Tucked away beneath a cathedral of whispering evergreens, this hidden woodland retreat feels like stepping into a storybook. A winding path leads you to our sites; a rustic cabin along with a vintage camper van framed by forest shadows and sunlight. We invite you to linger beneath the trees, swaying gently as the ever-present evening breeze carries the scent of pine and earth. Walk the paths lined with towering strong firs and swaying alders, protected by sword ferns and salmon berries, climbing and winding around 3 acres of wild mountain space. As dusk settles, the forest comes alive with the songs of crickets and owls, while the lanterns cast a warm golden glow, guiding you back to your woodland sanctuary. Perfect for dreamers, stargazers, and anyone seeking a quiet escape, this retreat offers the magic of solitude without sacrificing comfort—a place where time slows down, and the simple beauty of nature takes center stage. 🌲✨ Outhouse bathroom and sinks are communal. All sites feature a sheltered cook nook perfect for outdoor meals or morning coffee. Each cook nook is stocked with clean potable water, butane burner with butane, plates(paper & ceramic), teapot, French press, cooking and eating utensils(plastic & metal), mugs, and basic cooking pans. Even though your retreat with us lets you unplug, Eatonville is close enough to conveniences and wild explorations to make your stay both comfortable and full of possibilities. The town offers charming local shops, art galleries, family‑style cafes, and a beloved cider‑house & live music venue at Mill Haus Cider Co. For adventures, you won’t be lacking. Northwest Trek Wildlife Park spans over 700+ acres, where tram rides and free‑roam tours let you watch bison, elk, wolves, and more in natural settings. The nearby Little Mashel Falls Trail offers a moderately challenging but beautiful hike with rich forest, cascading falls, and mossy surroundings. Ohop Lake gives you peaceful water access—great for fishing, boating, or just paddling quietly. Alder Lake is close too, bringing lakeside camping and scenic paddling. And if you gaze east on a clear day, Mount Rainier looms majestically, offering its alpine meadows, glacier-fed trails, and unforgettable sunrise or sunset vistas!A winding stone path, lined with softly glowing lanterns, leads you to a rustic cabin framed by forest shadows and dimmed sunlight. The cabin itself is cozy and inviting, with large windows that catch the last glow of sunset over a comfy queen sized bed layered in flannel sheets, thick comforters, quilts, and afghans. A restored cast iron stove holds an electric heater, warming the cabin in minutes at the click of a button while casting a warm flickery glow. Cozy rugs invite you to sit in the toasty warmth with a good book and a tasty hot bevvy; a variety of teas to choose from, honey from the farm on which we are located, along with our mountain made hot chocolate mix await your arrival. A sheltered nook features a kitchenette perfect for outdoor meals and morning coffee. A butane cooktop burner along with a can of butane is provided as are pots, pans, and cooking utensils. A water kettle for boiling water along with a french press sit aside the potable water tanks which provide crisp clean mountain water and can be refilled at the in-camp spigot. A shelter for hanging wet or grubby clothes and towels after a day of adventuring sits ready and waiting with hooks. A handmade wooden swing invites you to linger beneath the trees overlooking the farm, swaying gently as the breeze carries the scent of evergreens and earth. A nearby path beckons you to 3 acres of wild mountain space thick, green, and welcoming. Winding paths dappled with sunlight and fir cones encourage you to head deeper into the forest to get lost while finding yourself; the self that can be felt more freely and loudly while holding space with the forest. Our paths range from quiet and winding to breathtaking and vertical. They are wild and untamed. At dusk the forest comes alive with the songs of crickets and frogs, while the lanterns cast a warm golden glow, guiding you back to your woodland sanctuary. Perfect for dreamers, stargazers, and anyone seeking a wilderness escape, this retreat offers the magic of solitude without sacrificing comfort—a place where time slows down, and the simple beauty of nature takes center stage. 🌲 Please note that The Salmon Hut and The Booville sites are visible from one another and that bathrooms and handwashing sinks are communal.
