Van camping at the Liberty Champagne Quarter Horse ranch was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. The property is located on the outskirts of Sequim in a small rural outpost consisting of homes and small farms and ranches. Our hosts were easily accessible from the time we made the reservation to the minute we arrived. They offered several parking locations and inquired about our electrical and water needs. The place where we parked our van was at the opposite end of the property from our hosts’ home. We had a beautiful view of the Olympic Mountains in the distance, and were flanked by several large corrals, a riding/training ring, and a couple large sheds for storage of saddles, tack, and hay. We had plenty of space and privacy as well. Our hosts walked us around the ranch, introduced us to all of the horses (from stallion to babies), and readily agreed to allow to us visit with the herd in the morning. In other words, they were generous with their time and information, and we felt genuinely welcomed. We appreciated that the property is gated day and night, is well lit, and is clean and tidy.
