Learn more about this land: Last Chance Glass Studio and Getaway is a small eleven acre farm exceptionally situated in the gorgeous Walla Walla Valley. There are level access and pull through camp sites along the Burlingame Canal and the South fork of the Little Walla Walla river (a creek). Enjoy nature here on the Old Oregon trail in the form of beaver ponds, coyote song, deer trails, bird watching and star gazing - just a half mile from the historic Whitman Mission. Park on the partial pavement (Mountain and Garden Sites) or drive gently on the grass to one of the well separated sites. Each site has its own picnic table and fire pit. There is self service firewood for sale. Orchard Site and Park Site are shady and cool on the north side of the drive. Park is nestled in the trees next to the barn. Orchard site has mature trees for both shade and sunshine. Park site has it's own water spigot and is within reach of a 110amp electrical outlet with your extension cord. No A/C or high amp use please. Mountain Site and Garden site are both situated along the Burlingame Canal, a historic waterway and engineering marvel worth googling. Both have an unobstructed east facing view of farmland and the Blue Mountains - perfect for full moons and sunrises. These two sites are generally in the shade around dinner time. Note: The canal is empty August and Sept Creekside Site is the newest site. Fully fenced. Full hook up. Private and secluded. Quiet dogs permitted on leash only. Professionally maintained Sani-can. Beautiful potable well water. In general it is my policy to not review people who are relaxed and camping. I do appreciate your private suggestions and continued good public reviews! I strive hard to be a TRULY hospitable and peaceful getaway! I feel grateful every day to be living in such a pretty place. Walla Walla, Washington... who knew?! It is a joy to share it. Hipcamp has been a wonderful adventure. Thank you so much! Owners request that you don't throw anything for the friendly working border collies, if you see one. The farm is 7 miles from downtown Walla Walla. 4 miles to Walmart super center. Quiet hours (no generators) from 9 pm.

Mountain Site 1

Mountain Site 1 is East facing toward the Blue Mountains. It is the most wide open and sunny. The shade approaches in the late afternoon. The Burlingame Irrigation canal flows past Oct 1 though July 31 every year. (The canal is a historic engineering phenomenon} This site is NOT SUITABLE for toddlers and babies. The water is not fenced. This spot is a good choice for traveling groups when rented with nearby Garden Site 2.

Waterfall Site 4

Waterfall Site 3 is our most rustic and beautiful site. It is south of the wood shed and tucked in along the creek at the end of the "pavement". It has a private waterfall as the Burlingame Ditch passes over the creek. Magic exists where water crosses and does not touch. You'll see!

Orchard Site 3

Orchard Site 3 is our most civilized park-like area. Closest to the Sanican and in the shade under the mature trees, it is user friendly. Excellent for a late night arrival or an early exit. A longer stay under the maples is welcome too! This site requires you to drive (gently) and park on the grass and gives the best view of the 14 doe goat residents and their protector Honk the donkey. (Honk likes most fruit)

Garden Site 2

Garden Site 2 faces Southwest along the Burlingame Irrigation canal. It is level and has a mountain view. When combined with Mountain Site 1, it is a nice large, level area for groups. This site is NOT SUITABLE for toddlers and babies.

Creekside Site 6

Creekside is a lovely, graveled FULL HOOK UP site, with 50 amp service, crystal clear well water and septic. Private and level with 360 degree views of the Blue Mountains and a gentle creek. Shaded by afternoon, this spot is special. Fully fenced for your fur babies! This is the only sight that dogs are allowed off leash, but MUST remain in the enclosed fencing, or on leash on the rest of the property. Large firepit and picnic table included in the site.

We loved Erica’s place! It was very beautiful and peaceful. We wished we could have stayed longer. The site worked great for our 24 foot travel trailer and we could get in and out easily.

Erica communicated promptly and accurately, with directions and suggestions. Her place is beautiful -- the irrigation canal drew a flock of swifts that darted all over, a red-winged blackbird serenaded the campsite (but not too early!), and the charming goats appreciated a little bit of attention. I biked to the nearby Whitman historic site, just three miles away on lightly-traveled paved roads, then enjoyed the beautiful sunset views of the Blue Mountains. The campsites are close enough to each other that one needs to be respectful of one's neighbor(s), but that was certainly our experience. The property is conveniently close to more wineries than a person should really visit in a day . . . but you should definitely give it a try!

Very clean and beautiful farm. There were other friendly campers near but there is plenty of room to spread out. The dogs are friendly and our daughter enjoyed checking out the goats.

Beautiful and quiet. Not in town, but close to everything. Great location to adventure in the Area. Camp host was very friendly and accomodating. Just bring a generator because it is dry camping.

Not a low rating - just depends on what you want in a hip camp. I found it interesting about the “glass” but didn’t find out anything about it at all while there. The new baby goats were adorable and we enjoyed visiting them and all the critters out that way. Nice and quiet surroundings, very nice host. She sells eggs for $5/dozen and we said we’d like to buy some but that didn’t happen either.

What a beautiful stay

We had a very special weekend in Walla Walla with friends who shared the adjacent site. Erica’s property is beautiful. We were particularly fascinated by her goats and chickens. The peaceful setting is along a canal, surrounded by lots of beautiful wildlife. If it weren’t for the other area attractions, like wine tasting, we commented that we could have just sat and watched nature pass us by all day long.

Great spot right outside of town! Had everything we needed without having to go far. We enjoyed watching the animals and while sitting around the fire pit. Was nice having the porta potty close. A great getaway for us and place to meet our family in walla walla!

Erica’s property is beautiful and so well kept. There is a lovely view of the Blue Mountains from the campsite.. We were also gifted with a visit along from a Great Horned Owl who was perched in a big tree over our campsite. The donkey and goats came for some pets and seemed to enjoy the attention. Our dogs settled right in and were very curious about the animals. Plus, we got some farm fresh eggs produced by Erica’s pretty little Rhode Island Red hens. It was the perfect location to enjoy cycling the backroads and also conveniently located for a quick car trip into Walla Walla. We would highly recommend Erica’s Hipcamp property.

This site is simply stunning, a breath of fresh air with views that conjure up relaxation and tranquility. We loved our stay and will absolutely come again! Erica is warm and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. This was our first time in Walla Walla, and it was definitely the perfect way to experience its natural beauty. The spot is private, and the fire pit and bench were great additions to our camp out.

Camping was great - very nice to have a picnic table and fire pit. Sites were level and we enjoyed a beautiful sunrise. We had a medical emergency and could not get back to our camper until after checkout. Erica was super and we were able to get a later checkout which was great to have one less worry. Location was great for riding to the mission and wineries.

Erica’s land was the perfect spot for our little vintage trailer. What a beautiful piece of property and wonderful hosts. The goats, donkey and baby chicks were fun. The site along the he canal was just as described on Hipcamp. The clean honey bucket was a bonus. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

We spent 4 nights at Erica's, and it was wonderful! The property is set up really well for camping, and the Creekside site with full hookups was nice and private. The views were gorgeous, the goats and donkey were so sweet, and as a bonus we got some incredible tomatoes from the garden. Whitman Mission is very close and good for taking long walks, and Walla Walla was close enough for a nice dinner out. We are absolutely smitten with this area and will definitely be booking our stay with Erica when we come back.

Erica's place is one of the best we've been at. The site was spacious, green and quiet. we even had friendly goats and a donkey for neighbors! There was a lovely little creek on the backside of the site. Even though Erica lives on the land and there are other campsites, our site was really private. Erica supplied a fire pit and a picnic table and made sure that we had everything we needed. Erica's hipcamp is only 15 minutes from downtown walla walla, but you'd never know it - it's so bucolic and peaceful, it feels like 100 miles from anywhere. Full hookups pit the icing on the cake. We highly recommend Erica's hipcamp to anyone coming to walla walla.
