We chose this stay kind of last minute while looking for a stopover on the way to Portland, but we very much enjoyed the spot and found the hosts friendly and accommodating. The setting was beautiful and as described.

Private stay with friendly hosts!

This is one of my favorite hipcamps! Its a nice big area and the campsites are spread out so it feels very private. The walk down to the river was so nice, my dog loved it! The hosts were so friendly and kind, they even recommended some places to eat and gave me an emergency number to call day or night. I felt very welcomed. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Great spot just outside Castle Rock

A beautiful, open space near the river with plenty of spots for tent campers and hookups for RV’s. Friendly, responsive hosts and overall a lovely place to spend a night or two, just a couple miles outside Castle Rock. We had a great time tent camping for the night here!

The moment we pulled in. We were super happy. It was clean. The views are amazing. The solidarity is refreshing. I would definitely recommend the spot to some of my better friends who would enjoy the views the atmosphere and the silence.! we’ve done a lot of camping my fiancé and I over the last three months. This is definitely on our so glad we came list.

Our stay here was great! We were there for 2 nights, and while there were other people camping, it was very peaceful. The sites are a great size with lots of room to spread out, and the area is nice. We will definitely visit this camp site again!

Love to stay here!!! The hosts are so friendly and helpful, Greg really went above and beyond to help us repair a broken piece of our rv when we pulled in. Its quiet, clean and relaxing. We will definitely be back.

This is our second time staying on Tyler’s land and won’t be our last. The full hook ups are nice and there are wide open spaces between sites. Peaceful and relaxing.We had just spent 3 nights in a crowded RV Park and this was a welcome change.

Our honeymoon experience!❤️

Took my wife and I on our honeymoon here this past Labor Day weekend! There were about 3 other campers in the area and us! It was a really calm and open place to enjoy, with tons of huckleberry on the way to the river! The spot we chose was just far away from the other campers that we got to enjoy our private time, and have some music on without disturbing others. At night, we got a chance to be scared from the local coyotes laughing and howling, kept us awake till they got quiet, then scared again from bunnies and rabbits hopping around at night. The river nearby was fairly rapid, not the kind to jump into. It was a nice spot for fishing, however we didn’t bring our poles to attempt. We saw DOZENS of kayakers float down the river, it sure was a sight. There is a well maintained porta-potty, as a construction worker, this was a luxury experience. Accessible water is just next to the bathroom incase you need to wash your vehicle down or wash. And a trash bin to store garbage!

Amazing Place Close to River

This place is so perfect for full hookups (we used full hookup site) or even tent camping!!! Close walk to the river and very clean, peaceful and felt safe. We will definitely stay here again!

Great camping near lazy river!

Great little campground next to a beautiful lazy river. We spent all day in the water swimming and kayaking. It would have been fun to drive up river and kayak all the way down to the Riverside Park if we had planned it out better.

Perry was a fabulous host. The site is beautiful and open. The area is flat in a grassy treed location, which is really nice. The downside is that the highway and train noise is loud at night.

Wasn’t really much of a campground more like just a field that they put some hook ups in. The access to the river there is a trail yes but there’s not really access to the river because it’s up on a bank. It’s a little misleading. No picnic tables at the campsites, and there were a lot of bees.

Was looking for a safe space to park on my travels and found this wonderful place! Gorgeous trees, flat ant level camp spots, bathroom, etc and so peaceful. Slept deeply and woke up to a gorgeous sunrise and fresh air. They were quick to respond and gave excellent directions which made it easy to find after dark!

Lovely long weekend

Our site was easy to find with host’s directions, and someone came out right away on arrival to make sure we were all set. We had both full hookup sites and one water/power for our group long weekend and found them all to be quiet at night. We loved being able to walk the dogs to the river, and while Mother Nature left river access a little hard there was enough little beach for my dogs to play and swim. We also loved easy access to Mt. St. Helen’s area for hikes and paddling on Silver Lake a couple of hot days only 20 min away. Also really appreciated the high quality grading/gravel host has done for the road through and full hookup sites to cut down on dust from the Helen’s ash that’s everywhere.

Great little place to camp! Lots of space! We were the only ones there for most of the time. My little dogs loved the river and the freedom to roam. Would love to see picnic tables at all of the sites though;) will definitely be back with friends. Excited to see what else the owner has planned for the site.

We had a great stay! The river spot was excellent—just a short walk away and perfect for relaxing or letting the dogs cool off. It’s a fantastic location for anyone traveling with pets; our dogs loved the space to roam. The full hook-ups made things super convenient, and the host was incredibly accommodating and welcoming throughout our stay. The only downside was the frequent gunshots from neighboring properties. They were extremely loud and close—enough to make us jump—and unfortunately, they terrified our dogs throughout the trip. This was no fault of the host, who was wonderful and did everything they could to ensure a great experience. Just something to be aware of if you or your pets are sensitive to loud noises.
