We were lucky to get the place all to ourselves, beautiful area within driving distance of hiking/view of the river. Highly recommend for a chill weekend close to town

I loved camping here. We went mid-week so we happened to have the place to ourselves! Was pleasantly surprised to find the playground amongst the trail on the property, my son couldn’t get enough of the tire swing. The portapotty was clean, which was a huge plus for me. Would definitely come again.

Pros: not very many bugs but there was no water in the creek. Quite a bit of shade. Camp site itself was fairly clean. Good amount of space for two people - had a six person tent and large screen tent. Nice fire pit. Cons: no privacy - eye contact with other sites and can hear everything. Beach is not much of a beach… more of a river with large rocks.

We did not end up staying at the campsite. We showed up, and it was underwhelming. The site was very small and very close to the neighboring sites with little privacy. We ended up spending the extra money and staying at clear creek campground nearby even though we had already paid for the hipcamp. It had great reviews, so I was very excited to try it out, but unfortunately was disappointed. There was a picnic table and a firepit.

Camping close to the ice caves!!

We loved the campsite, the picnic table and the playground with a Zip line was a blast. Very nice hidden gem, private space with a lot of trees that make the place more private. We definitely come back again!!

Lovely little tree-covered spot

This was a nice little spot in the trees. The table and fire pit were a lovely touch, and the campground had the cleanest porta potty I've ever seen. It was close to Mountain Loop Highway, but we couldn't see the cars at all and the traffic was sparse enough in that area it was not an issue. There was only one other group there, so we had plenty of space, but I could see how it would be a bit cozier when busier. But it was a great spot close to Darrington but still felt secluded.

When we arrived, the site was kind of hard to find due to the over growth. I would recommend removing almost all of the weeds so the creek is visible and there is less mosquitos.

Second time I've been here and was just as good as the first! Stayed in site 1, it was plenty big enough and felt secluded compared to some of the other sites. Great location to drive up into mountain loop for the day. Porta potty was also spotless!

The sites are pretty close to one another, but the area is great. Very close to hiking and the small town of Darrington; was able to pick up firewood there.

The site was great and fit my friends' three tents snuggly but comfortably. Site 4 had a picnic table, despite the listing omitting this. Neighboring sites were quite close and the central garbage and recycling were overflowing. Overall the downsides were nominal and my friends and I had a great time.

Great space in the woods “close” to River. Picnic table and fire pit made it an easy setup for home base while we explored nearby.. Lulled to sleep by the rapids. Would stay here again.

We had a great stay at this campsite. Easy access to the toilet and a 10 min walk to the Backman county park for water access! As advertised, no picnic table so pack your chairs.

Simple and basic, but exactly what we needed. Place was nice and clean and wasn’t too big, so not a lot of traffic meant it was quiet. Location was great and I have never seen such a clean camp toilet!!!! Super helpful host! We will absolutely use again.

Great camp site! Everything was clean and well kept (Porta potty was spotless too). Super close to river and public park for swimming/wading. Nice big trees for shade to keep cool. Camp sites were a little less secluded an more open to eachother than we expected, and there was some traffic noise from mountain highway beside the property. Overall would still recommend, and enjoyed our stay, especially for a place super close to civilization!

We had an awesome stay! Devan was an amazing host. Would stay here again. Great location for rafting and short drive to mountain biking. The campsites were clean, spacious, and flat for campers and tents. Each camp has its own fire pit and mulched area to park a rig or tent. The porta potty was clean and stocked with TP.

We arrived to site five in the afternoon. However, we noticed there was no fire ring in this campsite, at least at this time. I messaged the host asking if there were any other available sites we could move to. Devan Responded back in about five minutes and allowed us to move to a different site mediately. Very quick, very accommodating. As of June 23 when we left, Site 5 is the only one that currently does not have a fire ring. I would also say site 5 is probably the smallest. Can accommodate a car and a 4 to 6 man tent comfortably and that’s about it. There is a table. About site 1. I would highly recommend site one. It felt the most private with a good amount room for a large tent and a hammock. The provided facilities were also in excellent shape. The port a potty Was very clean and there were trash barrels on the side for your trash. There was wood provided for purchase in the center of the campsite. Could hear the river running nice and loud across the street. Great to sleep to. I would definitely recommend a stay at the adventure awaits campsite.

We loved camping at Devan's property. It was the perfect getaway from the city, about an hour drive and it was exactly what we needed. The spaces are quite large and provided seating and firepit, with firewood to purchase onsite. It was very quiet and the sound of the river was so soothing to fall asleep to. There are tons of hikes and nature walks within the area, and town is a few miles out if you need any supplies. Devan was attentive and was extremely helpful with any questions. This was an amazing and restful stay, we will definitely be returning in the summer.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this campsite. It was big enough to fit all 6 of us and our 6 dogs. The hosts were very informative and friendly. The spots comfortably secluded, quiet and clean. We watched the northern lights. It was beautiful!

Quiet spot just South of Darrington with walking distance to the Sauk River, and a little creek running through. Nice to get away and Devan was a great host!
