You don't want to miss this truly unique location! Our 3 campsitesites sit just up the hill (0.4 miles) from US 101 and the beautiful shores of the Hood Canal, with semi-obstructed views of the water. I own and run Lilliwaup Oyster Farm just down the hill and across the 101 - you'll pass the workshop and processing building on your drive up to the sites. YES! We offer oysters to purchase, seasonally (September - June) and if you're feeling adventurous, take advantage of farm tour on the beach and harvest your own oysters straight from the farm to eat raw or grill up back at your campsite! *Please note - oyster farm tours require 1 week advance notice - let us know when you book if you're interested.* Campsites are located on a secluded hilltop just a half mile from the waterfront, surrounded by old growth trees, wildflowers, and the serene soundscape of the rushing creek straight from the the Olympic Mountains. Come rest and reconnect with yourself, your crew, and the elements. - Perfectly located for access to SCUBA diving sites and YSS Dive in Hoodsport. - Short drive away from local eatery favorites: Hama Hama Oyster Saloon, The Fjord Oyster Bank and Potlatch Brewery. - Close access to hiking trails for everyone: Olympic National Park Steps Entrance, Dosewallips, Duckabush State Parks, Upper and Lower Lena Lake trails, Mt. Walker, Rocky Brook Falls. - Set out on the Lilliwaup State Park Tidelands at low tide to harvest your own clams. - Eagle Creek at high tide is a perfect launch point for kayaking and paddle boarding (parking on the side of the 101) This is a winding, chip-sealed, mountain hillside - not ideal for longer length rigs. Most of the hillside is 6% grade, and the last few hundred yards up are at a 10%+ grade. Sites #1 and #2 are best suited for RVs (max 30' length) and include 50 amp hookups, (bring your own converter if you have a 30amp vehicle) potable water, and full sewer hookups. Site #3 is our tent camping site as it includes a step-down grassy flat terrace that can accommodate up to 4 tents comfortably, with 2 car max parking. Site 3 includes 30 amp + (2) 20 amp electric and potable water hookups. All sites have access to the onsite unisex restroom and access to the communal yard game play area.

Site 3 is the super versatile! Perfect for a small group of tent campers, or a mixed group with Class B RVs, a pop up, + tent campers! This site includes a 32" x 20" gravel pad and a walk-down tent terrace that is fully canopied by old growth native tree species. The tent terrace dimensions are 35" x 19". RVs and travel trailers over 24' not allowed on Site #3 due to size restrictions, but check out Sites 1, and 2 which are better suited to RVs! If you are tent camping only, then 3 vehicles max can fit in the gravel area if Site #3 to park. If you plan to use Site #3 with a camper van, pop-up or small travel trailer, be aware that only 2 vehicles max will fit in the gravel area of Site #3. We do not have offsite or street parking, so please adhere to these parking guidelines. :) Site is port-a-potty adjacent, and separated from the other two sites by a communal yard game play area. Also included: - Water + 30 amp electric hookups (no black or gray tank dumping on site 4.)

Site #2 is one of the two larger sites and can easily accommodate 30' or smaller Class B, Class C, Camper Van, or Truck Camper. Site #2 includes a fire pit and easy access to the onsite restroom. Site is adjacent to communal yard game play area. The entire site is gravel, so not ideal for tent camping unless you've got some good padding. You'll see in the photos that Site #2 sits directly adjacent to Site 1 and they are separated by a cedar fence. Maximum 1 camper vehicle + 2 cars as there is no street parking or offsite parking. Hookups: 50 amp + (2) 20 amp electric Water Grey + Black water sewage

Site #1 is our favorite! Sharing an edge with an old growth cedar grove, Site #1 can easily accommodate 30' or smaller Class B, Class C, Camper Van, or Truck Camper. Site #1 includes a fire pit, picnic table and benches, and easy access to the onsite restroom. The entire site is gravel, so not ideal for tent camping unless you've got some good padding. You'll see in the photos that Site #1 sits directly adjacent to Site #2 and they are separated by a cedar fence. Maximum 1 camper vehicle + 2 cars as there is no street parking or offsite parking. Hookups: 50 amp + (2) 20 amp electric Water Grey + Black water sewage

This was our second time at this campsite in Lilliwaup! The location is great, it was quiet, the campsite & porta-potty were clean, and Jim was a great host. Since it was a wet weekend, he brought dry kindling to our site and made sure we were all set for the evening. We'll be back again!

Site #3 was perfect for our first time camping using our sleeping platform in the back of our Forester with a Kelty caboose. There was plenty of space! There was a big wooden spool we could use as a table. Although we didn’t tent camp in the additional open clearing, we did sit there to enjoy our coffee the next morning. It was very quiet except for the chipping of birds and sound of a nearby stream. The porta potty was very clean! Jim was very responsive. We will definitely be back.

Site 2 is a nose in site. Sewer dump was in an odd location but usable. Large site would be great for families. Quiet and pleasant.

We enjoyed our two nights at Jim’s camp spot. We stayed at Site 1 which has a pick of table with an umbrella, and a little herb garden they use to leave small bouquets of herbs and flowers at each camp Site. There were also herbs in the outhouse for a fresh scent, lovely touch. The spot was large and the campground is surrounded by large trees. This would be a great place for a group camp event.

Great location, very clean and quiet! The spots are all very close together but they have a nice fence between sites 1 and 2 and luckily no one was staying at site 3 so we didn't have anyone else right next to us.

We stayed here one night as a layover on our way to Mount Rainier. The site was very nice and had an area to park with the table and then down the little hill you can put up your tent in a nice grassy area. There was an electric box and the porta potty was nice and clean the fresh herbs inside the Porta potty was a nice touch. I love the smell of basil! And we enjoyed the fresh wild flower on our table.

We had a wonderful time camping at the Tent Terrace site in Hood Canal. The lower level of the site was more secluded and worked great for our tent. We used the upper level with the table for cooking and eating. The four sites on the property are quiet and well maintained and the host was quick to respond. There are several public beaches nearby covered in oysters and it's fun to explore at low tide. We did a nice short hike on the interpretive trail in the Hamma Hamma Campground nearby and the river was cold and beautiful for a quick dip. We'd love to come back. Thank you, Jim!

Our stay was great. Easy to pull in and get set up with our truck and trailer. The site was great with full hook ups and plenty of room to set up and relax. It was quiet and peaceful and nice and close to hood canal and close drive to some great hiking spots. This was our first time using Hipcamp and first time taking out our new trailer so we were nervous to try everything out but everything worked out great. Don’t be worried about the grade it was easy enough for us as first timers.

It's a nicely done campsite. Fire pits, picnic tables, and full RV hookups. We were rooftop tents camping, but it was great to be able to plug in my CPAP machine. It's a very quiet spot, with the sound of rushing water from a nearby stream in the background.

We had the best time at this beautiful place. Jim the host is Great. And the Oyster’s are world class. Unfortunately are inflatable car mattress had a blow out so we had to leave early 😳. I recommend this place and hopefully be back soon.

Overall we had a wonderful stay- Jim was very welcoming and hooked us up with amazing local oysters for an unbelievably reasonable price! He even provided a cooler, ice, and tools to open the oysters. Firewood was also provided which was a big plus. Only downside is that there are 4 sites right on top of each other, so very little privacy. It’s a great stay and a beautiful spot, just would be much nicer if it was two spots as opposed to four.

Jim's campsite was absolutely beautiful! It was spotless, had thoughtful touches of a nice fire pit and picnic table. We loved being close to beaches and having a more private, peaceful place to stay.

Jim’s taken care of everything: water, electricity, firewood and even fresh wild flower arrangements on site and even inside the portapotty. Jim’s tour of oyster beach was very educational and memorable to us all. One of the highlights was also cooking oysters on an open fire. We left this farm with several dozens of farmed oysters - freshest ones. Unique and excellent experience overall - thank you, Jim!

Really enjoyed the bi-level style this site offers. Allows for a feeling of being away from your vehicle while it’s still accessible/within eyesight. The view into the forest is peaceful and serene. Don’t sleep on Lilliwaup Oyster Company! Some of the best I’ve ever had! Very special added perk to be able to purchase from the farmers directly and enjoy oysters so close to the waters they hailed from

We stayed at campsite #4 and will be returning! The campsite is great, there are two levels which gave us enough room to park up top and sprawl out on the lower level. Other adjacent campsites are on the same plane as the "upper" level of our site, so the lower level seems pretty tucked away. There was a very clean portapotty on the top level, a water faucet, and TWO fire rings! firewood was provided for us and there was plenty onsite for the next group. we happened to be all alone on the campground that night, and it was very quiet; you would hear a car pass on the main road every so often, but the sites are far enough away from the main road that it doesn't sound like much. There is a public beach area (Eagle Creek) pretty much right across from the campsite (2 min drive, 5-10 min walk) where we found plenty of oysters and other fun stuff at low tide! our hosts Jim & Kelly responded quickly to messages and had our campsite ready for checkin within minutes of us booking! a great place to camp for the weekend, we will be back :)

What a cool spot Jim has. Easy access from the highway... yet quite secluded. Site is a level gravel base that was good for our 18' TT. Nice to have electric, water and black water dump on site. The 3 sites were clean and well maintained. Jim and his crew are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The description and pictures are accurate. Oysters from the area are fabulous. We had a great couple days and we will return!

We had a great stay! The camping space was very spacious and quiet. All amenities were working great. Jim and Kelly were very responsive and welcoming. You must visit here in the oyster season! Their oysters were from heaven 😋

Such a quiet, well cared for site. Hill was not as steep as I was prepared for - we have a small camper van so all good. Door mat in the porta-potty! Amazing. We would stay again.

Great location and very quiet and large RV campsite with beautiful surroundings. I was a little concerned about the description of the steep hill to access the campsite, but I found it to be absolutely no problem in my 25' Class C towing a jeep. I will definitely stay there again, and would recommend the spot to others.

Our family had a great first camp experience on Jim's land. Easily accessible, yet hidden. The split level at our campsite made the tent area feel cozy. Jim and camp host Kelly were very responsive to our questions too. Having the power outlet was great since we were camping with tweens (no drama llama).

Jim's spot was a great break from crowded parks! We were nervous about getting up the hill but the road is chip-sealed so didnt pose a problem. We ended up turning the trailer sideways so we could better enjoy the view and have more privacy. The turnaround was a bit tight for our 23' trailer and truck and required electric and water extensions but it worked out perfectly once we got set up! It was a nice touch to have the wildflowers and welcome note waiting for us and the camp host was available and accommodating. Jim didnt have any Oysters, but we got our limit on clams both days up 101 a few minutes at Dosewalups and ended up buying a few dozen Oysters at Hama Hama on the way. All extremely convenient and made for a relaxing adventure! We'll definitely add Jim's Hilltop to out favorites!
