My family bought this property from a wonderful man renowned in the world of plant pathology. My father once asked him, "George, what is the secret to a long and happy life?" George took a deep breath and exhaled. He smiled, a twinkle in his eye, and said, "Randy, (dramatic pause), don't worry, {another lengthy pause) don't hurry." We are fortunate to live here, and we want to share the beauty with you. Please stay here and take a moment free of worry and free of hurry. About the site: This 17-foot 2005 Jay Feather Ultra Lite trailer is clean and cozy - perfect for one or two people. A third person is welcome, but it will likely be a little cramped. The double bed has a memory foam mattress and is made-up with quality sheets. Towels are provided at no extra cost. The kitchen has a 3 burner propane stove and oven, a small fridge, a microwave, and sink. Coffee, tea, tea kettle, French Press, creamer, and sugar are provided, as well as a few dishes, a pot and pan, and utensils. The spring water is sourced directly from our property and filtered, so you can enjoy it from the tap! In my opinion, it's some of the best water around - feel free to fill up before you depart. The site is set back from WA-State Route 106, but only by about 20 yards. There is traffic noise during the day, but it's not too bad, and it is typically pretty quiet at night. Hopefully you enjoy the sounds of wildlife ~ birds, lapping waves, and even a creek add to the experience. A panoramic view of the estuary is one of the best parts of this property. It's dreamy, really. With the tide changing every 6 hours, you just can't get bored. You may fall asleep to tide flats and wake up to what feels like a lake. If you like being on or in the water - bring some kayaks, surf or paddle boards, and some high quality water shoes (never go barefoot!). You will have access to 400 feet of private beach and tide flats. Kayaking is tide dependent - recommendations for paddle times will be in the binder. If you have your shellfish license, feel free to harvest a few oysters or clams (depending on DOH recommendations) . Be aware - it is a rustic beach, and it is across the highway, so watch for traffic and watch your step on the beach. Our house is within sight of the trailer, but you have to make an effort to see it. From our house, we can only see the parking spot, and due to shrubbery & a shed, we can't hear talking voices, so it is pretty private. We do have 2 very friendly, small dogs who will undoubtedly alert us to your arrival, but they stay on our deck and quiet down right away. A welcome binder and maps will help you get an idea of the area. For a tiny town, Union has a LOT to offer - there are several dining choices within a few miles. Union was even listed in the top 10 "Prettiest Towns in America" in Forbes Magazine in 2009! Learn more about this land: One of a kind view of the Skokomish Estuary and Olympic Mountains. Enjoy a different scene with the changing tide. Bald Eagles, Salmon, Great Herons. One night stays may be optional for an additional fee. Message for more info before booking.

Fischer's Place on the Estuary
The Perfect Cozy Getaway
Wowowow! I arrived at night so didn't get to see much of the outside, but when I woke up, the view made me wish that I had stayed a little longer :). It was so beautiful and the water was like glass, with birds flying and almost skimming the top. The little home itself completely exceeded my expectations! It was fully equipped with all the amenities, a thoughtful welcome note and sweet & salty snacks, coffee/tea/hot chocolate (I took one of each hehe), bathroom items, delicious local filtered water, fresh beautiful flowers, binoculars, a sound system, books, games, and a very thorough binder full of helpful information about the area and its history. The bed was also SO comfy!! And I loved the string lights. I would definitely stay here again. Camas was very communicative and informative! Made my first night of my 7-day trip very memorable. Thank you!

Camas’ little trailer was perfect! It had a complete kitchen including spices, coffee, sugar etc (except your food) and was very cozy. It is right across the street from the estuary so I had beautiful and different views every day as the light and tides changed. It is perfect for one person, but a couple and a small child would fit especially if the weather is nice and you can go outside. She has a lovely little patio right outside the door. She was a friendly and helpful host as well. I would heartily recommend this little slice of heaven.

Classy Trailer On The River
Fischer's Place was perfect for our needs. Very clean and well stocked accommodations. Stove, fridge, grill, and toilet/shower all worked smoothly. Nice hosting touches by Camas, including binoculars to help spot the wealth of water wildlife from the patio. This is a great cozy base of operations for exploring Mason County and beyond.

If you are a birder...stay here
In this cozy little trailer, you will want for nothing. Any and everything you want or need is here. Birding from the patio is AMAZING. My 3rd visit here and hopefully I can get in a couple more before winter. Very beautiful and interesting area.

Amazing view, excellent hospitality
I had such an incredible stay! The view is unbelievable, and it was so fun to explore such a beautiful area of Washington. You cannot beat looking out at the sunsets over the mountains and water from this cute little camper. I saw tons of eagles, seals, and all sorts of other life out on the estuary! The hosts were so kind and thoughtful. This stay has everything you need and more. From oil, to seasoning, to coffee and tea, to creamer, to flowers, to binoculars, they’ve thought of everything and truly went above and beyond! There is a binder full of recommendations around the town and all the information you need about the camper to have a comfortable stay. Plus the AC and wifi were wonderful luxuries to have! I was able to chat with them for a while and hear about their lives and the property, and it was overall just a great experience and wonderful little getaway. I highly recommend :)

A sky full of sun paintings ☀️
Camas was the paragon of what a host should be, courteous- helpful. Communicative and sweet. We enjoyed our stay so much we didn’t want to ever leave! 😊The trailer was parked on an amazing vista, and was set up with all the amenities you’ll ever need to stay comfortably. We needed some extra supplies we hadn’t planned for to cook and Camas was beyond helpful. The bed was super comfortable and everything was meticulously clean. Camper feels like it’s brand new and well maintained. The instructions we so well thought out- you can tell thoughtfulness and heart were put into the design. We give this stay the highest rating possible, and will definitely be back more than once !! We were able to enjoy a couple of the many hikes in the super helpful binder, and we caught some fish in the Skokomish river super close by, as well as Black lake. The area is super great for those that enjoy bird watching too! You won’t regret it.

Calm with wild views
Incredible view and Camas is so kind but you don’t feel like the main house is nearby though it is. Can see otters, seals, kingfishers, egrets, and the Olympic mountains from the deck! Trailer has all the necessary amenities but was more my size (5’4”) than my partner’s (6’3”). I always tell him he is too big! Go for coffee on the lovely patio.

Warm renter and stunning views
Camas was an incredible host. If you want to feel safe and cared for, hers is a great spot. There are a couple kinks getting worked out, but on the whole I really appreciated the thoughtfulness of this renter and how so many things were made available to ensure a comfy stay. Great to have easy access to cooking and refrigeration. Bed is super comfy. The scenery is incredible. We watched eagles and other creatures from the RV ❤

Comfy stay with an incredible view
Camas is an incredible host. She had everything you could possible need for a nights stay. There was a detailed binder with information about the area and things to do. The view outside the RV was incredible. We saw eagles, sea birds and sea lions all right outside our door. If you like oysters, this is the place for you, you can harvest a few yourself from the front "yard". This was a bit of a hidden gem, we had no idea about the area before going, and we would have definitely stayed longer if we had time. We couldn't recommend it more!
