This was my second stay at Whidbey Highland Farm, and it did not disappoint! My kids came this time, and they had the most wonderful time watching the animals, riding the zip line, and walking to the beach. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. We were able to squeeze two camp mattresses inside the cabin as well. An unforgettable spot! Can't wait till we can come back.

Utterly delightful experience, my second time here. Jake and Becky accommodated us having extra guests with tents to celebrate our childâs birthday and helped create a welcoming time all around. The animals are an extra treat!

We loved out stay at the farm. The cabin was small but perfect for sleeping and getting in out of the rain. It was so much fun seeing the animals and playing games in the yard.

What a view! The beach and field walks are nearby too. The hosts generously offered the chance to join their Saturday farm tour. Made my day! I felt so lucky to stumble across this stay. And I always appreciate being able to share adventures with my dog. Thank you!

We so enjoyed our time at the farm! The bungalow was clean, cute, and cozy. Great night of sleep in the bed. The grounds were beautiful and the animals were so cute and sweet. A wonderful location for relaxing and enjoying the beauty that nature has to offer. Our hosts were great, even letting us have interactions with the animals.

We had a great stay at the Highland Farm! We all enjoyed meeting the animals, taking in the views and meeting Jake and Becky. The bungalow was cozy for 2 of us and plenty of room for a tent for the other 2. Our dog loved being able to roam and explore. The eagles nesting nearby were a special addition as well! Thanks for sharing your corner of the world with us!

Such a lovely place with an amazing view, animals around, the bed is firm and the comfiest bed I've ever slept on! Loved it! Easy to find off the road which is appreciated. Quite except for an occasional dog bark or rooster. đ

I'm so grateful to Jake and Becky for sharing their little piece of heaven with the rest of us! It was a truly spectacular site, with so many thoughtful touches already in place (like a water cooler inside and a Blackstone grill in the outdoor kitchen), and many more on the way as they develop the site. I built a fire in the Solo stove with unlimited free firewood. The animals were super friendly, and I even got to see them bottle feed a new lamb. It's an easy walk to the beach, with incredible sand cliffs. The hosts had great recommendations, and I ended up driving up Mt. Erie on a perfectly clear day, an easy drive. Everything you'd want to see is a short and easy drive away, like Bowman Bay and Rosario Beach, but it's also a good idea to plan in some chill time at the cabin, particularly at sunset. The cabin gets chilly at night as others have said, and pack a lantern or string lights for the porch. This is a top-notch Hipcamp experience, and I can't wait to bring my kids back later this year.

This place is amazing. A lake view and an ocean view and a zip line and highland cows. Pretty amazing stuff. The host had great dinner recommendations - Jumbo Burrito is the bomb. Beautiful sunsets next to the wood fire stove. Highly recommend this place!

Highlights
We enjoyed a late-Nov stay with our dog. It was cold, sunny (~8hrs) and crisp. The best:
- Lovely short trails right around the property - private, accessible & beautiful. Endless wildlife photo opportunities. Saw 3+ nesting eagles in trees on/around property. Loved the binoculars provided.
- Said hello to the cows (very photogenic) + pigs (hollered at us to feed them). A pig escaped but it was friendly and host was responsive.
- Close enough to town and private enough to escape it all.
Feedback
I think important additional info should be included in the listing, so visitors know what to expect before they book, pack, get day-of instructions/rules, arrive, etc. Luckily none of these affected our trip too much because we over-prepared:
- Toilet is porta-potty outside the building (clean but spiders!)
- No electricity or indoor heat, 2 large batteries supply limited amt. of power. We (sparingly) used ~50% of 1 battery for 2-night stay.
- Pictured kitchen equipment (other than outdoor propane camp grill) not available in fall/winter. We ended up going out to eat.
- Parking is 100-200ft away from building. Firepit 50-100ft away. No exterior lighting.
- Late Nov was cold, dark and wet on the property (which we knew) but due to the above, bring lots of warm clothes, floor coverings, rugs, and battery-powered lighting!
I'll reiterate that we had a fantastic stay. I know the host is working on various projects on the site, so maybe weâll be back in warmer weather!

We had a delightful stay and Jake and family went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable during our cold and rainy adventure. My kiddo loved the animals, swings, and zipline and the cabin was a lovely refuge. We hope to be back!

We had such a lovely time on Jacobâs property. It felt remote and private, while being a short drive into town. Our pup was a little too interested in the farm animals so we did keep her on leash, but she had a great time sniffing around on a long lead. Jacob was so friendly, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend for an upgraded camping experience.

I loved staying at the bungalow! It was the perfect rainy PNW weekend. The property is beautiful and quiet, the cows and pigs were adorable! Very close to the beach and the view of the lake waa amazing. So many more amenities than I was expecting and if it was sunnier I would have taken advantage :) The bungalow was very clean and had everything I needed for the night. I hope to return in the summer!

Jacobâs space is absolutely beautiful. I had the most peaceful evening hanging out with the pigs and cows as the sun set. The view is incredible, and Jacob is a gracious host! I will be back!

This Hipcamp was great for letting my dog off leash, or for spreading out with a larger group if you have one. The Highland cows were honestly the highlight of the experience and I'm pretty sure Moo-tilda and I are best friends now. The cabin itself was clean and tidy and the hosts friendly. The view from the cabin was lovely. Easy walking distance to the beach - just beware of locals with their off-leash dogs. Not all are friendly.

What a beautiful, peaceful getaway.
Absolutely stunning sunsets and sunrises! Within walking distance from the beach, as well as extensive fields for the dogs to run and play. The bungalow is absolutely charming and the bed is so comfortable! It was clean, and well presented. Great outdoor cooking area with a refrigerator and multiple barbecues. Definitely a place I will be back to, 10 out of 10 recommend

We loved camping on the farm. It had loads of activities that we weren't expecting, a cool outdoor kitchen that we set up our camp stove (although there were plenty of BBQs to use) and the most amazing views. My favorite things were the axe throwing and baby pigs and my daughter's favorite was the zipline. Our dog loved roaming around unleashed and smelling all the things. 10/10 would recommend đ

We arrived at Jake's Hipcamp site and it was vast (the dogs ran free to their heart's content) and perfect for a family getaway. I loved that it was so private and the views were fantastic. The bungalow was clean and the bed that slept two people was comfy and cozy. There were multiple power station batteries that powered lights and we were able to charge our phones. There was an outdoor kitchen setup with lights as well with a refrigerator and barbecue grill.
My son appreciated the hammocks, ziplines, swings and etc.
We got to meet with Jake and had a chat about his plans for the place, he really cares for his property and the kind of experiences he is envisioning sounds exciting.
Trips with dogs were always stressful for us. Our dogs had a traumatic past with cars so they hate car trips. They had so much fun on Whidbey Island and at Jake's site that they willingly jump in and out of cars now.
We will definitely be back!

We had a great time a fuzzy farms. The property is clean and there is attention to detail. Jacob was kind and welcoming giving us a tour. I highly recommend you stay for the beautiful view and some axe throwing!

The views out the front patio and from bed are stunning of the ocean and mountains! We loved waking up and reading with this view. 2 adults can comfortably stay in the queen bed, with plenty of space outside for a tent if more are staying! This was a nice spot to stay in Oak Harbor on our way back from Mt. Baker. Thanks Jacob!

Our family (2 adults and a 2 year old) recently loved our stay at the Fuzzy Farm! The little cabin was clean and comfortable, there was a saucer swing and ball pit our daughter loved playing in and the view was amazing! The host, Jacob, was communicative and offered great suggestions of places to check out and eat.
