Had a great time at this site. All wheel drive is handy for one of the hills, but otherwise, no other notes. The host is very professional and nice. Would definitely recommend.

Camping at the vineyard was so nice. We drove in from Portland and definitely needed a day to decompress and here gave us just that. With a beautiful sunset and Mountain View and waking up to the cute little piggies we had a great night. Also, get the breakfast-DELICIOUS!

Overall I recommend because the views and the vineyard and the farm animals are a total vibe! But you need to be prepared to handle a very rough road, poor signage so kinda hard to know where to go, and expect a very dispersed camping experience (all well documented in many reviews). We had a good time and would come back again!

Kiva and Jasmine are such lovely hosts. I can’t recommend their place, enough. For location, it’s just close enough to White Salmon and Hood River that you can get to all of the activities you’d like. But their place is also just far enough away from town that you can lose signal at your campsite, which is a reward unto itself.
I’d note that the road to to the campsites by the vineyard is not 2WD friendly. My poor little civic didn’t quite make it. Kiva was able to guide me toward a spot near their apple orchard that worked out just as well, though.
Can’t wait to stop back in, the next time I’m in Lyle!

The views from the vineyard are incredible. We really enjoyed walking the property which felt very private. We felt like we had the place to ourselves - didn’t have to worry about annoying other campers or being annoyed by other campers. A little road and train noise but not bad at all. The toilets were rustic as described but maintained with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. I would not chose to take my dog back here as his long hair collected ALL the stickers - we had to shave him when we got home and he was not familiar with the farm animals which was not fun for us (or the farm animals I imagine) even with him always on a leash. We loved that our young teens could be as loud as they wanted and enjoyed them not having any cell service at camp 👍

We had an incredible time camping at Kiva's vineyard. A mama potbelly pig and her three adorable piglets visited us both days—definitely a highlight for my son. The view of Mt. Hood from the top of the hill is breathtaking, and the breakfast prepared for us was absolutely delicious. We also really enjoyed the Syrah and lamb chops that came with the CSA share add-on—highly recommended.
All in all, it was a beautiful experience and a great memory for our family. For anyone planning a trip, I suggest choosing the campsite with the cluster of trees in the middle of the field—it’s on flat ground and the trees provide a nice windbreak. Also, a vehicle with good ground clearance is helpful for the road up to camp.

Overall this is a nice dispersed campsite, but make sure you are prepared for the road and I wasn't impressed by the toilet. As others have mentioned, I recommend having a 4wd vehicle with good clearance to get to the campsite. I got a rock caught in my wheel well on the way up, but was able to pull it out. My main issue with the site was that the composting toilet was like 95% full to the top of the bucket, which came up to right below the seat. Other than that, we had a great view of the sunset with some chickens clucking nearby and we caught a glimpse of some piglets in the morning.

The good: Great hosts and a beautiful campsite on the hill. Just what we were looking for. Seclusion. Lots of farm animals and wildlife roaming the area. Had the please of dining with a turkey and breakfast with a family of pigs. We ordered the breakfast from the host and it was excellent. All organic and from their farm.
The bad: The road up is not for the faint of heart. Hairpin tun with obstacles and a steep rocky incline.

It was a great spot to camp! Though the dirt road is a little hard to find. Turn into driveway with the tasting room and and keep going back, past the house, to find it.

Gorgeous views with beautiful sunset and sunrise. It was a very peaceful spot. The road to get to campsite was rough and would not recommend for low clearance vehicles. We had more guests visit our campsite than expected during our stay like a turkey, sheep, pigs, and goats so keep in mind for pets.

This was a beautiful area with a beautiful view! We saw so many star, listened to owls and crickets, and enjoyed the private space. The entrance is a little hard to find, but once you go far enough into the space, the directions are great. Definitely want to have 4wd or be confident in rocky inclines to get over the hump to the top. But we definitely want to come back!

Overall had a good time. Great views and we had the place to ourselves. Brought the dogs and they got a ton of burrs, which is something to be aware of, and it was a bit of adventure getting to the site. Good site and will likely come back though.

Overall we found a nice site and had a pleasant camping experience! Clean grounds with plenty of space and a pretty, serene atmosphere. However, questioned the “winery” aspect of this property.. did also not find the welcome sheet that was to be expected upon arrival. Definitely a steep/rocky drive up to the dispersed camp sites.

We camped here for a mid-week night in July and had the entire camping area and surrounding hillsides to ourselves. We walked to the top of the property at sunset and had a beautiful view over the vineyards and across the valley to Mt. Hood. Watch out for the burrs and stick to the paths.

It was very tricky to find the location of this Hipcamp. There was no signage or exact address given so we drove past the entrance a few times before we decided to give one a try. The drive in was a pretty tight fit through the host’s yard area which just felt junky and cluttered, and then a tight bumpy road up to the sites. However, once we got there, it was pretty spacious and well-kept enough that we decided we’d stay because we could still have privacy and had no trouble finding the bathrooms. Not super level, but once you go up the hill towards the actual vineyard, there is a beautiful view of mt. Hood. So overall, it was still worth it for the one night, we just would have preferred a more easily accessible entrance. The host communicated with me on the way there, but we lost service eventually which made it hard to know where to go.

Beautiful spot —rustic with a road that needs some work or at least an appropriate vehicle to climb. We did take our truck and small trailer up..so we were fine, but prepare for tight turns and engage your 4 wheel drive.
