Awesome spot! We were looking for a reservation for Memorial weekend and wanted something a little more private than a typical crowded State campground. I booked space #1. When we first arrived, I was confused since we didn’t see a fire pit or table at our parking spot. I messaged the host and he arrived immediately and showed us the very short trail down to the fire pit and table. (We were sleeping in the truck bed so didn’t want to be too far from our “hang out” spot). It was perfect as it was within a grove, off the road and away from other sites. We were traveling with two small dogs so it was perfect for them to play without being distracted by other campers (or a target for eagles). There was a garbage dumpster and porta potty just a short walk away for convenience. Our site was BEAUTIFUL with old growth and ferns! There were many sites that were more open and not secluded or surrounded by trees. A couple spots were near a small playground that would be nice for those with kids.
If anyone is looking for seclusion and nature (like we were) spots 1, 4, and 5 looked the best from what we saw walking around. Spot #5 was the largest and most beautiful that we saw! Of course, we didn’t walk around the whole campground. Overall we had a great time, the other guests were friendly, and the host was very accommodating! Thanks so much Mitch!

Forks Sol Duc Campground
We loved our stay at Sol Duc Campground 😊. It was private and secluded besides a little hwy noise. There's a path down to the river. That was great. My family can be loud so not every campground is for us but here my children were aloud to be as loud as they wanted. I loved that it was a 2 min drive into Forks and to a gas station for any needs. Thanks Mitch!!!!

Mitch has a great peace of land nestled right next to the Sol Duc River, among some giant old growth trees! A porta-potty available for use was super clean and stocked with TP and sanitizer. When I acquired about purchasing some fire wood from Mitch, he delivered it straight to our campsite within minutes. Super impressed with our stay!

Overall, nice campsite next to the sol duc. It’s a clean site and empty when I was there. Just a little scary because I was by myself and the owls hooting made me nervous. Not great for people that get spooked easily but no problems with the site itself.

This campground has amazing summertime potential!! Our host was so kind, even though we couldn’t stay at the site we reserved due to terrible flooding last week, they refunded us and allowed us to stay in a site further up from the flooding. It is a beautiful place though and we would return in the summertime if able.

For $30, this wasn’t at all what I was expecting. Right on the side of the freeway, building access closed, no fire ring, nor privacy from any surrounding camp neighbors. Basically just parking on the side of the road.

We loved this spot! We got in late but it was really easy to find. Ended up staying for a second night! Loved the proximity to the river, the town of Forks and ONP! Be sure to drive down 101 and check out Ruby beach. We would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and private close to the river and town. Mitch is very friendly and insightful when it comes to fishing. Definitely a great place to camp if you want a relaxing vacation close to town and river and service!

The camp site is rustic enough to keep you close to the nature. The river access was the best. We took a dip in the morning. Through the sites don’t have hookups, you have fresh water access on site. You can also drive out to 101 N, take a next turn to find the camp office where they have hookups to empty and refill.

Great, small campground. Most spaces are good-sized and fairly private. A few have nice tucked away areas in the trees toward the back of the space (3 & 5 I think). Spaces 1-7 are Hipcamp, they are the first down the driveway. There are more close to the river thru Forks Sol Duc camping website. We had a 20’ trailer in space 7 and were very comfortable. Walk/rope to river is fun, scenery is great. Good people, nice location, close to Forks, Rialto, La Push, Etc. Super easy in and out.

I'm already planning my next trip out to Forks, and plan on staying at this campground. Huge trees, huge sites, and access to the Sol Due River make this place my new fishing destination on the peninsula.

Great campsite!! We were super excited to find the little trail that led down to a big additional space with a table and fire pit (that we didn’t use cause of the burn ban). Kids loved playing on the swings and exploring the trail down to the river. Lots of magical trees! Beautiful place!

Easy to find and settle in even on short notice. Helpful and responsive host. Nice relatively big sites, clean, with big trees and well organized sites including very nice tables, gravel level sites and kids play structure.

EZ to find. Nice riverside camp is very clean. Mitch is a local guide, so he is a great resource for knowledge. Very mild highway noise like waves in the distance. Rope-assisted access to river is very handy. Definitely would return.

Perfect central point between all the beaches and the Rainforest! Appears most spots are set for Rvs. I had spot #6 and had room for one tent plus 2 canopies. River wasn't easy accessible but this was right after I heavy downpour of rain. Multiple honeybuckets were a definite plus! We used the state park showers, less then 10 miles down the road!

This was a great spot for our family. The campground is quiet and just outside of Forks. Great hub for visiting other spots around the peninsula.
The spots are a good size and all slightly different. Some have hidden little spots for tables or hammocks. Ours had a hollowed out tree like a house.
Mitch came around to refill the water tank and check on guests multiple times a day.

Had a great time. Mitch was very friendly and our kids wouldn’t stop going to the little playground. There is an awesome swimming hole at the river. The camp spots are all unique and pretty cool.

Host messaged us the morning of our stay changing the site location from 1 to 10 and it was a less than ideal site. Site 1 looked like it had a nice tucked back location with more privacy. It's also laughable the site we ended up on could comfortably fit 8 people as we booked. Only one clearing for a tent and had to squeeze our two cars together. Most of the sites in the middle are stuck up against each other with very little distance and privacy. We heard a RV generator for the first couple hours of our night. Posting mentioned a drinking water source, but I never found it after walking the whole campground.
