A small hobby farm located minutes from I90 and The Gorge Ampitheater. We raise chickens, quails and occasionally larger livestock. We have horses and mini donkeys as well as 2 working LGD's on site. We are surrounded by fields of farmland. "Quiet time" is difficult to put limits on because we have no control over when harvest for local crops needs to occur. Please be aware that farm machinery may be harvesting late into the night or start very early in the morning. For the summer of 2025 we have alfalfa in the surrounding fields. Local attractions include: Wild Horse Monument & Gingko Petrified Forest are about 15 miles west on I90. Several wineries within a 20 min drive, Moses Lake/Sand dunes 30-45 min drive east on I90 Leavenworth Bavarian Village 60-90 min depending on traffic

Grassy area suitable for 2 tents. No real shade other than a small lilac bush due to the old elm tree not making it through winter 2024. Farm field to the west. Picnic table and solar lights. Bring a tarp for under tent as we are watering this area daily in the summer to keep it green.

Silo Tent Site

The Silo Tent Site is the farthest site from the house but also probably the most likely to hear Fancy, our LGD, barking. It sits along the property line next to the irrigation canal. Monday-Saturday, March to October, there is an irrigation truck that travels this canal once a day between 9 and 11 am. The only real camera we have on the property is pointed in this direction and is meant to monitor the doors of the shop. The grassy area in this space is large enough to hold 2-3 tents depending on size so if your party is more than 4 people just reach out in advance. We are very flexible. This space is also closest to the horse and donkeys, and you might wake up to Tulip our 23-year-old mare or Johnny and Chewy our mini rescue donkeys grazing on the other side of the electric fence. This is a pretty spot but again quite possibly the loudest with the rooster and Fancy. The portable toilet is a bit of a walk, located behind the dog kennel.

This tent site is accessed through the gravel area and is separated from the actual pasture by corral panels. This site will accommodate 3, 4-person tents with room for camp chairs, depending on shape of tents and arrangement. Our mini donkeys and horse graze in this pasture and may come up to the area. Please don't feed them, they are aged and are medically complicated. All they can have is grass, hay and an occasional peanut. There is no gate on this site. Lots of parking in the gravel area.

East Pasture Group Site

This site is on the east side of the property and large enough to accommodate 10 people and really unlimited tents, however we need to limit the cars to 4 and we will show you where to park once you are unloaded. (This is to prevent other campers from feeling like they are viewing a parking lot.) It's a bit of a walk on uneven ground (literal pasture) so be ready to get some steps in. This pasture has some soft fluffy clover which is great to sleep on but also attracts bees. The horses are not allowed in that area in the summer so there are no 'piles' to step in or over.

RV site is situated inside the pasture gate to the right. There is a ton of flexibility with this space. For average RVs there is plenty of room for maneuvering. Please not the elm tree om the right in these pictures has been removed for safety reasons.

This space is between the corrals that Chewy, one of our mini donkey's calls home and the dog kennel where our pup Whiskey lives when he is not learning to patrol the property. Later in the summer this garden space will be surrounded with mammoth sunflowers that will also provide some shade. A perfect space to relax, have a beverage or read a book. The drawback to this site is that occasionally Whiskey will bark, especially if he sees you. Chewy is 15 years old and set in his ways. He will bray (sounds like he's dying) when he sees people. You can maneuver so that your RV door is facing away from him and go ahead and use that generator!!

Great camping for Gorge Amphitheatr

This is a great camp to go to after a Gorge Amphitheatre show. The hosts were awesome: checked on us when we got there and in the morning, and there is a stand where you can buy a few basic things. It's abou 15-20 minutes from the amphitheatre. It has a lovely view for your morning coffee.

Scott & Amy were incredibly hospitable and generous hosts. They were extremely helpful, friendly and highly communicative. When Scott thought there was a better option for us, he showed us and let us make that decision. When asked, Amy provided an excellent choice of coffee and breakfast places, and her selections were right on the money. Overall, this was a great place to camp, and I would 10/10 stay here again.

What a fun place to camp. Scott was so friendly and helpful. You’ll hear the farm animals early in the morning, but we enjoyed that and it made us laugh. They quiet down after feeding so you can sleep late after they wake up. Aside from the beautiful setting, the second best part was how close this was to The Gorge. Side note: visit their onsite store. A dozen farm fresh eggs for $5?! Gatorade for $2? How about Fresh Quail Eggs? These folks are so reasonable with pricing. Pick up some stuff for the road!

Quiet retreat after a Gorge concert

We had site #1 which had a little tree which gave us some shade late afternoon. We had a peaceful comfortable sleep and made breakfast using our camp stove on the bench provided.Amy and Scott's farm and garden are a pleasure to see .We bought fresh eggs and peaches. Remember to take water though ,it's a dry camp. Recommended.

Amy and Scott’s place was a perfect spot for a night while seeing a concert at The Gorge. Safe, well cared for, and serene. I highly recommend it! And make sure when you get back after the show to check out the stars. A stunning view on a clear night that you won’t want to miss.

The hosts were great with communication and were very accommodating. This is a great place to stay if you’re headed to the Gorge as it’s only 20 minutes away. Clean space and toilets. Our favourite part was hanging out with the donkeys. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks for our great stay!!!🩷

My experience here was wonderful! The hosts were so friendly, responsive, and very accommodating. I slept very well and really enjoyed meeting some of their animals. Their property is beautiful and it is evident that they work hard to make it a pleasant place to stay. I will absolutely plan on coming back when I’m out this way again.

I’m so glad I found this spot! I was planning on camping at Ancient Lakes but the bugs were swarming. I booked a spot here last minute and it was great! They are very friendly people and their farm is adorable. I had the place to myself, no biting flies to deal with! They have a little shed with provisions for sale and I got some tallow skin cream she makes which is wonderful! Next time I hike Ancient Lakes I’ll definitely be staying here.

Amy and Scott were attentive and friendly hosts. The chickens, quails, donkeys, and dogs were incredible to watch. We also loved the scones and night lights around the farm. We are already looking forward to returning one day. Thanks for sharing your wonderful farm!

The hosts (and farm animals) are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. It's also very close to The Gorge yet a much quieter place to sleep after a show. This was my second time staying and I plan to do it for all of my Gorge shows :)

it was so nice to pull up to our little private ‘paddock’ next to Chewy, the mini-donkey! (who oversaw us and made sure we behaved ourselves appropriately) The sunflowers are on their way and will be gorgeous, and we really appreciated the little table and chairs for when we didn’t want to be in the Airstream trailer. also very appreciated- the little sink in the portapotty for handwashing. While the set up is primitive (and well-set up in expectations) it was a nice detail. Another nice detail was the ‘shed’ that held a fridge with eggs, cold water, iced coffee cans and baked goods for purchase. For a festival day at the Gorge, that would be handy- and to cool off, you can buy a frozen candy bar out of the freezer. The Great Pyrenees doggos are excellent watchdogs, and the other hip campers were very nice that we spoke with. We all appreciated having enough space around each site. Lastly, our daily visits from Scott were chatty and fun but not intrusive. also the reminder about the windstorm helped us not lose our 10x10 tent shade. much appreciated all around.

Absolutely great stay! Love the space and the owners are so kind and thoughtful. They took the time to greet us and make us feel more than welcome. Highly recommend this spot, best place I've stayed on hip camp!!

Great spot to camp 10 minutes from the Gorge Amphitheater. The camping fees at the venue are outrageous. Amy's property had plenty of room for us to park our trailer for the night. The rooster and donkey were quite active in the morning, but we were given ear plugs upon arrival! I would stay here again. It was the perfect (affordable) accommodation.

Scott and Amy were super nice hosts. This was my first time using Hipcamp, and I couldn't have hoped for a better experience. Fat Pony Farm is a perfect camping alternative if you are seeing a show at the Gorge Amphitheater, but you don't want to pay the Gorge Campground prices.

We loved our stay at Scott and Amy’s! We stayed for our concert at the Gorge and the location worked out perfectly. Scott was very friendly and accommodating, you can tell they care and what your stay to be the best! Their property is beautiful and well kept. We will always stay here for concert now, beats being in a crammed campground.

I selfishly do not want to give a good review so I can keep this gem for myself!! My friend and I came into town to see Luke Combs at The Gorge. The owners felt like long time friends, their property is breathtakingly beautiful (the most Ahh-mazing sunrise), the animals are so fun with well-behaved pups, we felt safe and will be back!!

Really nice couple and very easy to find, we stayed here because we went to a concert at the Gorge and it was much better than camping at the venue like we had done previously. Clean bathroom, clean campsite and they have lights out front for when you’re coming in at night you can see it from down the road which helps a lot.

Great for a weekend at The Gorge

We decided to see a show at the Gorge last minute and were lucky to find an available camping site within 20 minutes of the venue. We stayed at the RV site since it was the last one available, but we didn't need all the space since we just car camped. The tent site next to us was occupied, so we were still able to have some space and privacy between us. The port a potty was clean and stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and shared with the other tent sites on the lot. At check in we were given ear plugs in case the animals were too loud, which was very considerate. I would come back again for a weekend at the Gorge, since it was so close to the venue and good cell service.
