My pup and I camped on Johannes’s land in our 16ft travel trailer and loved every bit of our stay. Great location, short drive to Langley and Possession State Park amongst other things. Electricity, water, and WiFi all worked great. Neighbors are a good distance from the site and we didn’t see them once during our 3 night stay. The site was private and we felt safe the entire time. Would absolutely stay here again and hope to in the near future.
One thing to note: as stated in the listing, site does not have a 30 amp hook up so bring either a 50 or 20 amp converter if needed.

We had a lovely time camping at this spot! The wifi was very helpful as our signal was pretty weak, and we enjoyed the quiet of the spot, with some rare and mostly white noise from the nearby road. We had a nice, level spot for our trailer and enjoyed the birds, rabbits and even the sounds of the coyotes at night. It is sparse as described, but for our purposes, it was more than enough.

We needed an overnight and it met our need. The site needs some sprucing up. A little landscaping such as weed eating, mulching, and shade trees would help the setting. Signage or better directions on property would help since there are several driveways.

If you're looking for a minimalist site that's very close to the Clinton ferry and Whidbey Island Fairgrounds, this is your spot. It's literally just a gravel driveway with a loop, hookups on one side and rock fire pit and logs to sit on on the other. We're tent campers and there isn't a level clear tent site, so we pitched on the driveway (luckily we had tarps.) With rain in the forecast, Johannes very kindly had a canopy and propane fire pit set up for us to use, which were so so helpful. One thing to note is that although there's water visible in one of the photos, it's not accessible from the site as it's across the road. There is a short overlook trail where you can see it though. Didn't end up trying the Internet, but very much appreciated its availability. Oh and the other thing to note is that the site is on a divided up property with neighbors who aren't usually there, but could be. There was a birthday party happening when we visited which was a little noisy but actually comforting as we're used to staying in busy campgrounds. The birdsong in the morning was so lovely!!

Great spot close enough to pop into town, far enough out to hear the awesome frog symphony from the wetland across the way at night. Water and hookups were great. Thanks for everything!

The firepit was awesome. The site was level, and appreciated access to wifi, power, and water. The sounds of birds and frogs from accross the road was lovely.

Site is right off the main road, couldn’t find a trail to the bog but it’s right across the main road. Hard to find the site, we had to just look for the “for sale” sign. Yes, the property is for sale and we could tell why. It’s basically just a gravel turnaround with a rock fire pit and power hookup connected to other gravel turnarounds (one of which has a construction vehicle parked in it). Definitely not serene with the main road right next to it you can hear and see all cars passing by. We didn’t even feel comfortable outside our camper van because it was too quiet, not even crickets, made us feel like sitting ducks. Made us feel so uncomfortable that we didn’t even set up camp. Even as we quickly left we felt metal scraping our vehicle and saw three cars swerve behind us on the main road leaving the “property”. If you want to pay to stay on a not so open lot that is clearly waiting for a house to be set up on (while still making profit off if the site) with no security right off a main road where you feel you’re being watched by whoever/whatever could be out there, this is the place for you.

This is an amazing Hipcamp in a location with very few campgrounds. The communication was excellent, the service was great from the Host. The Host even brought us a propane fire pit when we couldn’t have a fire in the GORGEOUS fire pit provided you to burn bans. The location with spectacular and we had a wonderful four days.

Good Wi-Fi. Very much out there. A great stop to arrive and sleep. Construction site is very active- even on a Saturday. And it’s very secluded once there. Lots of birds and deer when we awoke.

Johannes property is peaceful and quiet, yet just a short 7-minute drive from the heart of Langley. Electrical and water hookup were up-to-date and super convenient. Wifi reception was great, with an access point right next to the campsite. Speeds were also very respectable.
All in all, this is perfect for our visit to Langley to check out the cuisine in the area!

We loved this site and feel like it was the best site of our entire trip! Johannes has created a wonderful space. The site is easy to find with a well graded gravel road just minutes from everything on southern end of the Island. The hookups were all excellent, including WiFi at the site. We will definitely visit again!
