy for a group. The outdoor kitchen was a great feature to prepare meals and cleanup. The swing was a hit with toddlers and adults! We look forward to coming back to camp.

What a wonderful place to relax and enjoy all the lovely gifts-a sandy beach along the River, large roomy campsites, big, tall trees that gave lush shade, and wonderful hosts!! The large fields are mown to provide roomy sites, and still make it feel like we were in a field of tall grasses and flowers. Best decision I’ve made this summer!

The location was great. The spots were large enough and spaced apart enough that you don't feel on top of each other. The hosts and fantastic. They are kind, communicative and informative. They really do want to makes everyones stay wonderful. They take good care of their sites and it shows.

Awesome place to camp!!

We stayed in the group campsite. It was awesome, especially the kitchen with running water, the propane stove, and the clean porta potties. Hosts were friendly and not intrusive. Would definitely recommend staying here.
